Maraud, grab each of their pointy head crest thingies... and start spinning in place as they unleash their blizzard. We'll be fine in the center. The hell with peacefulness.

You and Apollo take the Snorunts and crouch low to the ground. Meanwhile, Marauder and the Glalies whip up a Blizzard that rages around you but leaves you untouched. The birds squawk in surprise as they do their best to combat the Blizzards, flapping their wings manically. Their unfathomably strong gusts slam into the mountainside, causing everything around you to shake, but they can't seem to repel the Glalies' assault. The Pidgeottos drop out of the sky one by one, defeated, while the weary Pidgeots land to catch their breaths.







When the Blizzard abates, you realize the wintry winds have also stopped too. Oh, sweet relief! That storm was starting to get old. As the snow begins to settle, you see an entrance to the mountain no more than forty feet ahead.

But then...

You feel a rumbling.

The Snorunts around you start chirping in manic fright, eyes pointed upward. You turn to the sky and watch as mammoth mounds of snow begin to thunder down the mountainside toward you. Looks like you just brought about one hell of an avalanche.

How do you proceed?

You, Marauder and Apollo sprint toward the opening. Suddenly, all five Snorunt children leap onto you, clinging to your arms and your legs and your back. You strain to carry all of them to the entrance before the snow comes down on you.

Without warning, one of the Pidgeots dives in front of you. He raises his wings aggressively and lets out of a squawk. Before you can react, however, the father Glalie leaps upon him and begins to pin him with an Ice Fang. You trudge ever closer, now only a few feet from the entrance, as the shiny Pidgeot now blocks your path. This time, the mother Glalie clears the way for you with a sudden Headbutt. Everything around you is rumbling like mad.

"Hurry!" the mother Glalie cries as she subdues the Pidgeot.

With an action hero-esque dive, you leap into the cavern as the avalanche comes down. You turn around and watch as heaps of snow tumble down the mountain, completely and totally blocking the opening. Well, at least you made it in.

You look around, counting heads to make sure everyone is present. Marauder, check. Apollo, check. Snorunts one through five, check. Phew.

But that's it.



Suddenly, as the infants realize what happened to their parents, they begin to let out ear-piercing shrieks that reverberate throughout the icy cavern. A passing Jynx claps her hands over her ears and shoots you a dirty look.

"Is something wrong?" the Jynx asks, approaching. "I heard the avalanche. They happen all the time here. Quite irritating."

As we speak, the Glalies are probably burrowing themselves free. For creatures without limbs, they are alarmingly good at tunnelling through snow. It'll take them an hour or two, probably, but they'll get free. Mark my words. Maybe have a nap or something in the meantime?"

"I don't know if we can afford to have a nap," Apollo says to you. "How much longer can Virizion and the forest Pokemon last? We should probably get going. Of course, I'm not entirely sure what we're going to do about... them."



The shrieking continues. You fear they might set off another avalanche.

The others sit around and start munching on snow. You want to follow, but you don't want to leave the infants alone. And curses, the Jynx appears to have left...

The kiddies just about explode with excitement at your suggestion. They whiz around the corner, shrieking and giggling as they go. Apollo seems a little taken aback by the fact that he has to slide around on the ground, but he begrudgingly cooperates.

You eventually catch up to Marauder and the little Snorunt. The little critter is bouncing and pointing to a mound of ice near the wall, excited to have found what you were looking for. You see something blue and roundish in the middle of the ice, but you can't exactly make out what it is.

The little Snorunts get bored of sliding and begin chewing on one anothers feet.

"Runt sno-sno," the little Snorunt says, crossing his arms proudly. Clearly, he does not understand the difference between "Bluepepper" and "Great Ball."

Meanwhile, the other Snorunts start pulling at Marauder's feathers, giggling like fiends.

Deciding to let the infants do whatever they want unattended, you take a passageway that snakes off to the left. You can hear the distant, excited shout of the Snorunt who run this way. The two remaining infants cling to your ankles as you, Marauder and Apollo head down the icy tunnel in search of the underground lake. The tunnel extends quite a ways and you wonder why you can no longer hear the Snorunt's echoing cry. Soon, you find out why.

As you step out into the next room, you realize the infant has gotten herself surrounded.

You decide to leave the child to get eaten alive by the hungry Rattatas. The two Snorunts clinging to your ankles shoot you dirty looks and stick out their tongues before hopping off to help their sister. Without checking to see how the battle goes, you press on with the greater good in mind.

You don't have a very good idea of where you're going, though, and quickly find yourself in yet a large chamber. What a redundant little cavern. If only those Bluepeppers were easier to find. You take another step, unsure entirely where to go from here, when you hear the ground beneath you beginning to crack. The floor looks like it's about to give way.

Perhaps it's karma for abandoning those poor widdle babies, or perhaps it's your douchey DM: either way, much to your misfortune, you take no more than five steps before face-planting on the slippery surface. Groaning, you feel the ice around you slowly crack and give way. With a smash, you break through the ice and start falling and falling. Just as you wonder if you're about to plummet all the way to the base of this stupid mountain, a splash sounds and all the oxygen leaves your body as you slip... beneath water! You're suspended in bone-chilling water that feels as though a hundred serrated knives have punctured your skin.

Well, you found the lake, at least.

You can't tell exactly how long you can stay in the water without going hypothermic, but you try to explore the lake while you're still able. You surface, pausing to catch your breath, before going back under. The water is astonishingly clear. You swim the bottom, running your hands across the soft lakebed. There are plants down here, but none of them even remotely resemble a Bluepepper.

Suddenly, a great weight slams into you, tossing you backward through the water and emptying your lungs of air. When you straighten, you see a Gastrodon tearing through the water. She looks aggressive. You try to claw back up to the surface, but the Gastrodon slams into you again, throwing you back to the bottom. She lets out an angry wail.

Light-headed, you point your sword at Gastrodon as you begin to frog-kick toward the surface. Gastrodon backs off, leaving your escape unhindered. As you breach the surface of the lake, you happily suck back gulp after gulp of oxygen. However, before you can react, Gastrodon emerges as well. She lets out a cry and dives toward you... only to find herself on the receiving end of a powerful Psywave.

Looking upward, you see Marauder circling the lake with Apollo on his back. Marauder dives, scooping you up out of the water. He flies you over to the bank where he deposits you sopping wet on the cold, stony ground. Your cunning Staraptor immediately warms you up with a mild Heat Wave. Smart bird.

You peer around blearily, blinking the water from your eyes. Suddenly, you see it: no more than twenty feet away from you, clustered on the bank of the lake, is a pile of white snow flecked with blue vegetation. Whoo!

You walk over to what you believe to be the Bluepeppers and reach down, grabbing a handful of the blue vegetation. Suddenly, the vegetation lets out a furious bellow as the pile of snow friggin' stands right up, revealing itself to be, well, not a pile of snow at all.



Apparently Abomasnows don't like to be woken up by grabby humans. The creature lets out a roar and snatches you up by the ankle, hoisting your body up into the air. Your sword clatters to the ground. Marauder and Apollo step forward to act, by Abomasnow puts his fingers in his mouth and blows, creating a high-pitched whistle. Dangling upside-down, you clap your hands over your ears to block out the sound, but Marauder and Apollo aren't so lucky.

They slump over, asleep.

You pluck the Great Ball from your belt and hoist yourself up, slamming the device's button against Abomasnow's arm. The angry conifer lets out a cry as he turns into crimson light, causing you to tumble down to the ground. As Abomasnow is sucked into the ball, you scramble for your weapon before straightening, readying yourself. Without even wiggling, the Great Ball bursts open, breaking in two. Abomasnow reappears, thumping his forearms against his chest.



Eyeing your sword, Abomasnow fires off an Ice Beam. For the second time this adventure, ice crystals accumulate around your weapon's blade. The sword becomes too heavy for you to bear and falls to the ground loudly.

Marauder and Apollo begin to stir, but Abomasnow renews their condition with another Grasswhistle. It's not them he's after. It's you.

You make a bunch of vaguely ethnic remarks that largely leave Abomasnow unfazed. The seven-foot beast marches over to you and hoists you up by the ankle yet again, howling in your face. Just as you thought things couldn't get any worse, the monster steals one of your shoes and eats it. Yeah. Bet you weren't expecting that.

All of a sudden, a familiar face returns.



Gastrodon slides out of the water and inches toward Marauder and Solrock. She has vengeance in her eyes. Using her mouth, she grabs ahold of the two slumbering Pokemon and retreats back toward the lake, dragging them along. You watch as the trio disappears beneath the placid surface. Oshitno.

You dangle there, waiting for Abomasnow to finish off your other shoe. The humanity! That's when you notice something against the distant stone wall: a set of steps leading back up into the mountain. Five figures are standing completely still on the steps, watching you with identical looks of concern on their faces. Even after everything, the infants seem genuinely worried for your safety.



Abomasnow doesn't seem to have noticed their presence.

Well...::Take off other shoe:: The hell with it. Samurai style anyway. I got a nasty bone to pick with that stupid Gastrodon. Detach my hilt from my sword, put that (handle) in my teeth and here we go!

(Side note: Os..this is what my sword looks like. No...I don't own it.....yet *_*The hilt detaches so its like a shuriken and the handle is a dagger.)

You imagine yourself leaping into the water and making a heroic rescue, but sadly, Abomasnow is still holding onto you. Fortunately, the Snorunts skip on over and form a circle around you and the angry evergreen. Suddenly, the infants begin squealing in unison.



After a moment, you realize there's a bit of a melody and rhythm to their squeals. It almost sounds like... they're Singing? You clap your hands over your ears yet again as Abomasnow is lulled into a deep sleep. He slumps over, leaving you free to remove the hilt from your sword as you wade into the impossibly cold water. Well, here goes.

You dive under, peering through the water. You see a couple of Dewgongs drifting in the distance and a Lapras not far off, but no sign of the Gastrodon. Suddenly, movement near the bottom catches your eye. You swim even deeper, your skin feeling like it's on fire, as you vaguely make out the shape of Gastrodon and your two party members. The beast is spewing mud at Marauder and Apollo who are no longer asleep. The two look like they're trying to squirm back up to the surface, but the dollops of mud keep on coming, weighing them down. The sea slug looks like it's taking sick joy in this bit of revenge.




At this point, Marauder and Apollo must have next to no oxygen left.

You frog-kick toward Gastrodon, ready to do some damage with your dagger. The slug lets out an aggressive wail, telling you to back off, but you keep on coming. You make a stabbing motion but Gastrodon feints, diving around you. Ready, you do a rapid spin and lash out again with your blade again, this time making a sizeable slice across Gastrodon's soft underbelly. Looking more enraged than you'd ever seen her, Gastrodon dives toward you. You hold out your weapon, prepared to deal the finishing blow.

Suddenly, another shape throws itself toward her. Using whatever strength he has left, Marauder tackles Gastrodon with an aquatic Quick Attack before squirming toward the surface for air. Dazed by the attack, Gastrodon is made vulnerable as sea plants extend from the lakebed and wrap themselves around her limbs. Apollo rises, commanding the Grass Knot to keep ahold of the beast while you the lot of you make your escape.

You, Marauder and Apollo crawl back to the shore, freezing and panting. Abomasnow is still snoozing harmlessly and the Snorunts are bouncing around the shore excitedly.



One of them bounces up to you and holds out a bushel of something. They look like they're cayenne peppers, but they're a brilliant blue.

"Those are definitely Bluepeppers," Apollo confirms.

The infant gestures toward a spot just down the lakefront where they were presumably picked.

"F-found!" Snorunt squeals, extending them toward you. "Present!"

You and the Snorunts share a bit of a moment as Marauder warms everyone with another gentle Heat Wave. With the Bluepeppers in your possession, you head up the steps and begin to look around for their parents. After wandering around the interior of the mountain for quite a while, you eventually find yourselves back to the main chamber where you first entered. The entrance, you find, is no longer entirely blocked with snow. Sunlight pours through the opening and waiting there by the opening is the Glalies.



"There you are!" the father cries as they rush forward to embrace their children about as well as any creature without arms can embrace something.

"Thank you, human, for keeping our children safe!" the mother exclaims. "Please, is there anything we can do for you in return to show our gratitude?"
