ROUND 1
It's the second round of the tournament and it's between Moderator Melo and Underdog Dub. Who's got what it takes to advance to the final round? We'll find out here! Melo summons his pokémon first, a powerful-looking rogue empoleon named Katara. Dub is next, choosing his own steel pokémon, Ferrum. The two pokémon glare at one another, sizing eachother up, before deciding their tactics.

Katara begins the first round by summoning a doppelganger into the field using her own health as a bartering chip [ -15HP, -5PP Katara / +15HP Substitute ]. Ferrum hadn't even bothered to note this as he was too busy dropping a few pounds to realize it [ +20% Spd, -5PP Ferrum ].

Katara notes the steelix having lost a few bits of his tail, and yawns peacefully. Ferrum, too, yawns, becoming more and more tired as a result [ +25% Tir Ferrum / -2PP Katara ]. He fights against it before attempting to woo Katara's clone with his charm [ -2PP Ferrum ]. It doesn't work.

Figuring that she's playing hard-to-get, Ferrum continues to flirt with an inanimate object [ -2PP Ferrum ] while Katara begins sharpening her bladed wings to a fine point [ +20% Atk, -5PP Katara ].

Waterfall. Bulldoze. Waterfall.

As soon as it falls asleep, switch the current move for another Sworsdance. Then Aqua Ring (then swordsdance again should he fall asleep before first action).

Use to Roar to see if you can wake yourself up a bit, if that works, use Earthquake twice. If not, use Sleep Talk twice.

ROUND 2
Ferrum, feeling ridiculously tired, roars a loud roar to keep himself awake [ -2PP Ferrum ]. Katara, though slightly intimidated, chuckles to herself when the roar doesn't keep him any more awake. She hobbles over to the steel serpant, crouching down before giving him a watery uppercut [ -14HP Ferrum / -4PP Katara ].

And when she hits the ground, she charges at him furiously -- the earth beneath her feet trembling as she does so [ -11HP Ferrum / -5PP, +10% Spd Katara ]. Ferrum, still struggling to stay awake, holds his tail up high before slamming it on the ground below, sending a violent tremor back to Katara -- destroying her clone in one shockwave [ -15HP Substitute / -6PP Ferrum ].

Katara, slightly annoyed that this snake is resisting slumber, uppercuts him again [ -14HP Ferrum / -4PP Katara ] before he stamps his tail on the ground once more -- this one actually hurts [ -15HP Katara / -6PP Ferrum ]. He ultimately gives in to slumber, however...

ROUND 3
While her foe slumbers without any motion to attack, Katara strengthens her sword by rubbing her bladed wings against one another for power [ +20% Atk, -5PP Katara ]. Ferrum, meanwhile, curls up in an iron ball to increase his defenses [ +10% Def ].

Katara then begins dancing around the snoozing snake, shedding feathers around him that manage to lessen his attack power [ -20% Atk Ferrum / -5PP Katara ]. As she continues to dance around, she gets a surprise wang to the head by Ferrum's own head [ -5HP Katara ].

Katara, slightly dizzy, pulls herself back together before striking the steelix with another water uppercut [ -15HP Ferrum / -4PP Katara ]. The water awakens Ferrum, leaving him without orders [ +10PP Ferrum ].

Waterfall again, then trap it in a Whirlpool! Finish with another Waterfall.

ROUND 4
Eager to end this battle, Katara goes for another uppercut -- but she only manages to strike a protective barrier [ -4PP Katara / -7PP Ferrum ].

Annoyed, Katara instead decides to trap her foe in a whirlpool. She circles around the snake, summoning a blast of water to bite at him harshly [ -5HP Ferrum / -2PP Katara ]. Ferrum responds by burrowing underground [ -2PP Ferrum ], abandoning the whirlpool.

Katara lies in wait for a few moments before being struck from underneath [ -10HP Katara / -2PP Ferrum ]. An anger lights up, and Katara follows up with another powerful uppercut [ -15HP Ferrum / -4PP Katara ].

Katara dives to the ground, using water to propel her forward quickly as Ferrum slams his tail on the ground. Another earthquake ravages the field, throwing Katara up in the air [ -13HP Katara / -6PP Ferrum ]! She manages to correct herself as she lands right in front of him, uppercutting the savage rock snake with a one-two uppercut [ -15HP + -11HP Ferrum / -20PP Katara ] that knocks him out!

With Ferrum out, MeLoVeGhOsTs moves on to the final round to face Greyfox!
