Ok..I suck at Arena's so let's go with...

A GIANT TUB OF ICE CREAM! Yes, we're in a giant tub of ice cream! Its creamy and delicious and all sorts of sugary awesome in here! All attacks work as normal, and if you are in a pinch, you can eat some of the ice cream for a +5 boost to your health. Eat too much Ice Cream too fast though (3 scoops+) and endure an ice headache that'll paralyze you for one action!

ROUND ONE

Some people would have cold feet before a battle, but in this case, it's completely understandable. Standing on the surface of a vast plain of creamy, yummy but freezing cold ice-cream is a whole new experience. Could this be the fabled 'Mineral Dessert'? Two trainers, wrapped up in thermals and heavy coats release their pokemon onto the Vanilla arena. A massive Onix sinks a little into the surface, whilst a tiny Skorupi stands with easy as it exerts little pressure. Commands and counter-commands are issued, and battle begins.

Suture, the smaller, lighter and therefore faster of the two pokemon begins by clicking his pincers together and spinning around on the spot at high speed. The intensity and friction against the ice cream loosens it a little, causing the pokemon to sink in just a tiny bit more. Onix on the other hands focuses in on himself, and flattens out the surface of his body, giving it a slight shine that lets him move over the surface of the dessert with a little less friction than before. When Suture comes out his s[in, he's pumped for action, feeling the blood flowing into his muscles with greater ease than before.

Both pokemon now move to attack. Onix glides over the ice-cream with ease, lowering his head as he does so. The top of his skull glows and takes on a metallic hue, as he shoots forward like a torpedo, aiming directly for Suture. The little poison type dips his tail in the softened ice-cream and gets ready to attack. His under-estimation of Onix' speed means he he is hit sooner than he thought. The tiny bug is catapulted into the air, where he just manages to slap his dessert covered tail onto the passing Onix' rear end. Onix grunts, but slides around and comes to a slippery stop. He looks down at his tail, where a big sloppy mess is slowly sinking into his body.

Suture smirks whilst Onix grumbles and bemoans the use of ice-cream instead of attacking properly. Suture clicks his pincers happily, then begins to spin around again and again, pumping even more adrenaline through his body, getting himself completely ready for the upcoming battle. Onix takes the chance to clean up his body a little more. His already smoothed skin, flattens out again, and takes on a proper shine, leaving Onix looking more like a Steelix now, and the yellow vanilla of the ice-cream reflecting in his body. All of a sudden the ice-cream shudders and a small wave flows across it, changing the plain yellow vanilla to a fruity Raspberry Ripple. Yum.

ROUND TWO

Onix rears his head and opens his mouth wide. Several blurs of white energy shoot out, solidifying into jagged shards of stone mid flight before peppering the soft, delicious ice-cream around Suture. The bug tries to shield itself, but the stone cuts across his body leaving him sore all over. Frowning at his foes considerable speed, Suture dips his tail in the arena, and catapults a glob of raspberry ripple into Onix's face. The snake grumbles and licks most of the ice cream off, but can't quiet reach the bits of fruit in his eye.

Onix blinks several times, but the raspberry and the ripple are blurring together a little too neatly. Oh well, there's a small purple bubble nearby that's about the same size and shape as Suture. He opens his mouth again, and a fury of energy turning to rock rains over the lump of fruit. Oh rats. But some of it does manage to hit the Skorupi, who was trying to sneak under the partially blinded snake. Skipping around the rest of the stones as they sink into the dessert, Suture gets just beneath Onix' belly then swings his little tail into the hulking beast. just before impact, a film of steel energy sweeps across the tail, making the blow strike with a resounding clang. Onix roars in pain and almost doubles over as the blow vibrates through his entire body.

Suture scuttles back out and away form the Onix, and starts to punch the air, moving his feet back and forth quickly, doing little jumps and skips to really get the blood pumping. The air around him seems to get thinner, or maybe it just feels that way thanks to his agility getting a boost. Onix watches and grins. He lets out a powerful roar and swings his tail back and forth. Everything that Suture had, he can feel it coursing through his body now too. As the two pokemon stare at each other, both practically evened out in ability, the ripple of rasberry sinks beneath the surface of the arena, and little shunks of brown chocolate float to the surface. The pink ice-cream fades into a lovely green and the smell of peppermint fills the air.

Mike, I should have mentioned this before, but 'Solid Rock' isn't an ability. I assume you mean 'Rock Head' which prevents recoil damage. I'm reffing with this assumption as such.

ROUND THREE

Onix slides over the yummy delicious side-tracking mint ice cream with ease, and comes up alongside Suture quicker than the bug type can react. He's dipping his tail into the green mud-like surface already, but it's just not quite quick enough to beat Onix, who with a swipe of the tail as counter balance, slams his entire body into the tiny pokemon, knocking it up high into the air, and sending it crashing down. The splash down acts as a means to attack for Suture, and it bats a glob of dark chocolate at his enormous foe, hitting him square in the eyes. Chocolate plus raspberry isn't the best combination and Onix roars annoyed.

Fuming from the chocolatey goodness that is just out his reach, Onix rages across the ice-cream in a full on assault. He's a little off target though, which gives Suture a chance for retaliation. A sudden burst of brilliant flashing light is all Onix sees, before he blacks out. The rock snake comes to, head pounding and eyes full of flashing blobs, having skidded to a halt, piling up amongst the chocolate chips. His foe, though blurry and looking like a dancing blueberry, appears to be in good spirits. Which, when you're a dancing blueberry is to be expected. Where did the bug go?

Onix looks around aimlessly. What was he doing? Oh look the blueberry has come to say hello.. hey ow! Suture seems oblivious to Onix' state of mind as he dips his tail in the ice cream and lays some smack down with a sugary tail slap. Onix seems to gain a moment of brief clarity, and starts banging his tail against the surface of the ice cream. It's not quite an earthquake in the sense that the ice cream starts to churn, sending lumps of the harder still frozen stuff up to the surface to batter Suture. Blueberry go bouncy. He he. The mint and choc chip bubble under taking the lumps of hard ice with them, and in their replacement comes a cool yellow hint and the calming scent of lemons.

ROUND FOUR

Suture hiccoughs, then coughs properly and spits out several sticky barbs that end up scattered over the ice-cream. Onix attempts to dodge the toxic barbs, waving between them as he approaches the little bug, but in his inebriated state he slides over numerous barbs, each one digging in a little and infecting him with poison. The sudden sharp pain that comes with it snaps Onix out of his confusion. Angered, he wraps his tail around the little pokemon and squeezes tight. Suture squeaks somewhat as he's crushed by the force. He tries to wriggle free but just can't get any manoeuvrability.

Wrapped and trapped by the rock type, the little bug can hardly move, certainly not enough to attack. His tail wobbles about as Onix lifts him off the ground and away from the soft, semi-liquid ice-cream. Suture grumbles, but then starts to wriggle and try to escape as he sees what's happening. A gaping hole starts to form in the arena, as Onix roars with such vigour it's literally parting the ice-cream in two. In what can only be termed as a biblical event, a hug void is formed in the dessert, which Onix prompty tosses Suture into. The throw misses the centre of the pit, but it's close enough that Suture still gets buried by the lemon sorbet as it suddenly piles back in.

The ice cream settles and Onix smiles. He digs his tail into the ground and roars again, sending a wave of seismic energy through the ice cream. Hard lumps of frozen cream resurface again, and with them comes Suture, battered, bruised and completely shaken by the terrifying ordeal. The little bug stares up to the sky, but before he can summon anything, the last of his strength gives way and he collapses. Onix takes a long and heavy breath. He is so very tired, and approaching total wipe out. His increased speed is for naught now, as he goes into the final stages of exhaustion.

Hey DL, you can choose the number we use, and RL, and you explain the negative energy thing to me please?

OK..
When a pokemon hits 0% energy, instead of fainting straight off it goes into Negative energy. It will loose energy for two things.
- The normal usage for a move (like it would do a anyway)
- Half the amount of damage taken (so it takes 6 damage and looses 3 energy)

For every 5 that is accumulated in negative energy, it looses 5HP, and when it reaches 25% Negative energy it will faint. It also looses any speed boosts and automatically attacks second (unless the enemy uses a 2nd priority move).

ROUND FIVE

Darkest Light sends out SHINING DEATH, who's name from this point on will be lowered to a slightly less brutal lower caps, an Earth piranha coloured Carvanha. The little shark dives into the ice cream and starts to swim about in the gooey liquid, with the same ease as if it were in water. For fairness sake, obviously. Exhausted beyond belief, Onix lets out a defiant roar and begins to glow. Orange first, then from his core it darkens to red, before billowing into white. An explosion rips out from within Onix, sending waves of energy, heat and force pouring out of the rock snake. Shining Death throws up a protective shield, which absorbs the first shockwave. It vibrates beneath the second, shudders beneath the third, fractures beneath the fourth, and finally breaks apart on the fifth, hitting Shining with a final shockwave, tossing him out of the ice cream and over the edge of the tub, where he is graciously lifted back up by the Ref's Drifblim.

Onix collapses, all his energy spent. Sh.Death plops back into the ice-cream.

I don't know what heppened last round, but my tables were all over the place when I was writing this. Also I messed up Shining Death's Energy levels, they both read 100% at the end of the round, but they should have said 90, as indicated by the green bar.

ROUND SIX

Mike drops a little Poliwag into the arena, who starts to jump around in the ice-cream excitedly. The joy quickly fades when he spots a fin circling nearby. The little tadpole begins to focus inwards, charging his body up with stored energy. At least, that's what the plan was. Try as he might, there's just nothing to charge with, and Poliwag stops before he strains something. Meanwhile, Shining Death has pumped adrenaline into his veins and is moving through the ice-cream with a swiftness last seen by a lumbering rock snake in the previous rounds.

Darting around like a fish on speed, Shining Death zigzags towards Poliwag, who can only just keep up with the random movements. The swirly bellied pokemon lowered his head and gets ready to charge, only for his foe to have sped up and chomped down on his tail. Leaping into the air in shock, Poliwag lands awkwardly and can barely manage a sideways swipe come skull bash against his foe who grunts as he is is pushed aside a little. To make matters worse, Poliwag is left with a sore patch on his head, where rough skin has rubbed against his own delicate body.

Shining Death circles his foe, like he would any prey. He's hoping this next attack will be powerful enough to deal some real damage, but any assurances he'd been given turn out to be false, as his tail slaps the Poliwag in the face, his foe doesn't seem as angered by it as he would have expected. Poiliwag narrows his eyes, dips his tooth marked tail into the chocolate ice cream and launches a glob of it at Death. The ice cream ball hits the fish on the back, raining lumps of chocolate into the strawberry making a right mess of things, but the Carvanha manages to avoid any of it landing in his eyes.

As if by magic, or a well placed sponsorship deal, the ice cream ripples and changes into a rich orange/brown, and the smell of freshly brewed coffee fills the air. Numerous little bits of coffee bean float to the surface.
