So I picked up Nintendogs.. yeah I am a pussy but hey I need a pet around the apartment.

Hey everyone, I have a question on the Wireless Communications features.

So I have both the old Nintendo DS (not Lite) and the 3DS which I bought when it came out. Also, I have this game named Chocobo Tales where you are supposed to play against other people Pop-Up Duels if you have:

"Nintendo DS/Nintendo DS Lite Systems Between 2 and 4
Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales Game Card Between 2 and 4"

And then the manual says:

"1. For each Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite system, check that the power is turned OFF, and then insert the Game Card.
2. Turn each DS or DS Lite system's power ON. The DS Menu screen will be displayed.
3. Touch the FINAL FANTASY FABLES: CHOCOBO TALES panel.
4. Follow the instructions on page 31."

What do you think? If I get a second Chocobo Tales, will I be able to play the Pop-Up Card Duels against a friend via Wireless Communications between DS and 3DS?

Yeah, multiplayer works fine with old games. I've played the multiplayer minigames in NSMB against my brother not too long ago. I was using my 3DS, he was using his DSi. Granted, it was single-card, but mutli-card should work fine too.

Picked up mine today. Havent set it up. Dumbfounded that its smaller and lighter than my DSlite.

I retract my previous statement. Its the same size as a DSlite. Definitely lighter though.

Well, it's certainly been a roller coaster ride this past month. May came with no word on the eShop release date, causing people to start wondering if it's been delayed, but Nintendo still said "late May". Just yesterday, things got interesting when we found out stores were starting to carry 3DS points cards, which meant the eShop could launch as early as this Monday/Tuesday (Nintendo usually releases their online offerings on Monday U.S. time, which is Tuesday in Japan). Now, it looks like the original fears have been confirmed: 3DS eShop Launch Delayed Until June.

At least it's early June. The fact that it's on the eve of E3 is kinda interesting, could just be a coincidence since June 6/7 happens to be a Monday/Tuesday, but it does seem like they wanted it out in time for E3. Imagine during Nintendo's conference, after they show the Mario 3DS trailer, Reggie comes out and says "and if you want to watch that trailer in 3D, you can download it to your Nintendo 3DS... right now!"

Still though, no eShop and browser until next month. I guess until then, with Rayman beaten and no Zelda until even later, my 3DS will at least make a nice paperweight. *sigh*

Anyone had much fun with the handheld's little extras so far? The concept of StreetPass seems so cool to me, and I almost want to go out and get one for that reason alone. Ha.

Had my first street pass!!

...About forty minutes ago... at 10pm... From within my own bedroom... I'm sufficiently creeped out. Who's lurking about?!

I've noticed I got a street pass or two from around the apartment. Although nothing beats the 30 or so I got at Tekkoshocon in just two days.

Did my first 3DS stereotyping today. Saw a dude at the train station with a Twilight Princess shirt and hovered around him in the hopes of a StreetPass...

EDIT: Oh, and for the record, I picked it right. Successful StreetPass!

I still have yet to StreetPass.

Downloaded the update. The browser isn't that bad. Way faster than on the DSi. I wouldn't use it around the house since I have my laptop, but it'd definitely be handy if you're somewhere with WiFi and want to hop online.

The eShop is cool, lightyears ahead of the DSi shop, that's for sure. Kind of a bummer that the screenshots aren't in 3D though, I was hoping to see OOT in 3D.

I'm visiting my mother and forgot my laptop power supply home so I'm forced to use 3DS browser right now. I'm starting to like typing with the stylys, but I'm having some trouble with reading ASB as the reffings contain centered text!
