    CYNDER'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Shinsuke Volcano
This Volcanic Island - previously hidden away can now be seen from the shore. A massive pool of magma lies deep in its center, but one can walk down quite a ways and find a variety of Fire Types enjoying the heated tunnels. Some hardier Flying Pokemon line the edges of the Volcano as well. A tall Pagoda stands on the Island as well, the only man-made structure here.

    ‡ Round 56 ‡

Aikoku spreads his wings and takes off! The flight is a long one, but it allows you and your Pokemon to score some much-needed relaxation. The flat, rolling landscape is eventually no more and is replaced by an expansive ocean. The air is salty and, soon enough, a volcanic island quickly comes into view. Aikoku touches down on its sandy shores and you dismount, evaluating your surroundings. Your footing is loose upon all this igneous rock and hot ash flutters down from the heavens, speckling the sparse vegetation with white.

Here by the water's edge, you can see some Tentacools and Remoraids bobbing up and down on the surf. A Geodude and a few Torchics strut across the rocky beach and, way off in the distance, you can just barely make out the speck-like shape of a Magby.

    How do you proceed?

    > Approach the Tentacools
    > Approach the Remoraids
    > Approach Geodude
    > Approach the Torchics
    > Start walking down the beach toward Magby
    > Start walking up the beach away from Magby
    > Head inland

    AYEUN'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Ivy Woods
A dense forest where a thick fog lingers. There are Grass and Bug types everywhere you turn. Look up and you'll find Flying types are enjoying the highest reaches of the trees.

    ‡ Round 204 ‡

The logger is unable to hear your reply. Once again, baby Oddish won't settle for anything less than your undivided attention. She begins screaming as loud as she possibly can and begins flailing around in your arms. Pachirisu, ignored, starts sobbing, too.

The head logger takes one step toward you with his shovel poised to do harm, but suddenly becomes distracted by something at the forest's edge. As the machines slowly crawl forward toward the treeline, the Vileplume you saw earlier leaps out in their path and throws her arms wide protectively. Some other Pokemon, including a Paras, a Toxicroak, a Pidgeotto, a Bidoof, an Ambipom, a Masquerain and a Hoothoot scurry out from the undergrowth and join her. The head logger growls.

"Keep going!" he shouts. "Knock 'em all dead!"

The lone bulldozer crawls forward. Its cab is open, you realize, and you have barely five seconds to leap in and pull the brake to save the forest Pokemon. If you don't, all of them will certainly die. However, at this moment, Oddish breaks free from your grip, causing you to let the remaining egg slip and fall. She begins running away from the forest toward the open plain. A circling Staraptor up above sees her as prey and begins swooping downward. She's about to strike, but there's just enough time for you to save Oddish. Barely.

A nearby worker Farfetch'd sees the fallen egg and, struck by a motherly impulse, picks it up with her wings and starts scurrying away with it. It begins moving in her grip. All the while, Pachirisu's sobs begin to elevate with volume and a desire to be loved. One of the Bisharps, irritated by all the screaming, approaches her swiftly with its blade poised to harm. You have almost no time to react.

Suddenly, a voice sounds in your head. It repeats the words spoken by Celebi earlier.

Your virtue will come down to an issue of sacrifice.

With only enough time to save one, you must choose.

    How do you proceed?

    > Save the forest Pokemon
    > Save Oddish
    > Save Pachirisu
    > Save the egg
    > Flee

You try to knock down the approaching Bisharp, but his bearings are stronger than that. As you sprint toward the Bulldozer, he raises a sharp limb toward Pachirisu and brings it swinging down. She perishes. Meanwhile, the Staraptor eyeing Oddish swoops down and snatches her up in his mighty talons before soaring off with her. Finally, the Farfetch'd takes flight with the remaining egg and leaves with it.

They're gone. Dead. All of them.

You manage to shove the bulldozer operator out of his seat and, in his shock, he doesn't put up a fight. The machine crawls ever closer to the Pokemon. You see a series of buttons and levers and aren't sure how to operate the break.

Ignore all of the above, and grab the big round thing and turn it to the right 180 degrees... Steering it away from the forest.

You rightly decide stuck-up Treeckos simply are not worth your time. You blow her off and continue deeper into the woods, soon coming across another clearing replete with a massive bounty of Pokemon. You see Bulbasaurs, Chikoritas, a Sunkern, a pair of Budews, a Natu, a familiar Vulpix, Murkrows and a Seedot. There's even a Hoothoot slumbering up in a tree.

I'll take a look inside the bag, and if I see one of the artefacts I need I'll ask to buy it from him. It's got to sound indifferent though, so that he doesn't ask for too much in return.

    AYEUN'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Ivy Woods
A dense forest where a thick fog lingers. There are Grass and Bug types everywhere you turn. Look up and you'll find Flying types are enjoying the highest reaches of the trees.

    ‡ Round 207 ‡

With a mighty tug, you pull the black lever. The brakes activate and the machine slows to a complete halt. Looking behind you, you watch as Vileplume, spurred by your lead, rallies the other forest Pokemon into an all-out assault against the humans. With minimal effort, they successfully drive the loggers away.

Suddenly, all goes white. You peer downward and see Pachirisu, Sketcher and Bellossom all at your feet. They wrap your legs up in strong hugs.

Celebi's voice sounds again in your head.

You valued the welfare of Pokemon you do not know over the lives of three Pokemon, your three Pokemon, with whom you share bonds thought to be unbreakable.

    Justify your decision.

    How do you proceed?

You approach the gaggle of Bulbasaurs who peer at you calmly. One of them waddles up and licks Bruiser in the face. Finally, there seems to be at least one friendly Pokemon in this friggin' forest!

    THANK GOD!

Bruiser ask them if they know where we could find a small yellow spider, and hurry before Treecko finds us. Again.

    ‡ Round 59 ‡

You casually ask to look within Houndour's bag of goods. Trying to be as inconspicuous as possible, he opens the bag a crack and gives you a fleeting look. You see piles upon piles of Vulpix Tails. Instead of jumping for joy, you maintain your poker face.

    How do you proceed?

They are my pokemon, yes, But these other pokemon matter just as much as they do. When they were unable to act on their own, they all became my responsibility. I trusted in my pokemon to be able to do the right thing.

And besides. It wasn't right. This forest doesn't belong to anyone person. It belongs to the pokemon who live in it.

Your words echo out into silence before Celebi's voice responds.

A noble choice, then, even though it forced you to sacrifice your Pokemon's welfare.

Would you say that, despite this decision, you still value the safety and well-being of your Pokemon?
