Whoa... You're pretty confident.... Choosing your attacks before you've even seen what I'm gonna send. I think you underestimate how useful information can be. While I'm not going to do this, I have a rather large collection of ghosts. Something of a favourite type for me, at least on ASB. Sending one of them would have ruined you. ASB sounds like it's a pit of power vs power, but it's mind against mind, and you need to take whatever information you can get, and use it against your opponent.

So, to make sure the lesson sticks... Go, Nightstalker, my Sableye. Ability: Stall.

Here we go! Suspended over lava no less, we begin a new inductee's journey into ASB. Rodan and his Makuhita welcome any and all challengers, and Chaos has accepted. Out comes Nightstalker, ready to lay down the hurt.

Maku rushes in to try and slap some sense into Nightstalker, but the hits sweep right past the ghost. Night laughs and goads the fighter, telling him he's all flab and no form. Ouch.

Maku: -4E Tnt 4 act~~ Ni: -3E

Pissed off royally now, Maku goes to show Nightstalker what for. He tries to throw the phantom, but his hands just completely can't get a grip. Night smirks and slashes at Maku with flame tipped claws-adding insult to injury.

Maku: Brn ~~ Ni: -3E

The burn is on Maku's little pudgy gut, and that doesn't stop him from swinging repeatedly at the ghost. Night loves how this is turning out and plots up something evil.

As we continue this battle over the lava, Nightstalker darts over to cripple Maku. The little fighter manages to withstand the Body slam, and...well now feels aggravated since its Taunted!

Seeing this thing still had mobility, Night tries for another Body Slam. Make looks around for anything to flick in Night's eyes, but they're in a steel cage above lava. Not much for flicking her. The subsequent hit knocks Maku back and leaves him with a fun gift of paralysis.

Maku: Par -8H ~~ Ni: -6E

Maku keels over, quite pained by the experience now. He's humbled, and then undergoes a headahce as a Psychic blast throws him across the cage and into the right side. He tries to go over and hit the ghost, but again, fists of fury fly fleeting through the phatnom

He did it right :O. Swap takes only one action, post two moves :/. New reffing style, I culled the two action thing because I felt it slowed the progression of the battle too much.

Bp takes two turns since the Pokemon is swapping out and then you gotta kick out a new one. U-Turn..uhh same deal, one action :O.

While he's switching in, make a Substitute. Medium-sized. Then, hide behind it and make some more Nasty Plot. Finish off with a Power Gem.

Rodan realizes this is not working out so well, and starts to enact a new plan. In the interim, Night takes the time to build a Substitute and drop it in the middle of the cage. Hiding behind it, he turns to spy the Illumise that's now rearing to attack.

Night starts plotting carefully, as Illumise tries to throw some Charm the ghosts way. But it just falls harmlessly on the sub.

Ill: -2E ~~ Ni: -3E +2 SpA

Night now decides its time to start the barrage. Illumise fires off a Beam from its hands, and the Sub takes the hit well enough. Watching half the Sub deteriorate, Night calls upon shards of cooled lava and those pieces fly up through the gaps in the cage, striking Illumise.

Nightstalker smirks as a Signal Beam goes flying wide, annihilating its Substitute. Illumise cheers, glad to see that rock demolished, but that doesn't help its situation. More stones fly up and continue upward for a moment, as Night controls their path

Ill: -5E/-20H ~~ Ni: -7E Sub: Boom

Night then lets the powerful shards of rock fall right back down on Illumise, harming the bug even more. But with no more barrier between him and the Illumise, Nightstalker is finally struck by that blast of bug energy. Ouch

Ill: -5E/-20H ~~ Ni: -7E/-8H

Illumise grunted, and now raised a barrier to catch anything thrown at him. So...Nightstalker just chilled, wasting Ill's time and energy.

This fight was a bit one sided, as Illumise was learning. Nightstalker got the first strike this round, as more shards flew up and struck the bug all around teh cage. But in response, Illumise touched the cage, and sent a Shock Wave through it. The electrical attack ran right to Nightstalker, and left him pretty singed.

Ill: -5E/-20H ~~ Ni: -7E/-6H

Illumise grunts, and tries to Protect against anything coming his way, but Night just took a moment to recover from that critical attack.

Ill: -6E ~~ Ni: -.0

Illumise ran off with another attack, this time flapping its wings in a manner that seemed to disrupt the timing of Nightstalker's attack. Night falls backwards, but tries another Power Gem. This one hits Ill, and knocks him down.

In a twist of fate, Nightstalker is sucked right back to Chaos' side. He nods and releases a new Pokemon. It ticks its head and looks at Make, before giving off a shrill "Tic", as Maku forced stones to slam up onto Toku. The lava flow kinda helped this time.

Mak: -8E ~~ Tok: -16H

Maku grunts, knowing he can beat this bird. He raises one hand to defend himself as Toku flies in. The connection of head to Maku's gut was expected, but the flinch behind it wasn't! Maku grunts, and doubles over, leaving Toku to gloat for the moment.


Mak: *Fln* -8H ~~ Tok: -5E

Maku stayed down, hurting from paralysis now. Toku commanded another Headbutt, leaving Maku hurting pretty bad.

Hey... I just realized Rock Smash has a 50% chance of lowering defense by 1 point... Tokuchi does it at an awesome 100% thanks to Serene Grace.

Start with a Headbutt. Then, for all remaining moves, if he's not paralyzed, Body Slam him. If he is paralyzed, Rock Smash.

Maku glares, knowing that strange flapping bird had some sort of assistance in harming him this far along. But before he could focus on resting, the avian flew into him-heads colliding with jarring force. Maku flipped back, hitting the wall of the cage, and reeled from its heated nature. He flopped on the rated base of the cage and tried to rest, to end the suffering.

Mak: -25E/-8H/+40H Slp ~~ Tok: -5E

Damn. It fell asleep. Toku warbles softly, before flying upon the chubby fighter and re initiating the battle. A Body Slam would set things straight! His forceful demeanor meant nothing to the sleeping fighter, who just raised a hand swiftly and punched him away.

Mak: -4E/-10H ~~ Tok: -7E/-5H

That Rest helped cure the ailments plaguing Maku and he rolled over, seemingly quite refreshed. Toku warbled again, and repeated his action from last time. The strike bounced Toku from Maku and in a strange event, retransferred the paralysis.

Maku groggily wakes up, to a incoming avian with love on its mind. Maku barely gets up a defense, before he finds his face adorned with kisses. Confused to high heaven as to what is going on, he stumbled back, just happy to make space between him and the bird.

Tokuchi grins, and now tries to blind the poor fighter. But now she runs into a problem that Maku had earlier. Suspended above lava mean no real stuff to throw that's mud-like. This leaves the confused Pokemon with a moment of clarity.

And repeat, except that Maku is playing bongoes with his stomach.
