#451 Skorupi

"Found 12 Pokémon (including alternate forms) that meet your search criteria." That's what the TPM Pokédex says about the Poison/Bug type combo. However, Skorupi is still interesting due to the order of its types. It's the only one of them that is specifically Poison/Bug and not Bug/Poison. In fact, it's one of only a handful of Bug-types that has Bug as its second type.

#452 Drapion

Drapion is a dragon-esque Poison/Dark scorpion that also kinda looks like an ogre. Like several other Pokemon before it, it's the 4th generation's only Pokemon whose fully evolved form that drops a Type, Bug in it's case, and gains a new one, Dark-Type, similar to Tyranitar, in it's place.

#453 Croagunk

As far as my knowledge goes of the pokemon series, since I haven't watched it in a while. Croagunk is the lastest in a long line of people which interfere with Brock's pursuit of a love life in such a cruel manner. WHY CAN'T ANY ONE JUST LET BROCK HIT ON A GIRL, BLOODY HELL HE IS LIKE A 25 YEAR OLD GUY TOOLING AROUND WITH ASH, HE NEEDS SOME FEMALE COMPANY.

454 TOXICROAK
Toxicroak is, as the name suggests, a poisonous frog. It stores the poison in its throat sac. In the anime, Team Galactic's commander Saturn has a Toxicroak and that gives it mulitple appearances.

Carnivine

It's a big carnivorous plant-style Pokemon. Unfortunately, its only ability is Levitate, which is sort of a waste since Grass-type Pogeys already resist Ground-type moves. As well, its moveset and stat totals are pretty underwhelming, not to mention the fact that it's just sort of ugly. James had one in the anime and it continually devoured on his head, because that gag apparently hadn't gotten old for the writers.

#456 Finneon

Finneon just seems like a cheap copy of Goldeen, except with a less cool evolution. Hasn't really appeared much in the series, but it does look pretty cool.

457 LUMINEON
At level 31, Finneon evolves into this Pokemon. Lumineon lives in the deep sea and competes with Lanturn for food. When a swarm of Lumineon swim in water, it looks like a sky full of stars. Romantic.

#458 Mantyke

And now for a Pokemon with a unique evolution method. Mantyke evolves into Mantine when you level it up with a Remoraid in your party. Mantine is often shown with a Remoraid attached to its wing, so this makes sense. However, after evolving Mantyke, the Remoraid used to evolve it stays in the party. So unlike Slowpoke and Shellder, the two remain separate Pokémon after evolution.

Snover

Can you say... undesirable type combination? Snover, like the Exeggcute line and Celebi, has seven weaknesses, one of them a double weakness. On the plus side, it's kind of cute in a dorky way! I love its jaunty little iceberg chapeau.

Yeah... It's kinda obvious what kinda parallels they're trying to portray with this Pokemon with the name and the design. If you don't know what those parallels are, then brush up on your urban legends and famous monsters, please.

461 WEAVILE
When Sneasel becomes Weavile, it loses the gem from its chest, but gets one extra claw. This Pokemon lives in cold regions and hunts for prey in groups of four or five. It uses the signs it claws in boulders as its means of communication. In the anime, Paul has a Weavile.

#462 Magnezone

Magneton evolves into Magnezone when leveled up in an area with a strong magnetic field. An example of such an area is Mt. Coronet in Sinnoh. The electrically charged rocks in Unova's Chargestone Cave also appear to generate a magnetic field, through electromagnetism, that's capable of evolving a Magneton. Oddly enough though, the tracks of the Magnet Train that runs through Kanto and Johto don't seem to have any effect on Magneton.

Lickilicky

An amorphous, gluttonous blob. It uses its massive tongue to coat food in saliva and thereby dissolve it. Overall, maybe not an entirely necessary evolution? Yes, its stat totals are nice and it supports a decent array of moves, but my God, it's ugly. 'Nuff said.

464 RHYPERIOR
For some odd reason, Game Freak had to top Rhyhorn and Rhydon with this Pokemon. Trade your Rhydon with a Protector to get this evolution. Rhyperior uses its muscles to shoot rocks, and apparently, sometimes also Geodudes.

465: Tangrowth

WHATS NOT TO LOVE?! Massive Solid Grass Type with great SpD & Def? Eats you alive it will. Yeah I wasn't too keen on evolving it with Ancient power in its move set, but Tangrowth has definitely grown on me. Love it stretchy arms and well...they could have made it not so fat. But its all VINES. It may not be fat at all!

Electivire

One of my favourite of the evolutions added in Gen IV! Its rockin' stats and varied movepool make it a common sight in competitive battling; on top of that, Electivire is simply badass in appearance. Aesthetically, it definitely puts to shame the overweight pedophile better known aaaas...

#467 Magmortar

Besides it's kinda creepy smile, it other distinct visual feature is it's cannon claw hands that shoot out fire. I think people should give this Pokemon more credit since, it's fairly powerful and an extra evolution of Jynx would be worse looking than this critter.

468 TOGEKISS
This Pokemon divides the opinions of some TPMers as shown in THIS TOPIC. Anyway, Togekiss evolves from Togetic exposed to a Shiny Stone. It can naturally learn Sky Attack and its maximum HP at level 100 is between 280 and 374. In the anime, Dawn has a lookalike called Princess Salvia and she gave her Togekiss to Dawn.

Yanmega

The evolved form of Yanma, Yanmega is all around a decent Pogey: pretty cool appearance, great Speed and super Special Attack. Unfortunately, this guy's sorry defences coupled with weaknesses to the offensive mainstays of Rock/Fire/Ice/Electric cripple its presence in the metagame. Ultimately, I think we can all agree the best part about Yanmega is its species name... the Ogre Darner Pokemon. What. A. Badass.

Hey! I just picked one of these up from the Pokémon Global Link today!

Anyway, remember back in the RBY days when there were rumors that you could use a Leaf Stone on Eevee to get the top-secret grass-type Eeveelution called Leafeon? Who would have thought that one day, there would actually be an Eeveelution named Leafeon? Getting it to evolve from Eevee isn't a simple as using a Leaf Stone, however. To get an Eevee to evolve into Leafeon, you have to take it to an area with a moss-covered rock. Only two such rocks are currently known to exist in the Pokémon world. One in Eterna Forest in Sinnoh, and one in the Pinwheel Forest in Unova.

#471 Glaceon

The other alternate Eevolution introduced in Generation IV, created by exposing Eevee to either the cold weather of Route 217 (D/P/Pt), or the Ice Rock in Twist Mountain (B/W).

Its ability, Snow Cloak, gives it an extra level of evasion while it is hailing. While its Special Attack is decent enough, its other stats are not as hot. With a limited movepool, it’s not well suited for the competitive battling environment...at least not on its own. It may appeal for those who like Hail-based teams.

May's Eevee ended up evolving into Glaceon while she was at Snowpoint City in Sinnoh.

472 GLISCOR
Gliscor evolves from Gligar through holding a Razor Fang at night. When it evolves, Gligar's leg-like claws start resembling legs more. Gliscor can Acrobatics, among other moves. The levels where it learns these moves are the same as Gligar's, so don't hesitate in evolving it!

Mamoswine

The evolved form of Piloswine, Mamoswine is a massive mammoth of a Pokemon. Dawn had one in the anime and, like Ash's Charizard once upon a time, it spent a good while refusing to obey her. Though using an Ice-type Pokemon will often make for an uphill battle, Mamoswine is one of the best due to its favourable pairing with the Ground type as well as its excellent stats. Oh, and it's wicked looking. Yeah, overall, Mamoswine rules. I should really see about getting one in ASB.

#474 Porygon-Z

It evolves from a Porygon2 that's traded while holding a Dubious Disk. What is the Dubious Disk exactly? Well, it's dubious, "its producer is unknown", and it makes Porygon2 evolve into a strange-looking version of itself. Could Porygon-Z be what happens to a Porygon2 that gets infected with a computer virus?

Gallade. The Blade Pokemon. Evolves from Kirlia when a male of the species is exposed to a Dawn Stone. Gallade is a chivalrous Pokemon that willy fight fiercely to protect those around it; it can extend blades from its elbows that carve through foes with ease. Because it is able to detect its opponent's thoughts, it strikes swiftly and fiercely, usually ending fights before they can even begin.

Probopass

Potentially the ugliest Pokemon ever, Probopass is the evolved form of Nosepass. It is essentially a massive magnet with such power that iron filings accumulate around its nasal region, creating a sort of moustache. Fun fact: from level 1 to level 79, Probopass learns a new move every six levels precisely. (However, this interesting detail doesn't make up for its all-around hideousness.)

477 DUSKNOIR
This Pokemon's name may let some people think it's a Dark Type Pokemon, because noir is French for black. However, we are looking at the physically biggest pure Ghost Type Pokemon here. Dusknoir's main ability is Pressure which is characterisitc for Legendary Pokemon, but Dusknoir isn't. Basically, Pressure means that the foe must use more energy for its moves. In the anime, Conway has a Dusknoir.

Froslass

Known as the Snow Land Pokemon, Froslass evolves from a female Snorunt subjected to a Dawn Stone. Though many Ice-type Pokemon can be a little on the blah side, Froslass is pretty cool both aesthetically and competitively due to its excellent Speed and ability to use such moves as Spikes, Destiny Bond and Taunt. I'm not sure, but I think I might still prefer Glalie, though.

#479 Rotom

Rotom is the only Electric/Ghost-type Pokemon. This seems to give it the unique ability to possess electrical appliances, and for some reason, lawnmowers, which aren't electrical at all but rather gasoline-powered. Beginning in the 5th generation, possessing an appliance causes Rotom to change its second type from Ghost to something related to the appliance it's currently possessing.

Uxie. The Knowledge Pokemon. It can erase the memories of any being that looks into its eyes, so it always keeps them shut. It is said that when Uxie was born, it took flight and gave intelligence to all living beings. According to Sinnoh legends, Uxie hatched from the same egg at the same time as its brethren Mesprit and Azelf.

Mesprit

The second of the Lake Guardians, Mesprit is a tiny grey sprite-like creature with pink dreadlocky things. Mesprit represents Emotion and apparently made it possible for humans to be able to experience feelings altogether. Now, I get that Uxie/Mesprit/Azelf aren't a Legendary trio in the same sense as the Birds/Dogs/etc., but did all three of them really have to be so similar? They're a little boring to be honest.

482 AZELF
I guess I'll have to take the third lake guardian so that somebody gets Dialga. Whereas Uxie is linked to memories, and Mesprit to emotions, Azelf is connected to people's willpower and take them into control. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness refers to Alzelf as a male although this could be argued because we're talking about a legendary. In the anime, Ash got a glimpse of this Pokemon in the episode Pruning a Passel of Pals.

#483 Dialga

The box legendary of Pokémon Diamond Version. Celebi may be able to freely travel through time, but Dialga controls it, allowing Dialga to truly claim the title "master of time". If you're playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl and fighting at the Spear Pillar, Dialga has a chance of appearing and using its signature Roar of Time attack to slow time down for all combatants.

#484 Palkia

Palkia, the spatial pokemon, is the main Pokemon of the game Pokemon Pearl. As the master of space, it contributes to the stabilization of the space by just breathing. Palkia's ability as the master of space allows it to alter it, making miracles like taking a huge forest and reduce it to make it fit inside a tiny house.

In battle, being a Water/Dragon dual-type, it can take battles without worrying much about weaknesses, since it is only weak to Dragon type attacks. Having various effective attacks at his disposal (like Aura Sphere - which only 9 pokemon are able to learn, Hydro Pump - One of the most powerful water attacks, and Spacial Rend, a powerful attack with a high critical hit ratio that only Palkia can learn), high stats, and the pressure ability which makes the foe use more PP to attack, Palkia is a nice addition to any pokemon team.

485 HEATRAN
This Pokemon has an interesting type combination, namely Fire and Steel. That's why its steel body is melted somehwere by its internal heat. Although it's a legendary Pokemon, both male and female ones are said to be able to be encountered. Heatran is the only known Pokemon who can learn Magma Storm, a move that is a somewhat advanced version of Fire Spin. Magma Storm prevents the target from escaping or being switched out and deals some damage as well.

Regigigas. The Colossal Pokemon. This primordial behemoth is believed to have been created at the dawn of the Earth, when Groudon created the land; it is said that once Groudon raised the continents, Regigigas used great ropes to tow them into place. According to legend, Regigigas is slow to stir, but once it begins to power up, its strength reaches incalculable levels. Regigigas used its power in times long-past in order to give life to Regirock from sacred mountain stones, Regice from the first glacier, and Registeel from magma from the center of the planet.

Giratina

The only Ghost/Dragon Pokemon in existence, Giratina is the version mascot for Pokemon Platform and makes for one exceedingly badass Legendary. It posses two forms as well as the ability to traverse through dimensions other than our own... oh, and have I mentioned it's one of the most powerful Pokemon in the metagame? Personally, I prefer its Origin Forme, but that's just me.

Cresselia, the Lunar Pokemon. This Pokemon is 100% female, and if you go to sleep holding her feather, it is guaranteed you will have joyful dreams.

#489 Phione

Its status as a legenday is questioned sometimes. It's possible to obtain it by breeding a Manaphy with a Ditto, meaning you can get as many as you want, something that isn't a trait of legendary Pokémon. However, since the only way to obtain it is if you already have the event-only legendary Manaphy, it can be considered a legendary. If you do classify it as a legendary, with a base stat total of only 480, it's the weakest of the legendaries.

Seriously, this thing is a bore. You can trade it from the Ranger games which are always amazing. But, aside from a few niche sets, and Hydration, Manaphy SUCKS! I'm sorry, what makes this a legend again? It just rolls around in an egg and hatches and goes "HI! I'M A SNORK/SMURF LOVE CHILD!" There's no relevance to its powers, and the movie based on it still gave us nothing. Sorry Manaphy, go back to Captain Planet's chest where you came from.
