Faraday keeps his composure despite his opponent's overwhelming health advantage. The tiny tarantula sheds a layer of skin, creating a substitute out of his own lifeforce to absorb hits. Scrafty, meanwhile, is too paralyzed to even move.

Faraday, now with a safeguard, is free to start attacking his opponent. A drum-shattering buzzing sound attacks the arena, forcing Scrafty to cover his ears with his hoodie. When the sound finishes, he retalliates with a weak rock attack, nearly destroying Faraday's clone.

FARADAY : -6PP, Sub: 3HP // -9HP, -3PP, -1HP : SCRAFTY

Feelng at ease, Faraday lets out one more buzzing sound that frightens the much larger fighting pokémon. Scrafty can barely take it all in before finally destroying Faraday's mirage with a powerful stone edge.

Round 31
Faraday begins the next round by spinning a web that is charged with an electrical current. However, as he attempts to wrap his foe with said web, it only manages to entangle said foe's protective barrier. Scrafty snickers from behind his safezone.

FARADAY : -3PP // -5PP, -2HP : SCRAFTY

Faraday, annoyed that his first attempt faltered, utilizes his speed advantage and flings a swift ball of contained electricity at Scrafty, whose muscles are making it quite difficult for him to evade such an attack. The ball snaps his torso, causing great damage. Scrafty, none-too-pleased, snaps his fingers and summons three clones to enter the arena, upping his evasive prowess.

FARADAY : -6PP // -10HP, -5PP, +3 Clones, -2HP : SCRAFTY

Faraday, despite his eyes' technical superiority, can't quite tell the difference between Scrafty and his dopplegangers, and instead slams right into one of them. Scrafty snickers once more, having successfully defended against two of Faraday's attacks, before slapping the electric spider with a nasty batch of poison.

Round 32
The unnamed scrafty begins round 32 quickly by surrounding Faraday in a small mausoleum -- trapping the electric spider quite easily. Faraday, however, manages to escape his earthly prison as the venoms slowly start siphoning his health. He finally climbs to the top before tossing one of the rocks at Scrafty -- unfortunately, he hits a clone.

FARADAY : -7HP, -10% Spd, -3PP, -1HP // -3PP, -3HP, -1 Clone : SCRAFTY

Faraday keeps his eyes peeled and focuses as his body becomes engulfed with a fizzy electricity. The spider snaps, bolting forward with incredible speed before finally managing to land a blow on Scrafty! The fighting pokémon doubles back at the sheer force of the attack before regaining his composure. He takes the rocks from his previous attack and hurls them at Faraday, dealing incredible damage.

FARADAY : -6PP, -1HP, -2HP, -14HP // -9HP, -1 Clone, -7PP, -3HP : SCRAFTY

With Scrafty's doppelgangers a non-issue, Faraday is free to attack his opponent without fear of inaccuracy. Faraday launches forward once more, striking Scrafty with a cross-strike of poison energy, dealing mild damage to him. Scrafty, meanwhile, pulls himself together and tries to get serious -- but his body locks up, rendering him unable to respond.

Round 33
With his time in the battle coming to its end very soon, Faraday wastes none of it by firing off a swift orb of electric current. The orb collides with Scrafty, knocking him back a few feet -- but he cannot retalliate -- his muscles are seized up!

FARADAY : -8PP, -2HP // -13HP, *par*, -4HP : SCRAFTY

The tiny tarantula keeps the attacks coming, slamming into Scrafty with the poison fueling his attack power. Scrafty again is knocked back, but manages to regain his composure for a few seconds before slamming his head down upon Faraday, driving it into the ground.

FARADAY : -6PP, -2HP, -22HP // -11HP, -5PP, -11HP, -4HP : SCRAFTY

Faraday is quick to recover, but Scrafty himself cannot seem to get back up. He inadvertantly knocked himself out with that last attack, making Faraday the winner, and giving Razor Leaf three victories in the battle -- giving him victory as well!


Bopp, for winning one battle and tieing another, you are awarded 7 points.
Dan, for winning three battles and tieing, you are awarded 9 points.
And I get 10 for reffing five battles back-to-back.

Shit that WAS close! I never thought I'd get this close with Joltik but that to the wire. Phew. Glad this battle is over, pointspointspoints.. and another free slot. Awesome job team, thanks Grey for reffing and P to the B Opp for battling for so long.

woah, woah, woah. I ordered Scrafty to use Head smash thrice in one combo.

Head Smash is an attack with intense recoil -- you could only do so much damage at the cost of your own health as well. And because you lost all of your remaining HP with just one of them, you were only able to produce the attack once. Remember, Scrafty was paralyzed on the first action, so he was unable to pull off anything at all as Faraday was attacking him.
