Okay Yami, just Focus Blast Ursaring into oblivion, and if it's down use Night Daze on Luxray. If your health gets below 10, use U-Turn instead of whatever I've said. Yurei, Flamethrower on Ursaring to help Yami out (switch to Luxray if it goes down), and if he U-Turns put whoever's left to sleep with Hypnosis.

    ‡ Round 234 ‡

Yami and Yurei keep things going with a Focus Blast and a Flamethrower, the combined power of which brings Ursaring within inches of defeat. The mighty bear targets Yurei with a Yawn while Luxray, on the other hand, hits Yami with a Signal Beam. Yami finishes off Ursaring with another Focus Blast and Yurei changes her target to Luxray, assaulting the Electric-type with another spicy trail of flames. However, once Luxray hits Yami with another Signal Beam, it becomes clear that Yami isn't long for this world. He hits Luxray with a quick U-turn and zips back into his Pokeball.

Suddenly, Yurei's eyelids grow heavy as the effect of the Yawn finally materializes. She crumples as she succumbs to sleep, leaving herself vulnerable to an abrupt and mighty Superpower.

The battle continues as Luxray, not willing to ease up on the gas one bit, shocks Yurei with a double blast of Thunder. Yurei, meanwhile, begins Sleep Talking. Babbling away while she slumbers, Yurei lashes out with both an Ember and an Overheat. The onslaught of flames leaves Luxray with a nasty Burn.

However, that's not the only status he must face. Yurei awakens and, before the Electric-type can fire off a third move, she puts him to sleep with a calming Hypnosis.

Let's flee to save energy. If it stops us from fleeing, use Fire Blast as many times as neccessary to get away, and make sure it stays asleep.

Then, after a moment of searching, you stand at the grandiose doors leading into the Crystal Gallery.

You recall Yami and Aikoku from their Pokeballs and give your Pokemon the chance to rest and recover. Once they're back in fighting condition, you heave open the doors and enter the Crystal Gallery for what you can only hope will be the last time.

Immediately, you notice things look different. Everything besides the portal mirror has been smashed. Shards of crystal litter the room and there appears to be no sign of Giratina. There, in the center of the gallery, you see two figures crouched on the ground. Upon closer inspection, you realize it's Gallade huddled next to the pale body of the infant Kangaskhan.

    He does not look well.

You turn around and see Giratina hovering there. You address the Legendary Pokemon, but it does not immediately reply. Suddenly, a translucent, iridescent energy dome materializes around part of the massive chamber. You, Yurei, Aikoku and Gallade find yourselves on the outside of the dome. Giratina and Yami stand within.

"It's to prevent... you from attacking... with three Pokemon at once," Gallade explains. "But it shouldn't affect your... Pokeballs... so you should still be able to recall and swap... Pokemon at will."

    Suddenly, the crystal hums.

Yami, Nasty Plot to begin with, this battle's going to be tough. Then Night Daze, and finish off with Shadow Ball. If you see it going into the shadows, use Nasty Plot and brace yourself.

As the showdown begins, Yami closes his eyes and begins to devise a Nasty Plot. Suddenly, his ranged prowess takes a turn for the better. However, Giratina quickly turns the tables with a sudden blast of blistering electric current. The attack rushes out in a wave and encloses Yami within its crackling strength. His muscles promptly lock up.

The effects of the Thunder Wave immediately make themselves apparent: though Yami tries to attack, his body remains utterly immobile. Giratina then capitalizes on this free hit by whirling rigorously in the air. Horribly, three massive Giratinas split away from the real one. They begin spinning amongst one another as though engaging in a slow, spectral dance, making it impossible for Yami to discern which is the real deal.

Only able to play a guessing game at this point, Yami hurls a black sphere at one of the hovering Giratinas, but the attack sails right through an imitation. Giratina then goes still, entering a state of meditation. New power surges through its body as it copies Yami's stat boost.

Okay Yami, if it's going to play that game blend in with its own clones by activating illusion. With any luck, it'll take its own clones out. Just carry on with the Nasty Plots until it kncks either your illusion or its clones out, and then use Night Daze.

    ‡ Round 241 ‡

Cleverly making use of its ability, Yami casts an Illusion over itself. At the expense of an action, his Zoroark body soon takes on the appearance of a Giratina and he joins the others. However, Giratina remains unimpressed as it shoots off a crackling Aura Sphere. The attack hones in on Yami with faultless accuracy and hits him square in the gut, causing his Illusion to melt away.

Now forced to go on the offensive, Yami tries to land a hit with a Night Daze. The swell of darkness presses through the Crystal Gallery, causing the shards on the ground to quiver as it passes, but the attack merely takes out another clone. Giratina takes this opportunity to strike with another super-strong Aura Sphere, which throws Yami onto the ground. He lets out a moan.

Though Yami tries to get up, Paralysis makes this attempt utterly impossible. Thus, he cannot protect himself as a colossal beam of burning white energy hits him square in the back, hurling his body into a wall. The stained glass window just inches from Yami's left shatters from the force of the impact and cold air rushes in.

Again, Yami lets out a moan. Damn Hyper Beams.

    ‡ Round 242 ‡

You summon Yami back into his Pokeball. Suddenly, the dome surrounding the battlers shifts and encompasses Yurei within its perimeter. Yurei stares at Giratina Hypnotically and, though the Legendary Pokemon tries to throw up a Magic Coat to render the move ineffective, it can't attack while recharging. Giratina soon slumps over alongside its clone, which mimics falling asleep as well.

Yurei then casts a Hex, but the attack sails uselessly through the final clone. Suddenly, Giratina begins mumbling in its sleep before standing back up. It scuttles toward Yurei and lashes out with a Cutting motion at her, dealing minor damage. Yurei retaliates with a Dream Eater. One can only imagine how horrible the dreams of a Pokemon like Giratina must taste, but Yurei nonetheless gobbles them whole and restores her health while doing harm to her foe.

Finally, Giratina continues Sleep Talking and lets out a blinding yellow beam of energy at Yurei. The attack does only reasonable damage, but carries a secondary effect: Giratina begins to sparkle as its Special Attack stat mounts even further.

Still asleep, Giratina continues its bizarre muttering. Suddenly, it musters up a wealth of positive energy (which is hard when you're a malevolent, trans-dimensional centipede thing) and lashes out with a not-especially-powerful Return. Yurei takes the hit with grace and retaliates with a pulsating Confuse Ray. It takes effect just as Giratina awakens. The Legendary Pokemon promptly begins thrashing about in a violent spell of bewilderment.

Giratina tries to attack, but can't seem to muster up the state-of-mind required for such a feat. Instead, it begins slamming its tail against its hide, causing it to yell out in pain. Yurei takes advantage of this window of opportunity to erect a Safeguard, protecting her from future Status effects.

When at last Giratina's Confusion has settled just enough for it to attack, the beast spews out a shimmering Earth Power. However, Yurei vanishes on the spot, causing the attack to strike a wall uselessly, shattering another window. When she reappears, she lashes out at Giratina with Dark energy. The great beast bellows.

Right, let's keep this beast immobilised. If confusion kicks in and it's unable to do anything, use Hypnosis. Until that though, just keep yourself on your toes and keep hitting with either Faint Attack or Dark Pulse. If you get it to fall asleep, switch to Hex, and if it snaps out of confusion when it isn't asleep then use Confuse Ray again.

    ‡ Round 244 ‡

Bellowing in a confused rage, Giratina holds Yurei within its intimidating gaze... before vanishing altogether. Yurei zips forward with a sudden Faint Attack, but the attack which hardly ever misses fails to connect with a target. Your Ninetales tenses up and peers around, trying to prepare for Giratina's eventual return, but the beast manages to land a hit regardless. It emerges from the darkness and lashes out with a crippling Shadow Force. As Yurei pulls herself up from that impressively strong hit, she recognizes a lucidity to her foe's gaze. Its Confusion has clearly subsided.

Rather than attacking with a Dark Pulse as she initially planned, Yurei follows through with your orders and attacks with a second Confuse Ray. However, Giratina merely whips up a Safeguard of its own which renders the attack useless. Growling, Yurei recognizes the futility in trying to land a Status move given the circumstances and goes with a second Faint Attack which, fortunately, does not miss this time around. Giratina lets out a cry as the super effective move drains a nice slab of health.

He tries to act, but alas, Paralysis immediately renders him immobile right out of the gate. Thus, he's a sitting duck as Giratina unleashes a glowing blue Aura Sphere. The crackling energy ball throws Yami backward in a deja-vu moment. Though he pulls himself to his feet and retaliates with a Sucker Punch, which causes Giratina to groan, a second Aura Sphere just about knocks Yami right out of the fight.

He zips around the massive room at top speed, though Giratina still manages to land a hit: with a burst of electricity, he subjects Aikoku to Paralysis much as he did to Gallade and Yami.

Despite Paralysis, Aikoku manages to persevere and land two Shadow Claws. Giratina lets out a roar as Aikoku tears into him. Suddenly, glowing lights appear at ceiling as Giratina summons two Draco Meteors to descend upon your Braviary. Their strength is boosted by Giratina's monstrous Special Attack, but that modifier quickly dissipates as the moves are used. Aikoku is quickly thrown to the ground and is pinned beneath the meteors' bulk.

    Giratina's Safeguard soon fades away.

Meanwhile, Yami and Yurei try to better their present state by Resting, but they can't seem to execute the command. It appears that, though they stand outside the dome, they're still under Giratina's influence.

"You almost have him!" Gallade cheers. "Weaken him enough and I'll begin trying to transfer his life force back to the Kangaskhan!"

    How do you proceed?

Switch out Aikoku, and Yurei enter the fray. Try and catch it off guard with a Hypnosis, but if it goes to use Mirror coat or safeguard switch to a Safeguard of your own. Then if it's asleep use Hex twice, if not and it hasn't used Safeguard and you have just use Hypnosis again. If you fall asleep use Sleep Talk, and finish ff with a Hex regardless of what happens.

    Hypnosis/Safeguard ~ Hex/Hypnosis/Sleep Talk ~ Hex

    ‡ Round 248 ‡

Once again, the circumstances compel you to pull Aikoku out of the fight. You send Yurei in his place and immediately get her to put Giratina to sleep with a Hypnosis. However, when Giratina counters by swaddling itself in a protective Safeguard, Yurei puts the brakes on the Hypnosis and switches to a Safeguard of her own. Both Pokemon are now warded against Status effects.

Yurei and Giratina then exchange super effective moves, with the former dealing a pair of Hexes and the later going for a couple of stronger Earthquakes. Because you and your Pokemon stand outside the dome, you're protected against residual damage from the quaking ground. For the first time in the battle, Giratina's composure seems to have changed. It's leaning a little while heaving its entire body slowly. Could this peculiar movement perhaps be... panting?

Suddenly, Gallade pulls himself to his feet and points his arms at Giratina. Using what little strength he can muster, he releases a brilliant beam of green energy at Giratina. Though the beam causes no ostensible damage, it nonetheless causes the great beast to wail.

"It's weak enough now so I'm extracting its life force!" Gallade roars. "Keep it busy until I've finished! This should only take a minute. When I've drained the life force and give the signal, you may throw the Ultra Ball!"

Your surroundings seem to be reacting to what's going on. The remaining windows begin shattering and large chunks of stone seem to be falling from the ceiling. You and your Pokemon are forced to dodge large slabs of rock as the Crystal Gallery is gradually reduced to rubble from the sheer force of Gallade's spell.

However, Giratina seems to have had enough. You watch as it stomps over toward a wall and crashes its head into it, causing it to collapse. Then, the beast throws itself outside into falling rain and red skies as it flies away.

    How do you proceed?

Oh no you don't! Aikoku, fly us out of here! Yami return, and as long as we are in range Yurei use Faint Attack to try and get on top of Giratina, then use a final Hex!

    ‡ Round 249 ‡

You refuse to let Giratina escape so easily. As the Crystal Gallery and perhaps the entire temple begins to disintegrate, you return Yami and hop aboard Aikoku with Yurei. Gallade cradles the infant Kangaskhan's body as he joins you two. With that, Aikoku spreads his wings and soars away from the crumbling mess.

The rain beats against your face as you pursue Giratina, a dark blip against the backdrop of red skies. Paralysis makes the flight a difficult one for Aikoku, but he bravely perseveres as you approach Giratina whose flight is laboured due to energy depletion. Once you're in range, Gallade resumes attacking Giratina with the same green beam to drain its life force. Yurei leaps from Aikoku's back with a Faint Attack and begins casting a Hex on the Legendary Pokemon. Giratina thrashes against the pain and tries to unseat Yurei, but it fails to knock off your steadfast Ninetales.

Suddenly, Gallade's spell comes to an end. Squinting through the rain, you peer over at the tiny Kangaskhan. Her eyes slowly open. The life force has been restored.

"This is your chance!" Gallade roars as the wind and rain rage around you. "Look, Giratina is heading toward the gates! It's trying to escape! You have time for one toss and one toss only!"

There is no doubt in your mind at this moment. You know exactly what you need to do.

    How do you proceed?

    ‡ Round 250 ‡

As the wind and rain pummel you from all sides, you grip Aikoku's feathers with one hand and pluck an Ultra Ball from your belt with the other. Yurei leaps back onto Aikoku as you, leaning forward, throw the Ultra Ball at Giratina.

No sooner does the Ultra Ball leave your fingertips then Aikoku begins to wobble mid-flight. Suddenly, Paralysis kicks in and Aikoku's wings fold in against his sides, sending you into a wild tailspin toward the ground. Pressing your body close to Aikoku, you begin doing circles around the crumbling temple as you rapidly plummet. You scrunch up your eyes and prepare for the inevitable impact.

At the last moment, miraculously, Aikoku regains control of his muscles and stretches his wings. He manages to save the landing and, though you and your comrades are thrown from his back as you land in the temple gardens, you're ultimately unscathed. You pull yourself up out of a mud puddle, drenched from head to foot. You look over and realize the temple is at this point in ruins. You throw your gaze over all the the crumbled stone; you barely make out the glint of the portal mirror as it sits among the detritus.

Peering up at the sky, you see no sign of Giratina. However, you do see something

"What's that?" Gallade asks, pointing upward as he clutches the baby Kangaskhan.

Suddenly, a small object falls from the sky and lands in another mud puddle beside you with a splash. You, your Pokemon, Gallade and the infant Kangaskhan look at the muddy, spherical object with interest. Suddenly, it begins wiggling back and forth in the mud.

Then, with a click, it goes still before teleporting away.

Your breath catches as you realize what's happened.

    CYNDER'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Platrin Plateau
A strange, mysterious temple set high in the sky. You can only enter the road to the temple by releasing the seal chanted by the ancients long ago. There are two shrines, one in Sunshine plains, and one in Grave's Yard. They are inconspicuous, the Grave's Yard shrine is a maouselum of sorts. Here, you will find exceptionally strong Pokemon in the various rooms and spaces of this ancient land set high in the sky. If you are lucky, you may stumble on a Legend or two?

    ‡ Round 251 ‡

Having accomplished what you set out to do, you decide to leave before those ever-so-pleasant garden Pokemon can accost you once again. You and your comrades approach the portal mirror and peer into its surface. You're pulled back into that dark and shapeless void before reemerging at the Platrin Plateau gates. The sky is again a clear shade of blue and the real temple, bone-white and tall, stands unharmed unlike its counterpart in the other dimension.

The Kangaskhan's mother stands not far from the entrance and you watch as Gallade hands the joey over to her. Succumbing to tears, she hugs her child and thanks the lot of you profusely. As she eventually departs, her child slung carefully over her shoulder, you watch as the child waves goodbye to you.

You then ask Gallade if he would like to join you.

"We certainly make an excellent team," he says, nodding, "and you've demonstrated that you're a Trainer with unparalleled skill and virtue. Truly, I'm honoured that you would ask me to join you. I accept."

    Crush Quarry
A dangerous quarry home to Rock and Ground types. Footing is loose, and there's always work being done. A few Fighting types and some rare Steel types also make their homes here. Within the mining tunnles you may find a few rare passages...

You give your second Ultra Ball a toss. It connects with Gallade's shoulder and opens wide, turning Gallade into red light which is then sucked inside. The Ultra Ball drops and, with a click, Gallade is caught. The ball is then teleported to the front desk.

Aikoku requires a little rest before he can take flight once more; as such, you give him and the rest of your team an opportunity to heal. Once they're ready to depart, you leave Platrin Plateau through the pearl gates and take off into open skies. You watch as the landscape below becomes gradually more rugged and less verdant and, soon, you descend. You touch down on a patch of gravel and peer around Crush Quarry. You see a number of worker Pokemon in hard hats carrying construction supplies. Among them, you spy Garchomp and the Donphan foreman who had treated you rudely. They notice you and approach.

"Cynder! Were you able to deal with Giratina?" Garchomp asks. You tell her everything that happened since you left Crush Quarry. "Wow, that's excellent! Congratulations on the catch! Just so you know, the construction effort is coming along great. Oh, before I forget... I believe the foreman has something to say to you."

"I do?" the Donphan asks. Garchomp shoots him a sharp look. "Oh, right! Listen, I want to apologize on behalf of myself and my fellow workers for the way we treated you earlier. You were trying to warn us about Giratina and, um, we really weren't doing our due diligence. We shouldn't have laughed at you like we did. So, um... sorry."

You leave Garchomp and Donphan to continue working as you enter the tunnels. Looking around, you watch as a Machop and a Tyrogue walk by carrying some lumber.
