Mastermind looked pretty battered after that round, and Kit knew it. So with a jump and a skip ad a hop, she went to light up his life. Literally. A surge of flame cycled up and around the Porygon, but in a concentrated wisk of light, he was gone. The Flames stood no chance of striking Pory, as he reappeared above her-already glowing.

He continued to glow as Kit looked for her target. Instinct finally told her to look up as he saw Porygon in a new shining light. Oh that can't be good. She fired her Flamethrower, but Pory now fired off several stars in a row directly for Kit. The Stars sped down with an immense ferocity previously unknown to Kit and they sliced through the hyped up Flamethrower and struck her down!

Kit tried to stand, but the stars were too much for her, it seemed. She stays down. The flames that did reach Mastermind were not strong enough to take him out, luckily.

And we now are...in the underwater seascape of Ryugyo. Taint bad. Otohime and Ruby look well enough, since they're both of the aquatic inclination. The battle resumes with the massive dragon encircling overhead for a bit. No worries Chaos, yer ok down here.

Otohime doesn't pay the wily starfish no mine, instead bolstering her defenses with a nice little Light Screen. Ruby does a strange dance in the sea here, and well, somewhere up above, a rain cloud began pouring. Didn't really affect the battle here.

Glad her screen was up, Oto now watched from behind it, floating still as Ruby fired a massive Bolt of Thudner directly upon her. Oto was thankful for the barrier, but that attack still hurt. And now...she had it filed away into memory.

Otohime watched as a second electric attack, this one being a Thunderbolt, came to sear her insides, but she retaliated with a Thunder all her own. Ruby was caught off guard and was shocked starfishless. The Thunderbolt reached Oto, but its reduced efficiency made it bearable.

Smirking, Oto fires off another Thunder in this underwater palace. Chaos and I watch with awe as this electrical current surges forth in complete control, only to be filtered out at the last second before hitting Ruby. The echidnoderm wriggles backwards, glad to have dampened that strike.

Seeing that her own tactic was now used against her, Oto tried to blast the starfish with a few confusion rays. But quick as a flash, the starfish was gone! Oto peered up from behind her safety net, not realizing Ruby reappeared behind her.

Havig the jump on Oto was a painful experience for the snakefish, as a massive jolting bolt of Elctricity was used. It seemed unstable, but it worked, giving Oto a massive crippling shock. The only problem was even though debilitating, Oto could still move. Her retaliation was swift, even as her Thunder seemed to be lacking inthe power department right now.

Otohime and Ruby continue their electrifying round. Oto hissed and tried to swim backwards, and found that the paralysis has taken hold. She tried to wriggle away, but is fried in a instant by Ruby. Ruby spun in place, glad to have gotten a hit in.

Oto was irate, but did not give up on trying to stop Ruby. Hypnotic suggestions were cast at Ruby, whom tried to ward them off by spinning and forcing a Twister toward Oto. But Ruby started to slow down, and the Twister lost strength, finally failing as Ruby stayed in place, sleeping.

Now at the mercy of Oto, the snake moved back behind her screen once more and released her own Thunder at Ruby. But the sleeping Pokemon now had a second set of trouble. The blast sent Ruby in the path of a turtle. The turtle tried to evade, but would up hitting Ruby and sent the starfish spinnig to the left.

Not sure of her own body reliability, Otohime finally is able to focus on the affliction and force it out of her system. Its just then that another banzai turtle slams through striking her in the face. Ruby, spinning in place, starts to rotate even faster, and create a massive ball of light. It flies out and strikes Oto, whom's glad it wasn't as powerful as it could have been.

Free of the sickness, Oto now went full offensive. She hastily constructed a Dragon pulse, and fired it at the damn 'fish. Ruby went flippin backwards hard, and crashed into the coral reef. Upon that stinging impact on its underside, it woke up! Aware of the hell it was going through. Ruby focused a nasty Thunder right for Otohime. The massive serpent coiled up, but the sting still hurt-alot.

Oto had one last trick to pull out. As Ruby charged up another Thunderous assault, the bulky water type fired a blast of light its way. The Confuse Ray hit its mark, but the Thunder flew forth...and missed!! Ruby stared, seeing the coral break away into pieces. Was that right?

Otohime looked run down, unable to battle, but there was a glean in her eye. She survived this far, and that damn Staryu wasn't taking this from her. A sparking was heard from over yonder, and she groaned, upset this damn fish was still able to attack!

Yes, Ruby forced its mind to blast away at the snakeserpentfish thing (ran outta synonyms), and the Thunder connected, leaving Otohime in a world of hurt. However, a recurrent blast shot forth and rammed into Ruby. Ruby reeled back from the sudden pain...and then went limp! Otohime breathed heavy, realizing how close she was to the brink just then.

Mew Master clinches the win-and Ryujin roars in approval of the last minute decision. A quick whirlpool and we're suddenly back in the sky, no the ground, whoa where are we gonna land....


15. Jund – The Ur-Dragon (Original/Magic the Gathering)

The embodiment of all dragons, the living force behind the majesty, ferocity, and destruction. The Ur-Dragon is the origin of all dragons and shares similar characteristics with them all. It's body is a bright golden collection of armored scales, with two sets of massive wings, one leathery and the other feathered. The body is long and serpentine, graceful as its powerful fore and hind limbs never seem to touch the ground, each ending in massive claws. The head is large and wedge-shaped, covered in horny protrusions. Massive teeth line the jaw as bones spur off the back hinge of the lower jaw. Its eyes are black orbs with two white rings that rotate around a white orb within the eye. As the eyes focus, the rings overlap and rotate, almost like a camera zooming in.

The arena is Jund, the shard of the plane Alara where dragons are at the top of the pecking order. Broken by volcanic activity, jungle overgrowth, and bubbling tar-filled swamps, the entire arena is a place of devastation and survival of the fittest. Here the strength of Dragon Type attacks is doubled above and beyond any Type advantage. On this arena two Pokemon from each side are released for a double battle, and takes up two spots in the battle roster. If the Trainers were using 4 Pokemon and this arena is selected, they will use only 2 more Pokemon after leaving this arena.

Hazards:
Ur-Dragon – A being of hunger, heat, and need, the Ur-Dragon will lash out with a massive Hyper Beam capable of hitting all Pokemon in a single move. Only attacks once every three Rounds.
Jund – Volcanic crevasses, carnivorous plants, tar pits. Jund is a land of danger and can severely damage anyone who isn't careful of where they are going.
Dragons – Other dragons can enter the fight, trying to devour the Pokemon invading their territory. Each Dragon has 40 Health and Energy to spend in combat, can fly in, leave, and have access to all Dragon and Fire Type attacks. They are considered Dragon/Fire for Damage.

Bonuses:
Dragon Soul – All Dragon Type attacks gain a x2 to damage above and before any Type Advantage is taken into effect. Even the weakest Dragon Claw can slay another dragon

Special
Blood – No Damage Cap for this Arena. Visitors aren't expected to stay very long.
Rage – Every Pokemon will be under the effects of the move Rage even if they do not normally learn it. Increasing their Attack after each attack received.
Fury – Pokemon are under the effects of Taunt for their stay in this Arena and must have a target to attack. Attacks absorbing Damage, such as Counter, Mirror Coat, Bide, and Metal Burst can still be used as normal.
War – Double Battle, each trainer sends out two Pokemon to fight. This number can be increased to more, but both Trainers must agree to the terms before hand. The team with more surviving Pokemon wins the points for this Arena.

We land in this precarious jungle setting, where everything is alive. Careful Chaos, we're gonna hafta fight our way out of here. Dragons circle the sky, and a massive big headed snarly skined behemoth of a beast looks down upon us all. It roars, and the four Pokemon all seem to undergo a bit of angst, as they start twitching and flexing, ready to rip each other apart. Its a truly chaotic sense of mind here.

Ziz and Zu do a high low approach, both gunning for Togepi. Ziz lights up the jungle underbrush with a Flamethrower that strikes the egg. Zu wastes n time in usig the area to his advantage, blasting a massive Dragon Pulse that seems to shatters Togepi instantly. The power here was amazing, but Togepi was feeling pretty good right about now.

Pretty good and pissed off! It screeched and released a massive Water Pulse that smacked Zu backwards, right as a Twister came through and ripped Zu apart, courtesy of Raven. The small slier stared down as Ziz shot past, already fiending for another chance to scar the egg.

Zu and Togepi seemed to be having an internal battle in their systems as well as the external bashfest outside. Roars could b heard from all around, and even Chaos is starting to get affected. Calm down boy, not yet. Zu and Ziz again go high low. Both now do Dragonesque powers, leaving Togepi feeling really pissed off at the end of that breathy Pulsing barrage. Raven stayed clear of the ground Zero narrowly avoiding a giant Venus man-trap!

A second Twister was created from Raven's swift banking turns around the area, knocking Zu away from Togepi long enough for the enraged egg to get all omeletty on its face with another Water Pulse. No good for Zu, his world went spirals.

By the grace of the dragon lords, Zu is confused and highly enraged. Ziz glares at Togepi and tries to keep the plan going, barreling onto Togepi with a Twister of her own. The Eggy goes flying for the moment as a second Twister zips by, throwing Zu on his back. Completly enraged, Zu fires off a Dragonbreath at Raven! The Bird is clipped and is taken aback at the amount of power behind that one shot. That in turn ticked Raven off a bit.

Togepi recovers and fires another Water Pulse, slapping Zu on his backside. Zu lunges around disoriented, wondering where it came from.

===Round 69===

Raven raised his leek in a swordlike manner and pointed it forth as it flew past Ziz and raced toward Zu. Zu-still dazed and confused, headed ....o crap he's headed towards us!

Chaos, wait no...O what the hell? Massive dragon foot stomps down next to us, and Zu goes up against what seems to be the Ur-Dragon itself! Chaos and I are out of here, but Zu soars up, rushing for the beasts jaw. Togepi spies the massive dragon as well, and wonders what to do. Raven glared at the newcoming dragon, but watched with trepidation. This left Ziz, who screeched her disapproval at the newcomer, but kept on the path of imminent destruction.

A sharp, shining light began to glow from Ur itself, and Chaos and I are heading away from what looks to be Ground Zero. Chaos grabbed both Mew and mike to save them from the devastation about to occur. Chaos gets some good elevation over a lava pit and a huge crevass, and we barely see Zu fly into the light of this massive dragon's mouth, its like Independence Day all over again.

A massive-and I'm talking all encompassing flash blasts on the entire area, and all 4 Pokemon vanish in the blink of an eye. The fading light allows us to soar back into the fight zone. Dropping off Mew and Mike, they scurry to see where their Pokemon are.

The ground is scorched, and the first to emerge is Raven, horribly smoldering and with barely half a leek. He points over to a mound, which turns out to be Ziz. Ziz weakly grumbled and stands up, revealing Togepi completly knocked out. But Ziz was not in the best of shape either.

That leaves Zu. It took Mew a few moments before Zu was found, face down 60 yards away near the deeper end of the trailblast that was left by that Hyper Beam. All in all, it became a 2 man battlefield again...WAIT NO! Zu's moving! Barely!

Zu is probably gonna need a moment to recover. Not to mention there seems to be tar seeping into the area where he's lying. Ziz is shaking off the monstrous hit, as Ur rolls away into the sky-and ..o jeez are there more dragons coming? That's no good. But Raven takes the time to crash into Ziz's head with a heavy Steel Wing. Ziz growls, but yeah, he's not moving.

A streaking blue blaze rushes past Raven, and turns back into Zu! But he missed, Raven quite glad for that.

Ziz barely stays focused as Raven turns his attention to Zu again. Zu speeds right for Raven, and gets caught in another Twister. Zu does manage to break through and slice the front of Raven's chest with that devastating attack. Raven crashes hard on his back, realizing that Zu was pretty worked up after all of this.

Zu crashes to the ground, and I'm pretty sure its down for the count.

After that doosy of a last round, it seems the Competition is almost over. But Ziz seems content just sitting still, despite having already recuperated from that Giga Impact earlier. As such. Raven zooms over and with all the anger and energy it can muster, it rails on Ziz the beating of a lifetime.

Chaos roars, as dragons enter the fray now, but Raven may have already did the deed. Raven ends the total body bash and laughs as Ziz recovers.

Raven is stunned to see Ziz is alive and well. Well not well, but ok enough to bound over to Raven and slam his jaws into Raven's backside. Raven howls in pain, but then drops his leek, completely cooked. Ziz backs away from the body, pained and tired.

Raven looks up to see the predator open its jaws once more, before whipping around. A thick black rod of sorts slams Raven in the face, knocking the bird into flight once more. Raven crashes some feet away, defeated.

Whoo! Out of here we go!! Zip zip and poof, we end up back in the base stage! With that win, Mew Master pulls to within striking distance for the lead!! The Dragons roar in surprise of seeing these two fighters back. Mike still looks calm, but unlike last time, there are far less Pokemon left to choose from. Who will take it all!
