    ===Stipulations===

    1. The battles will be a 3-on-3 battle, 1 Pokemon at a time.
    2. The referee will decide on first turn attack order.
    3. The DQ time will be the standard. One week, no more and no less.
    4. No moves are banned. But I won't start busting out the annoying ones like Rest and Toxic until you do first. If my opponent and/or ref wish to ban anything, I'll consider it depending on the request.
    5. Abilities are in effect.

    Badwater is a large, arid quarry shaped somewhat like a spiral when viewed from above. Its most prominent feature is a wooden wagon with a nuke loaded onto it, mounted on a train track. Said track begins at the base of a cliff and spans outward through a tunnel past a warehouse, under a catwalk, past several wooden shacks and houses, and finally down a cement slope surrounded on three sides by a fortress of wood, stone, and steel. At the bottom of that cement slope is the rail's end, suspended above a crater filled with explosives.

    This cratered area is where the battle will take place. It is a good 40 feet wide and long at the least. The crater is covered with a glassy material that no attack can break. The explosives within cannot be Dug or Teleported into, Psychically manipulated, or otherwise interfered with.

    The basin is currently under attack, which means that all nine Team Fortress 2 classes are out and about en masse. The RED team will be passing the battlefield now and then, more focused on the BLU team pushing a cart of explosive fiery death towards their base than on you. If they pass by, don't pester them, or they will attack:

    ===Battlers===

    ===Round 8===

    With each person a Pokemon down, the stall match can stop. RED members are screaming something fierce, and I'm starting to see more than a few BLU guys running around. That can't be good. But they're making a stand, them red fellers.

    Unconcerned with that fighting, Francis and Tokuchi square off (Rock Attack!! -6H). The avian torpedoes itself into Francis stomach, knocking him square on his ass. No change in his condition yet, but that hit had some punch. Francis lied there, holding his gut, plotting just what he was going to do with this bird once he got up.

    Fr: -3E/-9H +2 SpA ~~ To: -5E

    Francis pushed himself up with the use of his coiled tail and ran after the bird with a hand full of sparklers. The sparkler ball grew, before firing at the incoming avain with a resounding force, one that offset the flight path of the avian.

    But Tokuchi doubled back and reasserted his point, he was top dawg here. Francis fell on his face, and lied there-encumbered by paralysis.

    Fr: -4E/-9H Par ~~ To: -5E/-16H

    Great! Tokuchi chirped his approval and then rained down a bevy of air slashes on Francis. Their harshness caused Francis to flinch, despite his best efforts at focusing through it. That also left him feeling like he could fly.

    Toss him all around. Headbutt him so he loses his flying and falls back down. Then knock him back in the air with Air Slash, then make him fall down again with a Headbutt. If he stops being paralyzed, Body Slam him until he's paralyzed again.

    Headbutt ~ Air Slash ~ Headbutt

    Actually, since this is ANIME-style battling, Body Slam's paralysis is little more than how it's always depicted: That is, your Togekiss pinning my Kecleon. Which has already happened.

    Also, what happened with Stealth Rock? Just curious.

    Either way, Francis, show him what REAL Paralysis is with a Thunder Wave. Then when he tries to attack you with Headbutt or Body Slam, catch him with your tongue and Fling him into a wall or the ground with his own momentum.

    If he uses Air Slash or is too Paralyzed to attack you, hit him with a Blizzard.

    Wow, I forgot about SR. Added in previous reffing, and here we go.

    ===Round 9===

    The fight's picking up now, as the RED team members are reinforcing some more members back here. Francis shakes off the apparent haxxorness of Tokuchi, even after being headbutted, and therefore swapping him back to neutral. Movement was possible, and the Thunder Wave found its mark!

    Fr: -2E/-7H Nrm~~ To: -4E Par

    Francis smirked at the now crippled Tokuchi and watched as she frivolously...flew toward him! Jeez! The tongue of that Kecleon whipped out, but Tokuchi managed to connect with another Body Slam. Pinned under the foe, the Togekiss thought he had a chance! But a flippant tongue sent her flying into a wall.

    Fr: -4E/-9H ~~ To: -5E/-8H

    So far, the match is pretty even, and both Pokemon are down for the count.

    Keep him pressed under you (and therefore paralyzed), from that last Body Slam that he seems to have forgotten about... Shoot him with Water Pulse until he's confused, then hit him with Secret Power. If he happens to get affected by both statuses in the first 2 moves, hit him with a Headbutt.

    You know, DL. You were right. Togekiss is fun .

    ===Round 10===

    This fight is getting hairy. The sun is starting to fade into the east, and Blade and Chaos continue their feud. Tokuchi keeps squirming on the Kecleon, but both are roughly the same size, so it looks like they're trying to make an egg. Francis isn't being the catcher here, and lets Tokuchi realize this as water rains all over his face. He shoots a reciprocate blast of chill that freezes that water and throw it back on Tokuchi.

    Tokuchi flies backwards, freezing. That Ice Beam was pretty hefty!

    Fr: -7E/-6H Wat~~ To: -5E/-20H

    Tokuchi tries again, hoping its hex factor rises up with the second blast of a Water attack. Francis blasts through it and fires off a second bolt of energy, as the water merely bounces off his back. This electric current wrangles its way back to the flier and cripples the bird. Tokuchi falls-stunned from its current strikes.

    But Francis ticks around, obviously confused.

    Fr: -7E/-3H Cfn ~~ To: -5E/-16H

    Francis is confused, leaving Tokuchi to try and even this match out. A strong stream of dust is thrown up as a white blast strikes the Kecleon, reverting him back to neutral green. In this enviornment of ground however, it lathered him in a nice bath of paralysis.

    ===Round 11===

    Francis and Tokuchi seem to be trained to take down whatever comes their way. In this match, you'd wouldn't be able to tell. That's because Toku divebombed right in front of a RED battalion, (who luckily just sidestepped it) and Francis kept using his tongue to attack a wall.

    Fr: @_2 ~~ To: Par

    Francis got the early jump on Tokuchi here, as the bird fluttered back up to a stable height. Literally. Francis jumped on Toku's back and began tongue lashing it. Toku was utterly disgusting, and barrel rolled to drop the chameleon off! Creepy!

    Fr: -3E ~~ To: -5H O.o!

    Snapping out of his confusion finally did nothing for Francis. Mainly because Tokuchi and his supreme hax was at it again. An Air Slash left Francis feeling mighty angry that he couldn't attack, not because of confusion or flinching, but because of paralysis.

    This was getting hairy. There are rogue missile and BLU folks running about! Francis hopped up and fired an Ice Beam as the seemingly omnipresent Tokuchi slammed into the beam! He spiraled down into the ground, dazed from the beam. Hopping up, Tokuchi blasts forth and slams into Francis' chest.

    Fr: -7E/-7H ~~ To: -4E/-20H

    Both Pokemon seemed at odds with each other, but Tokuchi had an edge this time. Francis was not ready for the orb of blue energy that slammed into his side, and flung him across the arena. Francis weakly raised up a hand, trying to orient himself. But he stayed down for the moment.

    Fr: -16H Par Fgt~~ To: -7E

    Well, it's more that we've gone through 12 rounds for 2 pokemon, so 6 rounds for each. There are 8 rounds, and a tolerance of +/- 2 rounds isn't out of the question.

    I'll go with Nightstalker, my male Sableye. Ability: Prankster.

    Oh, he recalled his Togekiss? Cool.

    If memory serves, recalling a Pokemon and then sending a new one out takes an action, so... Go ahead and use Taunt to give yourself an edge before he can respond. Then fuck up his moves by using Fake Tears and Toxic so he tries to use his subs and fails.

    If he attacks instead of using his sub moves, swap out Fake Tears. Instead, let him charge at you with Brick Break, and blow him away at the last second with a nice tasty Fire Blast.

    3. The DQ time will be the standard. One week, no more and no less.
    4. No moves are banned. But I won't start busting out the annoying ones like Rest and Toxic until you do first. If my opponent and/or ref wish to ban anything, I'll consider it depending on the request.

    ===Battlers===

    ===Round 13===

    Blade swiftly releases his next Pokemon, and Tokuchi flutters there weakly. As a large purple beast takes center stage, chaos opts to swap out as well. Blastboxer is perplexed, whom was to be her opponent.

    The small greebly ghost that emerged from the laser gave a smile that seemed to lighten up the desperation in the air. The smile erased itself when the Exploud called him a flurry of names. That's mean. Just mean, you jackwagon.

    BB: -3E ~~ Ni: Tnt 3 act.

    Pissed off, the little ghost didn't even care about making a Substitute, he wanted to punch the living crap out of the living loudspeaker. Timy feet shuffled him closer and he raised his fists to lay the beatdown, only to be engulfed by a visible symbol of flames thrice his height! He was blasted backwards, but that made his rage stronger, Eyes glinted from the heat, and he dashed at Blastboxer. She was taken down with a flurry of punches, all aimed at her jaw.

    Fr: -10E/-12H ~~ Ni: -6E/-12H

    Still pissed, Night taps into a strange force, that pumps his muscles up as Exploud flexes her own. Using what seems to be her own strength against, he beats on her exhale tubes, forcing her to cough and spit up a slew of spit that lands on him and blots his vision fora bit. Throwing him off of her, Blastboxer regains her footing. There!

    BB: -3E/-11H ~~ Ni: -8E Txc

    The poison starts (3) to Night's dismay.

    I hate Ghosts.

    Fake Tears, Water Pulse, Ice Beam.

    If he uses any non-damaging moves, Taunt him again. And make sure he can't drown it out - you're an Exploud for God's sake. Put those pipes to work.

    For some reason, I thought Togekiss died in the explosion. In any case...

    Does Substitute stop Taunt? If yes, Brick Break ~ Substitute ~ Hone Claws. If no, Brick break ~ Taunt ~ Hone Claws. If taunt prevents you from using any of those moves(even though prankster means you shouldn't), Brick Break instead.

    Ah. So, so buffs/debuffs and thunderwave/confuse ray/etc...? I assume, for example, that Rock Tomb/Whirlpool/etc... don't count as giving the "trapped" status and therefore count as a status inflicting move?

    In any case, if I'm allowed to change that:
    If taunt counts as a status afflicting move, Brick Break ~ Taunt ~ Hone Claws. Otherwise, if confuse ray counts, Brick Break ~ Confuse Ray ~ Brick Break.
    Failing that, if swagger counts, Brick Break ~ Swagger ~ Brick Break.
    Finally, if none of the above work, Brick Break ~ Hone Claws ~ Brick Break.

    Oh no you don't. There's been plenty of times in the past when I wasn't warned of moves and Abilities working differently than I thought they did before a reffing fucked me over, including a few times as recently as the All-Comers' Challenge.

    You fucked up, you pay the price, you stick with your first set of moves. I'm not going to sit here like a bitch and take herpaderp super-effective+sub spam because this place runs on double-standards and general inconsistency.

    I wasn't expecting it to happen, I just saw DL say that without anything else and got my hopes up. It's cool.

    While I'm here though, which (if any) of the following is affected by Prankster: Taunt, Torment, Confuse Ray, Swagger, Reflect/Light Screen. (Nightstalker can't use all those, but I figured I'd be comprehensive).

    Hrm.

    Prankster in the games is a whoreish whorish Ability that affects the speed priority of all non immediate damage moves by 1. (This includes moves like Counter :/) That would be immediately whorish if that was in ASB and would lead to borkedom like old Stall.

    So; Prankster affects the following in ASB: All moves that affect/afflict a stat. So any move that affects HP/Atk/Def/SpA/SpD/Spd, Accuracy or Evasion can and will be affected by Prankster. This also applies to all moves that can solely give your character Brn/Par/Psn/Slp/Cfn/Atr

    To now answer your question. The only moves you listed there that would get a benefit from Prankster are Confuse Ray, Swagger, Reflect and Light Screen.

    Night doesn't stop that series of hits, because well...they work! Prankster doesn't kick in, and Sableye is slower than Loudred. I had previously assumed otherwise on the first bit, so moving on. Also, your definition above indicates that damaging moves (which affect HP) should be affected. I suggest fixing that. Furthermore, you probably need to include "non-damaging" in the description if you don't want to include Snarl, Overheat, Close Combat, etc...

    So, keep the brick break's coming. Brick Break x3. Sub: If you can't use brick break, swap for low sweep. If that doesn't work either, Dark Pulse. (He doesn't learn amnesia, best i can tell, but meh)

    I just got schooled. Not by you, but by this damn game mechanic making Taunt a non sound move (I was under the notion Taunt was sound based -.-...)

    Secondly, Exploud's Taunt would have overpowered yours via volume, so the Brick breaks stand.

    Third: Yes Non Damaging healing moves are what I meant in regards to HP. La.

    It can be. Hence why I demanded for it to be sound-based. Sound is Exploud's strength.

    Which brings me to a question: Would Exploud's Normal-type sound moves affect a Ghost? I know Ghosts resist Normal moves, but Sableye isn't deaf... In fact, it has some pretty damn big ears... Surely they can be injured somehow.

    If we get into that, then Zubat shouldn't be affected by Flash (how can a bright light affect something that sees by echolocation), fliers shouldn't be affected by Surf (they fly over it), etc... Too many things don't work if you stop and look at them too long.

    The ghost quit logic in the best sense, and ran for the living subwoofer, as Exploud raised his arms to the sky and began to pump out godawful amounts of smoke. (-3). Nightstalker ran through the thick of it, and landed his combo 1-2, but was now left in a sea of murkiness. It's pretty dangerous here now, with all the people running to and fro..

    Night calms his jets for a moment, but sees a hint of red dash by. He doesn't swing, but all this secrecy is pissing him off. So when he catches a glimpse of color to his left side, he goes all out and beats down...a RED member! (-3)

    Blast in the meantime, lets loose a sound wave that reaches a conical range in front of him, somewhere near Nightstalker. The little phantom is confused and now really irritated since that RED member turned around and Crabhammered him!

    BB: -3E ~~ Ni: -6E/-11H Cfn

    Night doesn't know left from right anymore. As such, he walks blindly, and ends up at a wall. The smoke is still pretty thick, but all that's about to change. In what may be foreshadowing, Blastboxer stands directly over the crater, and pumps itself up, before expunging a series of flames. These Flames ripple outward, igniting the Smokescreen. This Overheated wave cycles through the immediate area and ignites Nightstalker! (-3)

    The ghost bounce off the wall in an attempt to climb it and flee, but only manages to run around in circles.

    It's crunch time.

    Our decreased attack power and his decreased defense even out, so don't worry about that. Use Shadow Ball, Fire Blast, Shadow Ball.

    If he tries to Rest or use any status moves or piss-off Ghost moves like Destiny Bond, Perish Song, etc., neutralize them with an Exploud-loud Roar. If Foul Play or any Fighting attacks come at you, sidestep the move and grab that little bastard, and Fling him as hard as you can.

    How are you using roar to neutralize things? I don't quite get the mental image. Considering that prankster would kick in for status moves (which you have included as the things that should be neutralizable), the move would have started before the roar would happen. What am I missing?
