The Flame in Charmander's Tail

When the flame of a Charmander's tail blows out it will die?

Does it mean Die, DIE!

or Faint? or something else.

This could go in GD, methinks.

Anyway, the flame on Charmander's tail is indicative of its life energy. If Charmander dies, the flame goes out. It's not the other way around. The anime just fucked up and made it seem like that; note that in the games, the Pokedex entry for Charmander says pretty much universally that the flame represents its life force. Fire Red is the only game that implies that Charmander dies if the flame goes out.
