....I see you've made the right decision.

Lets make this a 2 vs 2 double battle, only banned moves are those that provide recovery only (Rest recover, etc. NO WAY; Giga Drain, Leech Life, etc. OKAY). We send both our pokemon to the ref, who then flips a metaphorical; or should they be rich enough, an actual; coin to decide who attacks first. The DQ is 4 days.

The arena is a roadside construction site. The ground is broken up, and there are several large holes dug out. In the bottom of one is a broken water pipe and the hole is filled half full of muddy water. In the bottom of another is a gas main line. The others are just pits which have mounds of earth next to them. There are also numerous pieces of equipment lying around including a cement mixer, a pneumatic drill, a steamroller, a JCB Digger and a skip full of hot bitumen tar. There are traffic cones surrounding the entire site, and moving beyond them is considered BAD FORM. There is also a portaloo on site. You must be wearing your hi-vis vest at all times.

Wow… talk about drawing the short stick…

Haizhe start with a confuse ray on Puft, then faint attack on the same target, and finish with heat wave on Montoya.

Venat use shockwave on Montoya, then fire punch on him as well, then energy ball on Puft.

If Puft uses double team, then use twister to wipe away the clones Haizhe. Venat if Montoya uses double team, use shock wave.

Puft, make a small Substitute then hit Venat with a Shadow Punch, and finish by knocking Haizhe out of the sky with a Rock Slide.

Montoya, start off with a Snarl to leave your opponents discomforted, then blast Haizhe with a Thunder Wave and smack Venat with an X-Scissor

The battle between RaZoR LeAf and Crystal Tears started with the two sending out their 2 pokemon. From one side of the construction site (maybe not the safest place to have a battle, but hey, who am I to judge?) a red beam of light signalled the arrival of RaZoR LeAf's two pokemon, Puft the golett and Montoya the Pawniard. From the other side, near a digger, stood Crystal Tears and her two pokemon; Venat the Kadabra and Haizhe the Zubat.

Haizhe was the first pokemon to move, sending a small ball of light towards the busy Puft, whom at the moment was constructing a Substitute from he rock and debris in the area. The ray hit Puft just as he was about to finish his substitute, leaving him feeling slightly disoriented but none the worse from the experience as the substitute took the brunt of the attack. (-3 NRG Haizhe, -7 NRG Puft, -7 HP Puft, +7HP Puft's subs) Just out of view behind one of the large piles of dirt stood Montoya and Venat, both poised to strike. Montoya started with an intimidating snarl, and Venat jumped slightly from the intensity of the agression behind it. Taking the snarl as an incentive to attack, Venat's spoon bent and from it came a bolt of electricity that struck Montoya in the center of it's chest, the spikes acting somewhat as a lightning rod of some kind. (-4 NRG Montoya, -7 HP Venat, -6 NRG Venat, -6 HP Montoya)

To everybody's suprise but Crystal Tears', Haizhe melted into the shadows and emerged behind Puft's substitute and tapped him on the shoulder. When he turned, Haizhe's glowing wing smacked right into his face making it fall apart. (-6 NRG Haizhe, -8 HP Puft's sub, no sub left) Puft took advantage of Haize's close range to him and smacked him in the side of the head with a fist imbued with ghostly energy. Ouch, that gotta hurt. (-5 NRG Puft, -7 HP Haizhe) Still behind the pile of debris, Venat's fist flared with bright orange flames and whacked Montoya right in the side, causing it to double over in pain. Just before that however, Montoya used some of the electrical energy from Venat's last attack mixed with some of his own to send a surge of electricity through the Kadabra's body, causing her to twitch in discomfort and paralysing her. (-7 NRG Venat, -9 HP Montoya, -5 NRG Montoya, +PAR Venat)

Montoya started the final action of the round by crossing his arms and using them as scissors to cut at Venat. (-8 NRG Montoya, -9 HP Venat) Attemptung to ignore the attack, Venat ran across the battlefielt towards Puft. When she was in range, she formed a ball of energy in her palms and fired it straight towards the unsuspecting Puft. (-7 NRG Venat, -9 HP Puft) Whilst Puft was still dazed, the Zubat named Haizhe tarted to flap his wings, somehow creating heat in the air. He then sent the surge of hot air towards Montoya, whom at that moment in time was waiting for his next set of commands. (-10 NRG Haizhe, -12 HP Montoya) Puft finally focused on his target Haizhe, and summoned a large ball of rock to float just above the blue bat. The rock then started to split, more and more pouring rock and sand onto Haizhe, almost crushing the poor guy. (-7 NRG Puft, -9 HP Haizhe)

Brilliant reffing Cynder, just one issue though. You mixed up my targets in the second part. Thunder Wave should have been aimed at the Zubat, and the Shadow Punch at Kadabra.

Venat, use Miracle eye on Montoya, then wait until he’s asleep and use dream eater twice on him. If he’s not put asleep on the second action, then switch your move to energy ball on Puft, and if not on the third, then Drain Punch on Montoya instead.

Haizhe, use Hypnosis on Montoya after Miracle Eye, then use shadow ball on Puft, and end with Confuse Ray on Puft. If Montoya isn't asleep by the third action, use Heatwave on him.

Little Puft sat and curled into a ball, and began to shine in a metallic fashion and rose his defense signifigantly. Montoya did pretty much the opposite, and began to dance eratically left and right, lithely dodging all of the debris on the construction site and actually kicking a lot of it out of his way with swift, hard movements. Crystal Tear's two pokemon looked at each other, nodded, and sent a dual sleep attack towards the two pokemon, who promptly fell to the ground, sound asleep dreaming pleasant pokemony dreams.

Venat decided she'd take advantage of the two sleeping pokemon and get a bite to eat. After a short mental deliberation over the flavour she'd eat, he decided that he was in the mood for some Pawniard dreams. When the hungry pokemon went to eat Montoya's dreams however, she felt a strong mental block. Puzzled, she tried again and again until she realised that the attack wasn't going to work. Psychic type moves just don't work on dark types! Sensing his teammate's angst, Haizhe sent a shadowy ball flying at Puft, who felt the sting even though he was sleeping, but still failed to wake up. RaZoR's two pokemon simply slept through the entire ordeal, near oblivious to what was going on.

Venat decided that even though she had failed at eating montoya's dreams, she'd have another bash at it. She just wasted her energy however, her psychic powers just couldn't penetrate Montoya's natural mental defences. Frustrated somewhat, Venat simply crossed her arms and tapped a single foot, waiting for the round to end. Haizhe sent another ball of energy towards puft, but slightly different this time. This time it was aimed to confuse the little golem pokemon, and it had the desired effect. Little by little Puft began to toss and turn in his sleep, and his head began to spin. Luckily he was asleep and didn't do hmself any harm, and Montoya was sleeping soundly in the center of the arena, using one of the smaller piles of rubble as a pillow of some kind.
