Apologize to the Sneasel for waking it up and nicely ask if it would help us scale that there frightening mountain.

However, if Sneasel keeps on attacking, hit it with some Hidden Powers, Os.

This large mountain is very cold and has biting winds nipping around. There is a layer of snow falling and many ice types can be found here. Also look for hardier bird Pokemon and a variety of tough foes.

    Round FOUR
    THE GROGGY WEASEL
    Minobe & Maeda - Bombardment 1

You try to reason with the weasel, but he doesn't seem the type to just let bygones be bygones. He hisses once more before slashing at Junior with a pair of night slashes!

Oslo, Jr. is taken back by the blades before summoning a trio of hidden powers at the pokemon. The cackling electricity wraps around Sneasel quite viciously, but he still looks hungry for battle.

Give Oslo a break and then send out the Professor. Dr. Buggenfield, warm yourself up with a Tail Glow and then cut loose with a pair of Signal Beams!

    Round FIVE
    THE GROGGY WEASEL
    Minobe & Maeda - Bombardment 1

Sneasel throws his body at Junior once more, but before he can lay his tendrils into your psychic pokemon, he is struck by a wild signal beam -- compliments of the Professor.

Oslo, Jr. retreats while Sneasel and the Professor stare one another down. It's still cold, but his glowing tail is giving him some comfort, at least. Bugg lets loose with another signal beam, burning Sneasel harshly. Sneasel hisses again before wildly slashing Bugg. The damage is great, but not enough to cause concern.

    Round SIX
    THE GROGGY WEASEL
    Minobe & Maeda - Bombardment 1

Bugg warms himself up yet again before getting knocked out of the air by Sneasel's ice beam. Bugg, flabbergasted, poped off his imaginary monocle (the imaginary top hat, however, remained) and struck Sneasel with a pair of buzz bombs -- enveloping Sneasel in a world of uncomfortable bug energy.

Sneasel shakes it off for a few seconds before responding with a night slash! CRITICAL HIT!, ouch. And just like that, the imaginary top hat falls off.

Bugg shrugs off the most recent hit before snapping his tiny fingers. In almost an instant, Sneasel is hit with a paralyzing clap of electricity, and can no longer move his body.

Sneasel, frustrated, realizes his pickle and throws in the towel finally.

Feeling confident, you decide to end the battle. While Sneasel fully expects to be finished off, you recall the Professor and offer an olive branch, asking him for a guide around the mountain.

Sneasel is perplexed, but warms up to you.

That, I can do... but I'm gonna need a moment's rest.

Out of curiosity, Sneasel... would you happen to know where exactly any members of the Swinub evolution line might reside?

You take a few minutes to gather your strengths while asking Sneasel about the inhabitants of the mountain.

The Family of Tusks usually hibernate on the other side of the mountain. It is much safer to go around Ffeffni, but I am not adverse to climbing the mountain if you'd like.

By the way, the name's Pepe.

Suddenly, you become aware of the snea-- Pepe's French accent.

After a good twenty minutes of resting up, you decide to move forward. The trail around the mountain is, admittedly, less scenic than you'd like. But you're rather in the mood for a swift capture, rather than a bold sight.

Pepe leads you through a valley of dying trees with various pokemon perched among them; one of them looks to be quite rare:

Quickly, you recall your remaining pokemon to their balls and latch onto Lachesis as he charges out of room 12. The clock at the floor, at this point, is active -- the minute and second hands spinning quickly, almost out of control -- as they do so, the centerpiece begins to raise slowly. Lachesis climbs up onto the raising centerpiece as it continues to elevate.

You take a moment to relax, but that moment doesn't last long enough as a ball of fire nearly strikes your hide!

A strange, mysterious temple set high in the sky. You can only enter the road to the temple by releasing the seal chanted by the ancients long ago. There are two shrines, one in Sunshine plains, and one in Grave's Yard. They are inconspicuous, the Grave's Yard shrine is a mausoleum of sorts. Here, you will find exceptionally strong Pokemon in the various rooms and spaces of this ancient land set high in the sky. If you are lucky, you may stumble on a Legend or two?

    Round ONE FORTY-THREE
    THE DEMONIC HYDRA
    Masashi Hamazu - Fighting Fate

Tartarus dives down, focusing his rage on Lachesis for the time being. A fire drips from his center fangs as he prepares for his attack. However, as his focus is entirely on the steel guide, Ichimaru manages to sneak behind him and slap him from behind. The damage is light, but the effect is off-putting, throwing Tartarus out of his groove entirely. Tartarus shakes it off, but he turns around only to find Lachesis tackling him ferociously, knocking him out of the air temporarily. Kamon is the last to strike, yawning weakly. Unfortunately, the effect doesn't take.

Kamon, feeling dissatisfied by his first attempt, instead decides to focus on himself. His body begins to inflate, swelling his defenses in the process. Gin, meanwhile, raises his arms as high as he can stretch them, and a sudden force drags every creature to the clock-faced floor. Its own ascent, however, is not affected. Tartarus, with his movements hampered, furiously strikes at Gin with a wave of dark energy -- burning the ghost pokemon. But again, Tartarus was distracted by his rage, leaving him wide open for Lachesis' attack.

Tartarus pulls himself together, stamping his legs to the ground and standing up straight. In the process of doing so, however, he is subject to both Lachesis and Gin's ice attacks. They pierce his torso, but he remains footed. His arms begin charging with fire and ice energy, while fire once more drips from his own fangs. Within seconds, a tri-elemental attack leaves Tartarus. The fire, lightning, and ice blades strike Lachesis, Kamon, and Gin respectively. Kamon finishes the volley of attacks with a body slam -- but his slow movements barely cause an effect against the behemoth.

    Round THIRTEEN
You keep moving, nearly getting frustrated (and tired). What're the odds that the first creature you find who knows the location of the pokemon you want would go running off?

You continue to run through the woods for a few more seconds before you ultimately give up. Cold air is immensely more difficult to breathe in than you would've thought. Just when you're about to give up hope, you hear something -- another trainer perhaps -- giving orders.

    What's your next move, Oslo?

    Send someone to scout.
    Continue (quietly) moving forward.

Your pokemon make haste for their next techniques, but Tartarus, tired of being hammered on, unleashes a powerful Draco Meteor that explodes along the clock-faced floor. Kamon and Gin struggle to maintain their balance, but Lachesis stares upward -- the ceiling's approaching quite quickly.

    I have to protect Chronos!

And without hesitation, Lachesis charges at Tartarus with all of his strength and tackles the dragon off the tower, taking himself down in the process.

You cry out to him, looking down and seeing nothing but darkness. You sigh, and the tower finishes climbing -- you're now in a strange room. The only thing present aside from yourself and your pokemon is a large, intimidating statue, just asking to be observed...

Well, it doesn't seem fair to rob another trainer of his right to capture wild Pokemon. So for now, at least, I choose not to intervene.
