Hodges rests on his haunches, looking at the state of the town. It still seems ok, aside from cracked pavement here and there, and dirt strewn all about. All that was about to change, as Terrabite jumped onto the scene. (Rock attack!! -2) Hodges knew this could end badly if its cards were played wrong.

Terra though was a mean customer, and she showed it with a few introductory stomps. They shivered Mauville, pissing off all the Pokemon in the resident Gym. Hodges tried to evade them but found his hopping to be ineffective. As the quake consumed him pretty bad, he found the strength to overhand throw a bowling ball sized pocket of pure fighting energy right for Terra, and make it connect!

Terra sailed back into the side of a building.

Terra pushed off of the building with his feet and half glided toward the saucy fighter, maw drooling with anticipation. He opened his mouth a little wider, and Hodges went for it, a ground smashing display. However, the ground he punched angrily retaliated, with a blast of energy that threw the frog backwards, and layed him out.

(Rock attack!! -2) Ow. Delko jumped out right into a rock and fell flat on his butt. Snickering at that grand entrance, Terra bite took the offsetting strike to whimsically wave its arms in the air. An orbital series of bolts came raining down...but did nothing to Delko.

Delko recovered, but felt well, shocked nothing else came his way.

Well that sucked. Terra flung itself forward and threw all its body weight onto Delko, whom took the hit surprisingly well. Too well actually, as teh Marshtomp planted his feet in the cracked pavement, and shoved back with a series of hard hitting punches. Terra was punched like a ragdoll for a few moments, before spiralling to a stop outside another house.

Roughed up, Terra shook away the fears of being struck by anything potent, and lunged at the ground. As it started to shake, the residents of Mauville all peered out their windows. Who kept cutting into their electric power!

Delko however, didn't mind the shifting so much, and blasted Terra with a close range Ice beam. Terra coiled up on the spot, instantly shivering.

Terrabite knew the risks coming into this match, and she was going to play them out as best she could. So when Delko summoned a chilly wind to try and inhibit her even more, she made sure to prance around like Prince! Delko wasn't sure, but Mauville was in for an event,

A child some feet away points up, and they are witness to a massive meteor come searing down from space. Delko notes the shadow, and freaks as he's slammed into by this space rock! The hell was THAT!

T: -11E/-12H -2SpA, -Spd ~~ D: -3E/-15H

Terra roars in approval, even as its body is chilled. Delko however, needs tome to climb out of that impact crater, in the center of town I might add. Terrabite takes the time to swipe her tail to and fro and enchant rocks to hover all around.

Delko finally gets out of the crater and blasts that crazy dragon with some water. Calm! DOWN!

Terra kept swiping her tail around, rocks flying all about and Delko wonders why no attacking. Oh well. She must know its futile. An Ice Beam stabs Terra right in the chest, and down she goes. Terra grunts as she falls. It's not over yet!

Terra wasted no time in making teh best of her final moments. Shew lunged on Delko and slashes at his midsection, right as a Blizzard moved into town.

It moved right onto and past Terrabite, before petering out, leaving a frozen dragon in its wake.

Delko stares on with bated breath as his next opponent forms. Cripes. Grasser. Backing up, Delko lets the [Rock Attack!: -2] do its thing before shooting off an ice beam to cripple the grass type. Supershroom goes rolling from the Ice Beam and spends his first few moments in this battle trying to warm up from that ice burn.

Stablilized, the Shroomish runs over and manages to unleash a large enough Poisonpowder to ensnare them both. While Delko cough, Shrooomish smiles. His stock was pretty tasty (+/-1)

Delko spat to the side, getting the dust out of his nose. Wiping his face, he refocused and began to litter the field across from him with more stones, as was done to their side earlier. Shroom notes his activity and capitalizes on the lack of movement by unleashing a flurry of seeds in the air.

They land in a random fashion,blasting Delko and forcing him to stop his Rock mine mission. (+/-1)

Delko knew he could get one more move off, and didn't waste it. Utilizing the hidden abilities it had, out flew 5 orbs, headed for Shroomish. The Shroomish countered with a seconde Seed Bomb strike that flew over the Hidden power orbs.

Delko's attack hits first, blowing up Shroomish with a very painful, bright green burst of power. Meanwhile the seeds did Delko in.(+/-1)

Wolfy grimaces, staring at all the rocks on the field. She reluctantly released Phoenix, who immediately was ravaged! [Rock Attack!: -18] Falling to the ground, Phoenix stared at the field. What the hell WAS that? Well not to worry now, as there was a new threat. That plant was getting awfully close. Not knowing if it had something to do with it, Phoenix rose to her feet and backpedaled, all the while flapping her wings.

It worked enough, as the Poisonpowder was blown back by the speed of the fleeing avian. (+1)

Supershroom grunted, obviosuly put off by the evasive capabilities of that bird. No matter. He'd whip her down! Dancing around, he was able to feel his muscles bulge, but soon he was within a field of feathers, as Phoenix zipped around him. (+1)

The avian stares at Supershroom, whom walks over and tries something new. He tries to tap into his own poisonous nature and expands its ill effects onto Phoenix. The mental abberation hurts the bird, but she's more than close enough to flap her wings asymmetrically. This causes a severe course of wind to blow in and catch Shroom. The gusts becomes gale forces and soon Shroom is blown clear across town, toward the Daycare! (+1)

The bird soars around, as Supershroom lines up its shot. However, there is a whistling sound, and then a hefty blast of air connects with the plant. He bounces backwards, stunned from the blow! The heck did that even come from! (+1) No matter. He tries to spew a bunch of gunk at the flying bird, but being a flying Pokemon has its advantages. Namely being able to be out of reach of heavy masses of Toxic waste.

Phoenix keeps the aerial assault going, now flapping its wings awkwardly. This forces Mauville to be overrun by a massive Whirlwind. Shroom is caught up in its matrix and is blown about. (+1) After a few minutes of dizzying control, Phoenix ceases to continue the Whirlwinds existence, and lets Shroom fall to a hard landing. Shroom spins to the ground, landing on his feet after all of that!

Phoenix eyes the plant...something wasn't right about that.

Keeping the speed game up, Phoenix flaps her wings again, and a second blast of air ripples to and through him. Shroom takes this last hit and flips back up, frustrated. He aims and fires a Spore set that don't hit the bird due to the general windiness of the area. (+1)

That bird was going DOWN! Shroom blows another chunk of Spore into the sky. (+1) However, Phoenix was ready for the deluge, causing an audible racket so boisterous -the spores could not take her down. She stared at the grasser with a confident smirk. Shroom...was pretty pissed now. That loud bird was just annoying now

Sweeping down was not part of the battle, as Shroom found out. A wind blows and tosses the plant around, but the gust was strong enough to throw Shroom up and an uppercut was delivered by the flying plant. Backing up with a few flaps, Phoenix grunted. (+1)

Supershroom landed, and looked up at Phoenix. That was all he was gonna do, as Phoenix rocketed high into the sky. LAAAAME! (+1)

Finally, something went right. With Phoenix high up in the air, Shroom just waited patiently. His body pumped up when he heard the high pitched whistle of something descending with a good clip of speed behind it.(+1) Pheonix was coming in fast, and Shroom timed his Spore release perfectly, even though the hit was more than what he was ready for.

Phoenix slammed into the Shroomish and blasted back into the sky, but only for a short time. After the initial burst of speed wore off, she fell back to the ground, out like hot chicks at a bar.

Shroom took some time getting up, he wasn't expecting Phoenix to move THAT damned fast! (+1) But it was ok now, the buildup could begin. As his body healed from its own toxins, he shared some of those with the sleeping avian. Phoenix didn't flinch as the spores sunk into her primary coat (-1)

While he was there, he also latched a bunch of fun seeds around her. These thin yet powerful leechers began to suck the life out of Phoenix(-1), (+1),(+/-3)

Shroom jumped for joy. The bird was down! No more painful air attacks. He trotted over to her limp form and quickly made a ball of Spores to lightly dust her wings with. Well, he should have moved faster, because Phoenix sprang up and gave him a hefty smack across his face. In retaliation, he made sure to lather her with paralytic spores.(-1), (+1),(+/-1)

Well, that's not cool still! She was attacking while asleep! Shroom bounced back in order to try a second attack, but Phoenix was all over him still. Damn that fast bird!(+1)! But she crumpled over, encumbered for a moment. Shroom did not waste the opportunity, assaulting her with a grassy napalm strike (-1)(+/-1)

With Phoenix prone on the ground, Shroom goes for a more insidious move. He found the rhythm of her bloodflow and seemed to rel;ease a wave of energy that increased the potency of it for a moment, giving her a nasty shock. But the kicker was Phoenix's reaction. She didn't wake up, but rather she Mirrored the Move right back onto Shroom. He hollered from the pain of having a super effective move bring him down! (-1), (+1),(+/-1)

Shroomish down, Dogfish realizes he's running out of room to make any more silly mistakes. He quickly calls out a heart nose shaped bat [Rock Attack!! -12H], who seems more than eager to spread joy and cheer around the area. He goes and flies past a few windows and leave heart shaped nose prints on their glass. Weird.

Phoenix sleeps all this time, even as Woobat goes on its mirror kissing spree, but apparently, this calmed it down. (-1),(+/-1) Phoenix stays put. Paralysis and all that.

Well, all this poison and Leeching can't be doing her any good, and Phoenix finally stirs. She awakens to a bat sniffing her, and disapproving. How rude! But the Charge beam that followed gave her a shock, and she rolled backwards. Testing her wings, she found herself capable of trying to attain lift. A few strong flaps and she was airborne, with the assistance of a strange wind that blew across the field and stunned Woobat.(-1)(+/-1)

Woobat flapped toward the still wobbly bird, and launched a pretty powerful Psychic blast. It knocked Phoenix back to the ground. She looked up from her crumpled state, and cawed harshly. Standing up proved to be difficult, as the Paralysis was showing no mercy to her.(-1), (+/-1)
