micro: FIND THAT POKEMON!

Hello RPers, and welcome to this the first Micro RPG, a brand new idea brought to you by the collective efforts of myself and ChobiChibi, with special endorsement from our very own Crystal Tears!

Basically, what will happen is this:
- You think of a very small plot idea - we will be making a thread to keep in the Lounge that you can fill with plot ideas
- Once you've got your idea, think of a location - doesn't have to be complex, a simple 'Cinnabar Island' will do
- Think of yourself a character - the idea of these RPGs is not massive detail, but instead to get something snappy and fun, so we never expect sign-up forms unless you want to do one - if you do, you can store them in the Ideas and Plots thread mentioned above
- Right, you're about ready to go! Post your plot, setting and let the RPing begin! But now you need to decide on an estimated running time - as I said before, the idea is to be snappy and quick, so a week, two weeks is going to be an ideal amount. They can go longer, if everyone wants them to.

Confused? Check out the next bit, which is the actual plot of this Micro. I'll also give you a short example of how to post.

Plot: Pokemon have been going missing all over Cinnabar Island! There are so many 'Missing!' signs tacked up everywhere that they have begun to start blowing in the breeze on a windy day.
Estimated Running Time: 2 weeks

As you can see, there is no maximum amount of characters and no maximum amount of players. You can join in with as many characters as you like, and whichever characters you like - for example, I am going to be using my character from FF: Darkness Descends, Temzi. I'll link to his sign-up, so you can get an idea if you need to.

There's also no set plot, and as you can see, no set DM either. This gives the players the freedom to decide what they want to do, and the ability to just make things up as they go along, which is always fun. And the lack of signup forms for characters means that you can go about this without fear of playing someone's character wrong.

Okay, I think that's all the basic details. Here's my post - you don't have to wait for me to reply, you can make up the plot as you go along and post as many times as you like.

Temzi :: Dragoon of Justice

Temzi peered at the layers upon layers of 'missing' leaflets attached to the lantern-on-a-stick he found himself stood next to. He didn't know exactly what the creatures were on the leaflets, but they certainly seemed to be missed a lot, if this mess was anything to go by.

Now, Rachel was quite an experienced trainer, as far as young ones were concerned. She'd been at it for five years now, wondering around Kanto, attempting to catch things that took her interest. But never before had she seen such a... strange looking Pokemon...

It had the build close to that of a human male, but was wearing armour of some description, including a helmet that obscured most of its face. It was weird, like an obscure Charizard's face, but blue. Bright red fur, perhaps a mane, flared out from underneath it. It carried a weapon, a spear-like thing.

"I wonder what type it is..." She pondered, peering around the corner of the building.

"Trio~"

"Sssh!" She hushed her pokemon, taking a pokeball from her bag. "I want it! Lets use the element of surprise!"

Without much hesitation, Rachel jumped out from her hiding place, yelled "Pokeball, go!" and threw the pokeball with great enthusiasm.

It bounced off its armour, rolling back towards her. Shiiiit! What level is that thing?

Things I now remember that we discussed but forgot about when helping make this topic:
- Posts are meant to be short and sweet. I struggle with this, as you can see, but hey, at least it's not one of my monster posts~
- Fuck, I forget...
- Um, um, um...
- It's a good idea to colour code your characters! Aha! (I have a good memory)
- There is no obligation to post either once you've started. These are meant to be little snapshot stories, not massive arcs.
- Having said that, there is no reason why you can't link one character from a micro and use it in a new micro, using stuff you've developed in the first.

Oooh, I'm jumping in with Artemis the feral Umbreon! She's one of the wisest Pokemon on the island, who migrated from Johto by sneaking aboard ships!

It all started with the small Pokemon. The common ones that no one would notice. Then the Pidgey. When a trained Scyther that I used to fight with over food vanished, that's when I knew something was wrong.

It couldn't have been a trainer. He had already belonged to one. But the missing Scyther, whom I had named Reaper, was no further than a few meters from his home the last time anyone saw him.

My search outside the mess of human buildings came to a halt when I heard a commotion. A human...and...what the hell was that thing? I kept myself hidden, and kept the folded up leaflet with the picture of Reaper clenched in my mouth.

Let's see where this leads.

For s small piece of background, etc: Temzi is a Guado, one of the races from FFX, and he wears full body armour and carries the traditional spear of a Dragoon.

Clang! A somewhat muffled impact startled Temzi out of his contemplation of the situation, and he looked around sharply, just in time to see a red-and-white ball rolling away from him. It came to a stop at the feet of a small girl, shadowed by a trio of odd brown fiends.

Temzi looked at the fiends, his head tilted to one side in curiosity. "I think you dropped your, er, ball?" He pointed at the thing by her feet, and she bent down to pick up the thing sheepishly.

"You can talk?" She sounded hesitant, as if she had not expected a Guado to speak. Temzi did not know whether to be insulted or amused.
