8 signups. Signup with the Pokemon you will use.

Banned Moves: All healing moves and Pain Split. Everything else is fair game.

Arenas are either Bug field, Ghost field, Steel field or Fighting dojo. No real advantages to them.

When you win a round, you gain 50% of your health back.

Signups end when I get all 8. No holding spots, you sign, you post Pokemon. Refs are welcome, and you know I'll be on top of this. Bracket will be made the day the slots are filled.

Prize? Winner takes home 15 points, second place 10. I'll also throw in your choice of a an ability switch or a Saf Zone trip. If anyone wishes to design a Trophy, please, by all means.

This is on top of how many you earn battling each round. Refs get double their normal payout.

No. 'Healing moves' refers to moves that do nothing else EXCEPT healing, like Rest and Recover.

If say for example, I fight Mika in the first round, and Mika wins, but was at 72% HP, does he go to 100% or 122%?

I'd assume 100%, since the alternative would be a bit silly and there isn't really a precedent for it.

Also, I propose Blade and DL take the last two tournament spots.

O.o Thought I answered it. Yes, if you have more than 50% health after your first round, you go back to 100. No surplus.

Oslo-OP is correct. I decided to ban any move that could be used to heal this time. The next Tournament will have Pain Split as an accessible move :O. Bracket UP!

No one's at fault here Chaos. VB effed up. I posted you and Tearo as slot 6. My comp crashed. Post didn't go through. Therefore, I forgot about it, came back saw 2 slots, thought nothing of it-added Mika.

By right, Charles isn't in the Tourney. Chaos, you were #6....::Looks at bracket:: Bracket edited. To make this up to Charles, he gets 1st slot in the next one, which will happen after the next Contest-which will happen after this Tournament :O. So it might be along within a month if we keep a good pace!

edit: nope. Keep original order. Fixed again. Had idea. Chaos will be wild card. Whoever wins first fights Chaos for a chance to stay in. If you lose, Chaos moves up. This way he fights in as many battles-A little awkward, but everyone gets to play

I'm going to have to point out a small flaw in your plan here DL. You just handed Chaos a free pass in to the second round, and whom ever he fights a kick out of the tournament.

Since he is coming in with fresh pokemon Vs a pokemon that just fought and is going to be weakened.

Also, when reffing, do I just randomly select which arena (Ghost, Steel, etc.) is in play for the match? What do these fields look like?

DL: As I said, I figured it was a mistake, and not deliberate. But I've seen cases where the mod's just forgot to give the reason for an exclusion, and I figured it better to wait to hear what had happened. (And I've been that mod in the past. So... yeah).

I think Ayeun was saying that, if Chaos wasn't handicapped and instead had 100% health when he took on his opponent, he'd easily win and it would be the same as handing him a free pass. But yeah, equal health makes sense.
