With Swampert gone, you're able to eventually catch your breath. You and Bellossom swim down to the bottom of the cistern and untie the ropes that have bound the Water Maiden to the bottom. She appears weak and sore after having been tied up for so long, so you and Bellossom each grab a fin and help the Kingdra up to the surface. You've lost track of time and you hope your Pokemon are still there.

Fortunately, they are. Pachirisu, Sketcher and Ralts peer at you with relief as you climb up out of the manhole. Ahh, sweet land! Sweet oxygen!

"I don't know what happened," the Water Maiden confesses. "It happened so quickly. Honestly, it was as if my mind itself simply stopped working through sheer willpower and then I woke up at the bottom of the tank. I don't know anybody besides the Intelligence Maiden who could command that kind of power, but she'd never do such a thing! Honestly, I haven't an idea where my other sisters could be. Wherever they're keeping the Strength Maiden is going to have to be very well protected indeed, because simple ropes wouldn't be able to keep her tied down. There are dungeons deep in the castle, even deeper than the cistern, where we used to keep prisoners of war during times of strife. That was long ago and the dungeons have been unused since, but whoever is keeping the sisters hostage might be keeping the Strength Maiden there. Go and find her while I return to the Judgment Shrine. I must keep guard over it."

Suddenly, she peers over at Ralts, noticing her for the first time.

He looks delighted, even going so far as to wrap you up in a big hug. Of course, Mismagiuses have no arms so it's not really much of a hug, but he does his best.

"Oh, Buttercup, that was delightful!" he squeals. "Yes, absolutely wonderful! I haven't had that much fun since I was alive, I daresay! You're quite enjoyable indeed. For successfully guessing me, I will absolutely lead you to where the Strength Maiden is being held captive. Come now. You mustn't tarry."

Humming to himself, Mismagius leads you deeper into the dungeons. The path is long and winding and you're relieved to have a guide. Eventually, when you're certain you must be miles beneath the earth, Mismagius turns to you and makes you whisper. He then leads you to a sudden turn in the hallway.

You, Mismagius and your Pokemon peer around the corner. There, in a cell, you see a Rampardos wearing a headdress. She's slumped in the corner peering at the ground hopelessly.

"Those bars must be made of reinforced titanium," Mismagius explains in a whisper. "They're the only thing that could ever keep the Strength Maiden locked up. Positively indestructible."

Standing twenty feet away from the cell's door is a Mamoswine surrounded by a dark aura. Its eyes are closed, however, and it appears to be napping.

"The key to the cell is tied around one of his tusks," Mismagius says, nodding to the hint of silver tied around his neck. "One of us needs to grab the key and use it to free the Strength Maiden. Sound like a plan, Buttercup? My, this is terribly exciting stuff, no?"

You can't see where Pachirisu has gone, but you wait with bated breath as Mamoswine's chest continues to heave and fall. Suddenly, you see the key and its chain slide up the tusk as if by magic. The key appears to bounce down to the ground and scurry back toward you. You hear Pachirisu whisper a tiny, gleeful cheer.

"Now we just need to unlock the cell without alerting the Mamoswine," Mismagius says. "We must be sure not to wake it. It looks impossibly strong and I daresay none of your Pokemon seem especially well-equipped to battle it."
