Haxorus knows when to cut and run. His back feet start to accelerate his descent into the ground here, but the penguin is a swift bastard. Using an Ice Beam and its small mass, Mateus freezes the ground in front of it to reduce his tobogganing friction. The Ice Beam luge slides right over Haxorus, allowing the speedy bird to strike Hax as he skins into the ground.(-1)

HAX: -3E/-16H ~~ Mat: -11E +2 Spd

Even with that boosted strike, the dragon manages to vanish from sight. The hail bothers Mateus, and with no other recourse, he blocks anything that might rise through the ground. But nothing occurs. At least nothing outward.

Underground, Haxorus bellows and lashes left and right, hyping its body up.(-1)

Hax takes advantage of his underground act, and starts an Earthquake that gives Mateus a nasty case of whiplash. The land throws the penguin about, breaking up his ice luge. (-1)

The hail falls for one last hoo rah as Piplup look around. Mateus knows his foe is somewhere, and the heightened sense of awareness that comes when the ground starts trembling was more than enough for the bird to make a beeline east. (-1)

The quake erupted, throwing Mateus down, but since he moved, he was not near its focal point.

Glad the weather changed for the better, Mateus sat quietly as Hax burrowed silently, hiding under Mateus once more.

This time, its Hax that has the tactical advantage. He forces another Earthquake, and Mateus is unable to predict which way its coming from. The quake throws it about, and Mateus winds up using its Agility to keep it from slamming into the ground too hard.

HAX: -8E ~~ Mat: -3E/-18H +2Spd

Hax is finding it hard to breathe now...being underground for this long has its disadvantages.

Mateus, hop into the air, aim down, and fire a hydro pump directly below you. Propel yourself into air to avoid that earthquake. While you’re up there, find where he is; look for the epicenter of the earthquake, from what DL described, it should be pretty easy to find the dragon. Then quickly use rock tomb on that spot, force that coward onto the field, it should faint him, but even so, ice beam his ass anyways.

If he doesn’t appear on the surface or faint, endure when you land to make sure you survive to the next round.

Fearing fro his well being, Mateus does what he told and jumps in the air A massive force of water exits his mouth and he uses it as a pillar to hold him high above the ground. Unknown to this, Hax forces another Earthquake, which shift and buckles. When it ends, Mateus quits his blasting and lands, on the spot where the cracks all seem to spread from.

HAX: -2E ~~ Mat: -9E

Hax realizes that being underground is not too good for breathing, and promptly faints ...buried...somewhere. Mateus' care level=0! He just won a match...Like A BOSS!
