Is Swoobat really useful? Really?

I just beat the E4 again. Realized I could level grind with them finally up until lvl 77 or so. No Idea how I'ma get them to 100 in a reasonable amount of time. Found those bastard sages too..finally got my Hone Claws. Now its on to complete the Pokedex! Meaning i need a 3ds..

Seriously, why does everything evolve at such damned high levels-.-
