I'm making an animation

It's one I've had in my head for a while. I'm really annoyed that I have to go out pretty soon so will have less time to work on it.

So here's some previews of teh process cos I love spoiling things :3

Looks fun, and funny, too! Are you going to make it a video clip or perhaps a GIF? Outside Windows Live Movie Maker or whatever it's nowadays called, there are lots of commercial video software available but I found it irritating that I am not able to find any long-lasting option to make animated GIFs. I only have come across a few like Easy GIF Animator but that one is limited to only like 20 trial times so I'd love any help to find a program that will always work.

I've got Adobe ImageReady CS2, it comes with Photoshop CS2. You put all the frames in a folder, ideally the files are labeled with just numbers, because it makes the order of frames a lot easier and import them into ImageReady. Sometimes it gets confused and puts all your frames into one frame, so you hide all the ones you don't need, duplicate it to the total number of frames needed, set it so that each frame has a different image, set the time for each frame and set it to loop the whole thing.

It's really easy. Not easily explained in text. If you want, when I get to that stage, I can post screen caps of what I'm doing?

As far as I'm concerned, go ahead, screen caps would be cool.

You could even open a shop where you do animations from ready-made frames made by other people who can't afford Photoshop. Sounds a bit like... how would I put it... 'unreported employment'... though.

Oh, if you ever want something animated, I'd happily do it :3 It doesn't really take very long, nor does editing the timings if it's not right the first time. If you've got any frames in mind, chuck em my way.

N'aww, this 'lil guy is cute :3 The frames look like they'll move pretty smoothly when you put them all together!

Also Mikachu, this site can animate for free - just upload the first frame, click the 'frame by frame animation' option, and upload the rest of the frames in the space provided. Then just edit the fps rate and make sure that you make the animation loop, and you're good to go! It can be hard to work out complex timings with this though :/

Okay next time I want to to do an animation I'll turn to either you ChobiChibi or that site... does it allow you to download the GIF, Cynder?

I still went and made this March's signature with Easy GIF Animator but I admit I could have done it better.

You can also download Gimp for free, make the frames as layers and save the image as GIF. That's what I do when I want to make an animation.
