No fear stems from Godzilla as he stomps toward the small candle. The heat drives his every step, and Kia watches from his throne like perch with an sense of eager anticipation. The candle shivers in fear, and uses its flame to create a halo around itself. This halo is stronger than anticipated as the tilting land that washes over Litwick is knocked to the sides, saving him.

Charizard bellows in rage and cranes his neck down on the candle. The barrier falls just then, and Litwick is subjected to a nasty Crunch from the dragon. Shaking him until near oblivion, Godzilla throws the candle away. Litwick lands on its side, and flares up a bit.

The Substitute crumbles from the flare up, further disappointing Litwick.

L: -7E/-23H ~~ G: Sub: -6E Boom

The candle feels pretty battered, as Godzilla comes from above and rakes at its waxy body. The pain is excruciating, but there is a break for Litwick. Kia's fireballs slam and smash all over Godzilla's back and open wings, throwing him off of Litwick. The candle barely makes a move, but it makes sure that its a good one-a swath of Fire to hit the ...fire...type.

A second Flamethrower is shot in the air, at Kia. Kia stares down at this insolent dragon...no not quite a dragon, just a facsimile. (-5)

Litwick was in trouble. That dragon was not gonna be on his side if he didn't do something devastating. So, he pulled into his inner energies, ready to smash that fire breathing fatty with some serious...fire...attack.

Well, right after the ground stops shaking and making his life miserable. Litwick's flame vanishes for a moment, but reappears, flickering weakly. Godzilla walks over, and snorts, seeing there's no more fight left in the candle.

Wrong! A fierce blast of heat rages out from Litwick, as it hops up, eyes glowering. Godzilla stumbles from the hit to the back and glares at this candle. Impressive.

L: -11E/-25H -2 SpA ~~ G: -5E/-11H

Needing something to even out this match, Litwick tries for a nasty ethereal link. The mass that was Godzilla was unmoved by this weak version of a hand in need, and smacks it away with a Protective barrier. Kia sneers, glad to see the harshness.

Out of options, Litwick thinks of what else it can do to defeat the dragon. It's really a moot point however, as Godzilla walks over and scoops him up in his jaws. In one more blinding bite, its over.

With that, this Gym Match is leaning more and more in Mew's favor..

I realized something Mew. Did you mean you wanted to have a minimum of three wins in order to claim victory? 'Cause if not the match would be over, and that would be kinda lame :/ Not to mention it wouldn't be much of a Gym match...

Okay here's the plan.

This match has been extended to a 4v4 battle, as such we are only halfway done. When a Pokemon sucessfully wins a Set (by knocking out the opposing Pokemon) and the arena changes the Winner gets 2 points and the Loser of that set gets 1 point. Whoever has the most points at the end of the 4v4 wins the Battle. In the case of a tie, a tie-breaker round will commence and the winner of that Tie Breaker is the winner.

The Dragon's Song plays, a warping melody that also has the nasty side affect of arena shifting. When the melody ends, we find ourselves on a temple sacrificial platform on an Aztec structure. Blood of past sacrifices stain the ground. Curled around the structure and watching the fight is Quetzalcoatl himself. A lengthy feathered winged serpent watches over the battle. While the Aztec were a group who offered human sacrifices to their gods, this god did not require them, and was appalled by them. As a god of light and creation, Quetzalcoatl allows those who battle on the temple access to the moves Morning Sun and Moonlight. Invoking the dragon's offer puts a heavy tax on the Pokemon, and the moves can only be used twice in the battle. His presence always brings a sight of bright shining light.

The light burns bright, as Zu stares down the Misdreavus. He seems unaware of the dragon's deception at this point, as he plots the destruction of Zu. Zu stands perfectly still behind his Substitute so as to not draw suspicion until the time is right.

Missy springs forth an attack! Demonstrating his Shadow skills, he blasts the immobile beast with a pretty powerful attack. The Sub falls over, and Zu streaks forth, zipping under Missy. Missy looks down to receive a splattering of grime and poison in its face. (-2)

Mi: -6E Txc~~ Zu: -3E Sub: Boom

Decieved! Misdreavus grumbles at the thought, but turns his attention to the dragon that is now on the move on this bright spire. A gliding lunge, and Zu releases a terrific Fire Blast that sends Missy fleeing. The ghost is overtaken by the blaze and falls in a wailing heap. (-1)

Zu is pleased by his handiwork, but Missy isn't done yet. He may be down, but his mind concocts a way to strike even from this position. Zu cranes his neck, feeling a change in the wind. Its suddenly chilly, and he hisses, glaring at the phantom that's still showing signs of life.

That's unacceptable.

You'd think being poisoned would bother the phantom, but no. Missy shoots right for Zu, who takes a step back at the forwardness of this ghost. A orb of phantasmal energy is formed, and Zu roars, releasing a thin stream of fire to greet it. While the fires curve and coil around Missy, the Shadowball carves its own path through the flames, and explodes with a chatoic force. Zu is launched skyward, but banks and lowers to a safe point on the platform.

Missy pants, knowing this fight had to end fast for any chance at success (-2)

Mi: -6E/-5H ~~ Zu: -3E/-14H

Zu gets the jump this time, biting on the ghost and shaking it left and right. Missy takes the pain, and moves to his happy place, a place amongst a dead field, scalded trees his only company. When the trance is over, he's better for it..(-2)

With all her prowess, the next attack gives Zu something to think about. As the dragon readies its hand to cleave this phantom in half, a chilling wind blew. It may as well have been a damn blizzard. Missy went down,yeah (-2), but Zu roared and fled from the gusts' origin.

Missy looked back from her spot on the platform. Zu running away, that was a positive sight

Hey DL, doesnt' Incinerate instantly cause a Burn on the victim since we don't play with Held Items/Berries? I presumed that's what the description of it implied.

O.o Where did you read "burn" anywhere in the attack list? :/ It just acts like if someone puts fire under your hand when yer asleep and you pull back immediately. Yer not burned, but you wont use that hand cause its singed for a bit. But you tried to do that with a entity with no appendages :/

Zu knows when to call it a day, and he does so right now. Atop this platform, he tries to dig his way to safety. This must be a really big platform to be able to have a digging Pokemon in it. Anyway, an Icy Wind flies across the area, but a barrier forms around the dragon as it cuts the sound and dives into it for safety. (-3)

Missy hacks, but he's no fool. No target equals no blasting. Meanwhile, Zu scrapes along, to get better positioning, sharpening his claws all the way. And since nothing'll happen on the last action, then la to that goes up here too. (-6)

Zu senses nothing above it, and quietly moves under the ground. It seems to be gearing itself for battle within the massive platform. On top, the ghost just floats there, ready for anything...but since nothing come sup, there's nothing to Protect against.(-4)

Zu continues its methodical rhythmic loop within the platform, and the phantom looks at the ground calmly. In fact, as he calms himself, he also begins to plot up nice ways to disable this dragon once it resurfaces..(-8)

Fearing that the sickness would overtake him soon, Misdreavus decided to take a quick refreshing nap. Doing just that, the toxins that were present around and in its body began to be purged, and health restored at a fantastical rate. Zu, sensing something amiss, shoots up in a blaze of fury, although Missy seemed to levitate out of the way of the initial strike.

Zu recovers though and crunches down on the phantom. As he lands with Missy in his jaws, Claws grip each side of Misdreavus, and try to tear the sprit apart. That's gonna leave a mark.

Mi: -25E/+40H/-52H ~~ Zu: -13E

Dropping the ghost, Zu spies that somehow(prolly cause Dig was ineffective, stupid trainer...) the phantom lived. Not only that, the phantom was attacking. Zu backed away as a myriad of rocks began pelting its hide!

As the Power Gem settled down, a new set of mumbles came over Misdreavus, and it fired off a blast of light. The beam went striaght up, and Zu followed its path, until it came careening straight for Zu. The beast closed his eyes, but by then it was too late. Confused he would turn to be.

In this brilliant sun, Zu bellows out his intent, before diving at the sleeping ghost. The phantom seems unmoved, and actually Snores through the threat of having its ethereal form almost ripped asunder. Zu's hot step does put it a little slower than it needs to be, and Zu falls over! This match isn't over yet!
