[Ultimate Charizard]

In an Effort to upgrade a few members of my team im offering a big one! 6v6, 2 at a time, hosted in my own E4 arena but not under the rules of the Elite 4. The only stipulations are that only pokemon that need Battle Experience are useable. No Non-evolvers, no final evolutions.

You send out first, i attack first. Banned moves include Substitute, OHKO's and all non damaging Heals.

And as for the Arena....*rolls dice* ..its a 4! The Fire Arena!

Fire - A Rock based Volcanic floor with small streams of Lava running across it. Digging underground is banned and ground attacks like Earthquake run the risk of exposing the lava beneath the user of the move and hurting them back.

Right, ill go with Ralts (m-Synchronise) and Litwick (f-Flashfire)

Litwick start off with a Wil-o-wisp at Bulbasaur and Captivate at Torchic. End with a Flamethrower at Bulbasaur.

Ralts start with a Confuse Ray at Torchic and then go for Bulbasaur with a Pair of Psychic attacks.

Bulb, use Safegaurd, then use Furry Cutter on Ralts, then use Mud-Slap one Litwick.

Clark, use Shadow Claw one Ralts, then use a Rock Slide on Litwick, last use a Night Slash on Ralts.

Ultimate Charizard sits upon his throne, overlooking the Indigo platau and all the lands that encompases it. You can tell by just looking at him that he is BORED. With no trainers coming at him for the league spots, he has resorted to collecting children to entertain him. Mewing at his feet are a Ralts and a litwic.

Enter Mike, the guy with the hat. He senses the danger of facing Ultimate in his own arena, but Mike has a secret weapon of his own. A Torchic and a Bulbasaur.

Its attraction at first glance. The four pokemon head off to play and dance and skip and frolic.

Ultimate looks down and GLARES daggers at Mike. How DARE he interrupt Ultimate's brooding! The battle line is drawn.

Snapping his fingers, Ultimate smiles while Mike looks on in shock. The ground is retracting, and what appears to be the inside of a volcano is revealed.

Mike sends his playful little monsters out, and Ultimate does the same. Battle on!

Bulbasaur is the first to act. Not liking the heat one bit, the little grass monster sparkles some kind of pixxy dust on both himself and Torchic. Litwic blows some purple flames towards the the grass monster, but the pixxy dust protects him from harm. Torchic darts forward, his tiny claws glowing with shadowy energy, but before he can connect with Ralts, he is met head on by a flash of bewildering lights. Torchic continues running... In to Ralts!

(Ralts: - 5 hp, - 5 en) (Litwic: - 5 en) --- (Torchic: - 5 en, Safeguard) (Bulbasaur: - 5 en, Safeguard)

Litwic is first to act this time, making some odd movements that seem to draw Torchic's eyes, who lowers his attack just a little, before directing the rubble from the vocanic arena right back at her. Meanwhile, Bulbasaur lashes out at Ralts with his vines, whacking away in a fury. Ralts responds by picking up the bulb, and tossing him skyward.

Ralts and Litwic look at each other, and then combine attacks. The flames from Litwic's flamethrower combined with the Psychic manipulations of Ralts strike the grass monster, who goes tumbling back. Seeing his partner in trouble, Torchic lashes out at Ralts with evil dark slashes, while Bulbasaur directs some earth at Litwic. Instead of mud, Bulbasaur finds that he has knocked a plate back, allowing more lava to flow!

Energy surges through Torchic, who finds his speed increcing. The magma and lava start to flow from the hole made by Bulbasaur.

Bulb, use Sludge, then Power Whip, then another Sludge all on Ralts.
Clark, use Rock Slide, then Rock Tomb both on Lit, then use a Shadow Claw on Ralts.

Litwick - Firespin to trap Bulbasaur then Double team to dodge the Rock Tomb. End with a Shadowball at Torchic.
Ralts - Psychic against Torchics rockslide and send it back at Torchic if you can. A second Psychic directly at Torchic after that and Double Team to avoid the Shadow Claw.

Clark is up first, Sliding a bombardment of rocks right onto of Ralts's little head. The Psychic helmet returns the rocks in a bombardment of his own. Litwic fires off a small tornado of fire at Bulbasaur, who tries to fire off some sludge at Ralts. The sludge hits, but at only part power.

(Ralts: - 15 hp, - 10 en) (Litwic: - 5 en) --- (Torchic: - 10hp, - 5 en,) (Bulbasaur: - 5 hp, - 5 en)

Clark has the speed advantage, and begins to build a tomb of rocks to hold Litwic. Litwic attempts to make clones, but it is too late to escape. Meanwhile, Ralts blasts Clark with Psychic energy, while Bulbasaur, feeling left out, hits Ralts for six with a power whip.

(Ralts: - 5 hp, - 10 en) (Litwic: - 15 hp, - 5 en, + 2 clones, - 2 clones, - 1 Speed) --- (Torchic: - 10 hp, - 10 en) (Bulbasaur: - 5 en)

The safe guard protecting Clark and Bulbasaur fades, as Clark dashes forward slashing at Ralts. Ralts spits out some clones in response, unable to match the speed Clark is outputting. Bulbasaur, stuck in his firey tornado, fires out some Sludge at Ralts again, for only partial damage, while Litwic, bringing up the rear, fires off a ball of shadows at clark.

Bide

Generation IV-V

Bide is now an increased priority move and will only endure attacks for two turns. Bide also now hits Ghost types, as well as Pokémon who are in the semi-invulnerable turn of Dive, Bounce or Shadow Force. If sleep status is inflicted on a Pokémon using Bide the move is disrupted and does not continue even after the Pokémon wakes up. Otherwise, it is exactly the same as Generation I-III.

What the shit is that? That seems borked to me...hitting during dive and bounce, but not fly or dig...and shadow force? Naa, thats a bit ridic... I'ma hafta review that. Continue on as you've been, Bide's gonna need a damn revamp.

Ah great didnt realise Bide was now the unstoppable, unblockable super move of death. Makes as much sense as saying Volt Tackle still hurts Ground types.

Sorry Ayeun im not blaming you, im blaming whoever wrote that Move list entry.

Whats the justification for randomly having a move that ignores a resistance/Immunity for no apparent reason?

I believe it was done from a competitive stand point. In a online battle, after the opponent had used bide, you would be able to hit them with say a Focus punch, and then change to a ghost type to avoid the damage... Or use Dive or fly if you could to get away from it.

So more than likely written by someone who likes Bide and has had this 'dodge' done to them.

Fair enough, have it still target those using Fly/Dig/Jump etc cos i agree its a cheap way to rob someone of 3/4 turns of buildup after taking a beating but I still dont see the justification of why Bide should ignore the normal rules of type immunities though.

Anyway, thats another discussion i guess. Still waiting for mike to order.

Clark, use Rock Slide on litwic twice, then Shadow Claw on ralts.
Bulba, use two Furry Cutters on ralts, then a Power Whip on litwic.

Ralts use Psychic to catch and redirect those Rock Slides back at Torchic then providing its not immune to Psychic attacks just use a Psychic directly at it.

Litwick i want you to finish of Bulbasaur first off with a Firespin so it hurts iteslf when it lashes out and then an Overheat. If its still standing a Flamethrower, if not a Shadowball at Torchic.
