Round 1
You step out of the Safari Zone entrance and into the sunny fields of... Sunshine Fields. Bello is already feeling wonderful due to the sunlight [ @Chlorophyl activated ] as Pach scampers about, sniffing out the ground for a chance to come up with a reward. Smeargle, meanwhile, just whips her tail around while hanging close to you.

As you wander through the hills of the plain, you spot a volbeat looking around, perhaps for his mate.

Round 2
As Smeargle starts painting wings on her back [ -7PP Smeargle / *Fly learned ], Bello heads over to the volbeat and attempts to ask him about a shrine. Pach, meanwhile, scampers about in search for keystones.

A few seconds later, Bell returns to you with information.

"Volbeat claims to know a lot about this place and can take us to, where he believes, this shrine is located... but he needs help finding Illumise."

Round 3
Skether takes to the skies with her newly formed wings and searches for Illumise skyward, while Pachi continues sniffing about for new things. Bello, finally, shudders her pedals and creates a sweet scent [ -5PP Bellosum ] that wafts throughout the plains, attracting some unnecessary attention from quite a few bugs.

Within seconds, you are surrounded by a kriketot, a trio of combee, and and even a butterfree; no sign of Illumise, unfortunately.

Round 4
You ask the three bugs if they know anything about an AWOL illumise, but they don't seem to know anything -- in fact, they're intoxicated with Bello's scent and, thus, useless to your search.

Up above, Sketcher has managed to pinpoint a large bug pokémon that looks similar to Volbeat... but much more feminine.

Sketcher swoops down near, what she hopes is, Illumise, and tries to tell her that someone is looking for her.

She turns around -- Illumise, she is! -- just as you, Pachi and Bello meet up with them.

Just as you're about to tell Illumise about Volbeat, he awkwardly stumbles next to her like a bad Romeo and they share a wonderful reunion. For about twenty minutes.

It's a bit weird.

Afterwhich, Volbeat agrees to take you to the shrine. Success!

Round 7
Volbeat, very eager to get back to his bride, hovers ahead to show you the way to the mystical shrine. Excitedly, you and your pokémon give chase.

After nearly twenty minutes of walking, Volbeat brings you to a waterfall overlooking a crystal-clear lake, and points to it. You see several pokémon, including a pidgey, a ralts, and a zigzagoon drinking from the spring.
