    Default Silver Wont start

    After about 5 years I decided to try playing pokemon silver on my GBA.
    However after the 'Game Boy Color' text turns up and I hear a shiny 'cling' noise the screen turns white.
    The GBA works fine when trying to run Pokemon Red and Blue.
    What could be the problem?

    If it's not working at all, it probably isn't the battery. Probably just a dirty connector.

    ^Maybe that. Try soaking a Q-tip in alcohol and jamming it in the cartridge to clean it a bit.
