Perseus, start off with Light Screen. Then use Psychic to throw the shadow ball right back at him. Finish with Stone Edge!

The stone dias is host to another battle in this tournament. Dogfish sends out Polterguist, while Perseus steps out for Greyfox. The other Pokemon on each team stay back, as this is a one on one to determine the better of the pair.

Perseus jumps back as Polter flings a blast of of chilling air at him. He raises his blades as the Air Slash hits, and quickly erects a barrier to deal with any more surprise speedy attacks like that.

Polter began to whirl those fan blades, and instead of firing more wind, opted for a Shadowball. The energy curled together from its wispy beginning and headed to hit that shield. Perseus smirked from the lessened strike and retaliated with a Psychic force that flung the hefty blast backwards. Rotom was shocked as the attack smashed into his body.

Pol floats back up as Perseus takes the initiative and strikes with a nasty attack. he jumps and grabs the ghost, before ramming it into the dais. Perseus then uses the edge of his bladed shoulder to grind Polter into the dais. Polter groaned, but spun those blades. Air whizzes in to Rotom, and then streaks of beaming energy strike Perseus from behind.

Cause I'm never allowed to type in peace in my house. So when I went to check Rotom's fan type I got distracted and thereby switches calcs. Tonight though, all reffings will be much better, no damn noise!

Also, can I have a ruling on Pain Split as a move? It's regularly seen as a non-healing move in banlists, but I want confirmation.

Perseus and Polter both seem anxious to end this match as swiftly as possible. You'd never be able to tell that from Polter's demeanor though, as it flutters with the power of wind behind it! Perseus charges forth, as Polter creates a barrier of his very own, to deal with the shvering Ice Punch that's delivered to his center.

Polterguist is pleased that the hits have weakened considerably. Perseus though, is not and goes to shatter that pane of energy. His elblade slashes right through and tags Polter, which is exactly what it wanted. The wily fan was able to spin its blades over the extended weaponry, and cause a few flints to fly up and burn the tip of his swordbow.

Damnit! Perseus now kept his left blade extended, 'cause that was irritating, hot blade sending pain to his arm constantly. But with a heated blade one one arm, he swapped to his good, right arm to punch at Pol again. Pol waited til the hit connected before blowing a huge amount of ectoplasmic goo at Perseus. Ick-Toxic too!

Brn (3) + Toxic (3) = Unhappy blade wielder.

OK then, Shock Wave on double Team, and Sucker Punch if it's gonna use psychic.

Otherwise, Shadow Ball, Thunder, Shadow Ball.

Wait until after he spits out shadow ball, then use Psychic again to redirect it. Then throw out your own Shadow Ball. Finally, repeat Psychic against his shadow ball, but only when you see the ball coming to you.

Polter hissed, but he tried this again. He flung another Shadowball at the Gallade, who was coughing heavily. The ball had lost a good portion of its giirth before Perseus was able to stop it this time, and fling it back at its maker. This gave Polter a reprieve from the usually painful strike. (-3)

Perseus hissed at Polter, who seemed to be having a great time here. The bladed Pokemon keeps the pressure high, by firing its own Shadowball at the fan. Polter fires a Thunder overhead, as the Shadowball struck him in the face. Polter spins around and lands on the ground, quite hurt. (-3)

Per: -8E/-6H ~~ Pol: -10E/-20H

Perseus looked back to Polter, who floated back up to strike this imbalanced blade wielder. The Shadowball that came speeding to strike Perseus shatters the Light Screen, but is stopped inches from Perseus' chest. Perseus uses enough force to toss it back at Polter, making that ghost take another step back. But the poison and the Burn was making life hard (-3)

Now or never. On this dias, Perseus switched tactics on this ghost. He opened his hands and flung them at Polter, creating a sphere from the downward motion. As the Shadowball cycled toward Polter, words came with it. Of how Maytag was a better appliance company to copy, rather than that second hand fan.

But, instead of outright being pissy, Polter whirled its fan blades angrily. The wind displaced by the ghost was strong enough to stop the Shadowball, and cycled it back to Perseus, with added effect. Perseus fell backwards, dazed and confused. That was not in the cards!(-4)

The bevy of ghost attacks did not halt there! Perseus tried to get up, but two Shadowballs smashed into the fighter! Perseus rolled on his stomach, and curled up to deal with the stinging shocks (-8)

The blade on Perseus's arm was really bothering him. As he lied there still cringing from the pain, he turned to look as Polter floated over. Polter's fan blades were whirring, and Perseus knew what that meant. The Ominous Wind blew right for him, but at the last second, he vanished!

Polter oscillated left and right, but Perseus was nowhere in sight. However the Shadowball to the back allowed him to figure out what just happened. (-5)
