Satisfied with the outcome, Abby then responds to Tusk's shenanigans by firing off a beam of a random element. In this case, her hidden power source is grass (lucky!). Tusk retalliates by summoning a maelstrom of ice to rain down upon the arena [ -5PP Tusk D. / Hail activated ].

Tusk, completely wiped out, can do nothing as Abby fires off one last beam that completely levels him [ -2HP Tusk D. / -7PP Abby ]. Tusk is recalled, and in his stead is one of Melg's starter pokémon: Athene. The round ends, and Abby plops back down on the ground as her levitation finishes.

The final attacks are called out, and Wolfe decides to lay low. Athene fires off an unusual (for a water-type) flamethrower that Wolfe doesn't even bother dodging. The flames eat the snow away quite easiy before wrapping around Wolfe [ -12HP R. Wolfe / -8PP, -1HP Athene ]. Wolfe's psychic aura reacts before firing off straight at Athene. The blast collides with her light screen, effectively minimalizing the power of the attack [ -9HP Athene / -10PP R. Wolfe ].
