Crown34 vs. Metallix Girl (ref: DL til Ossy gets back!)
The stage is Pokemon Floats. I don't particularly care about abilities or about any banned moves my opponent wants.

Re: Crown34 vs. Metallix Girl (ref: Oslo )
A few notes on the arena before I begin:
> battle takes place high up in the air on an oversized Pokemon balloon that is peculiarly solid and can't be popped/distorted
> after 2-5 rounds, the balloon you're on will begin to lose altitude and your Pokemon will be forced to jump to a new balloon at the expense of one action
> Frozen/Sleeping Pokemon will sense this loss in altitude and, in a panic, will overcome their statuses to make the transfer
> all Pokemon, even mobility challenged ones (think: Probopass or Snorlax) can hop
> the balloons strengthen attacks based on the type (eg. Chikorita balloons boost Grass-type moves, Salamence balloons boost Dragon and Flying moves, etc.)
> only Pokemon physically touching the balloon gain the boost (flying/Levitating Pokes are out of luck)
> moves that require solid ground (Earthquake, Ingrain, etc.) will fail
> any Pokemon that fall off the balloon will be saved by my Swellow

Woohoo, Pokefloats! A kallion balloons, a kajillion miles up in the air and a kajillion volts of pure awesome running through every action-packed second… what more could you want? Today, two trainers will do battle atop the many inflatable Pogeys here. I stand beside Metallixs Girl and Crown34 atop the motorized flying trainer platform while Tweety, my trusty Swellow, is prepared to pick up any Pokemon unfortunate enough to fall. Let’s do this!
As the match begins, the two trainers eye an incoming Gligar balloon and toss their Pokeballs onto its belly. Out pops a spritely purple bug and a wee blue mudskipper that exchange looks charged with competitive spirit. Aaand… they’re off!
Zenji begins by closing his eyes and commanding a battalion of small rocks to come swooping out of nowhere. Wide-eyed and alert, Magenta dekes and dives past each of these intruding meteorites and sprints circles around her foe, upping her speed in the process. Somebody’s been eating her Wheaties.
Magenta: <-4 EP; +2 Spd>
Zenji: <-4 EP>
Feeling awfully speedy, Magenta quickly unleashes a twin beams that pulsate red and green as they spiral around each other in a double-helix fashion. The attack rips into Zenji, giving the Mudkip the most piercing headache imaginable, but he remains strong as he bounds over toward his foe. He brings his water-infused tail slamming into his Venonat opponent, causing her to tumble backward. Nobody likes a wet bug.
Magenta: <-6 HP; -8 EP>
Zenji: <-9 HP; -4 EP>
Raising a brow, Magenta peers at her foe with a dumbfounded expression as he… er… tries to doggedly to Dive into the Gligar balloon. How is this supposed to work, anyway? Realizing that he isn’t going to be able to claw through the rubber, Zenji improvises by pressing his body flat to the ground in an attempt to avoid incoming attacks. The attempt is actually pretty decent and might have actually worked, but the golden stars that come spinning forth manage to strike Zenji with impeccable accuracy. Better luck next time?

Zenji: <-5 HP>

‡ Round 2 ‡
As the next round begins, Magenta bounces toward Zenji and gives her body a little shake. Purplish power begins to issue from her fur and coats Zenji from head to tail. All of a sudden, the little Mudkip starts feeling awfully queasy. Still, he pulls it together by commanding another army of rocks to do his bidding. This time, they connect with Magenta and pummel the Venonat ruthlessly.
Magenta: <-9 HP; -4 EP>
Zenji: <-4 EP; Poisoned>
Okay, ow? Shaking her head, Magenta goes for another close-range move, this time sinking her wee Venonat fangs into Zenji’s arms. Oww! Annoyed, Zenji opens wide and just about explodes with a concentrated burst of water that launches the lightweight Venonat clear off the Gligar balloon! Egads! Fortunately, Tweety is there with a swift recovery and snatches Magenta up safely before returning her to the balloon. Phew, close one.
Magenta: <-11 HP; -4 EP>
Zenji: <-6 HP; -10 EP>
After those two doozeys, Magenta is looking more than a little ruffled. Bending over, she charges toward Zenji as pinkish energy blossoms around the crown of her head. The Zen Headbutt collides with Zenji, knocking the Mudkip onto his butt, but he seems relatively unruffled. In fact, the little mudskipper is so unperturbed that he looks, well, downright bored. He opens wide and Yawns, causing Magenta to feel a little on the drowsy side all of a sudden. Uh-oh.
Magenta: <-4 EP; Drowsy>
Zenji: <-5 HP; -3 EP>
Zenji flinches as the Poison eats away at his stamina <-3 HP>.

Okay, the third round of our little scuffle begins and… the fighters are tuckered out already? Geez! In unison, Magenta and Zenji close their eyes and decide to take a little nap. What an exciting turn of events.
Magenta: <+20 HP; -15 EP; Asleep>
Zenji: <+20 HP; -15 EP; Asleep>
While Magenta slumbers away, Zenji’s subconscious mind is still ready to kick a little Venonat behind. Suddenly, the Mudkip begins babbling in his sleep and begins shining with pure white light. Just like that, the little mudfishy looks a lot less ill. Yaay!
Magenta: <+6 EP>
Zenji: <-5 EP; Poisoned no more>
Without warning, the chipper smiling Gligar balloon on which our battlers are perched… begins losing altitude! Ahh! No! Blissfully unaware as they sleep away, the balloon starts drifting down beneath the cloud cover. Suddenly, some primal instinct seizes both Magenta and Zenji and they stir from sleep to see clouds milling around them. Uh-oh! Peering left and right, the two fighters look for anything else upon which they can stand and… ooh, lookie! Magenta spots a balloon shaped like a purple-skinned woman just bobbing along and, one by one, the two Pogeys make the jump. Fortunately, the Jynx balloon lifts them up out of the clouds. Ahh, much better.

As the sun blazes overhead, Magenta winks and smiles at her foe. Zenji blushes and finds himself Attracted to the little Venonat all of a sudden. Uh-oh. Either way, he’s still able to unleash a torrent of water her way, but the sun saps a bit of its strength.
Magenta: <-7 HP; -3 EP>
Zenji: <-10 EP; Atr>
Before either combatant can issue moves, the Jynx balloon upon which they’re perched begins to slowly drift downward. Shiiit! Looking left and right, Magenta and Zenji try to find a… ooh, wait, there’s one right here! In unison, the two Pogeys make the hop and wave goodbye to the descending rubber Jynx. This new balloon is squishy and pink and oh-so-cute!
Magenta: <

Okay, unpause. In unison, the two Pogeys trade off a Signal Beam for a Hydro Pump. All of a sudden, as the red-green pulse strikes Zenji, the little Mudkip feels his brains scramble on the spot. He stumbles about dizzily. Oh crap.

As the next round begins, Magenta creates a purple baton out of energy and flicks it skyward. Before Murkrow can act, Magenta glows red and returns to her Pokeball. The trainer plucks a replacement ball from her belt and gives it a toss, summoning a steel-winged bird into the fray. The Skarmory catch the falling baton in his beak, receiving a sudden boost in Speed. Fun!
All of a sudden, Murkrow seems to be broken out of his lovestruck reverie. With faultless Accuracy, Murkrow swoops in toward Sterling and rakes his talons across the Skarmory’s steely plumage, but the attack doesn’t seem to have left too strong of an impression.
Magenta: <-5 EP; -2 Spd>
Murkrow: <-3 EP; Attracted no more>
Sterling: <-2 HP; +2 Spd>
Smirking, Sterling opens his pointy beak wide and begins shrieking uncontrollably. The sharp Metal Sound causes Murkrow to let out a strident cry as his Special Attack stat plummets, but he’s not out of this just yet. The big bad crow unleashes a blast of Dark-type energy, but again, Sterling only seems to take minimal damage.
Sterling: <-3 HP; -4 EP>
Murkrow: <-4 EP; -2 SpD>
Ready to head on the offensive, Sterling summons a blustery wind flecked with snow and ice to come wailing through the air. The cold sets into Murkrow and deals an impressive load of damage, but he retaliates with a Psychic burst that drives Sterling into the head of the Clefairy balloon beneath them. Though the attack successfully puts a tiny dent in the Armour Bird Pokemon’s Special Defence, Sterling largely remains unfazed.
