So Asilynne, as for the rules, I had some plans but again, I'll just reduce them to only one rule:

What this means is Ice attacks are totally banned, they will not do anything if they are used. The weather cannot be changed to anything but Sunny Day. Fire Types have a slight boost to attack, Plant types have a slight boost to defense, Ice Types might as well just give up right now, Water types have an increase to speed, Flying types are immune to the following:

Every few turns at the ref discretion, the pokemon may get caught up in a skirmish between the ducks and the parakeets, taking some collateral damage.

Every other type of pokemon not mentioned will just behave as it usually would.

Adelaide. A quite pleasant place to be, if you are a traveler or a foodie, and I happen to be both. Moreso foodie, as I give two rat's asses about tourist locations. But, it's nice to get away from it all...see a new cit..

>.> Hrm. Seems Asilynne is here. As well as Mikachu. Well they haven't seen me yet, so I will just stand behind this strange statue. From my vantage point, I hear them deciding on battle terms? Really? The naive pair. Well, I'll ref from here so as not to alert them to my presence. Hrm..Asi is starting with her Swablu, Skye. I haven't see that bird in a while. To retaliate, Mika whips out a Bulbasaur! Yes , that's right, Bulbasaur! That Bulba immediately gets to work making a sparking energy appear around itself. It manifests into a pretty good Safeguard, but Skye stays perched on Asi's head. She's singing a song that would put caffeine snorters to sleep.

Mika watched with glee as the song was denied!

Skye: -2E ~~ Sip: -5E SG: 7 act

Seeing opportunity, Mika pointed toward Asi, Sip following the instruction. Asi quickly shooed Skye off her head, and in good time too. The bird replicated in the air, only to lose not one, but two clones as a Sludge Bomb deluge began to rain all around them. Asi crouched, hoping to some strange overlord that she was not struck by some massive poison glob...or there'll be hell to pay.

Skye: -3E 2 cl~~ Sip: -7E

No dice? Well then, the Sludge Bomb brigade was fired off once more. Asi quickly moved...damnit she's coming toward the statue...Let me crawl directly 180 degrees in the opposite direction, so she can't see me... Ok. Now I have to whisper....She's hanging out by the statue. I just noticed that statue has birds all over it. Weird. Anyway. Skye does not evade being struck this time. In the midst of diving through the Sludge Bomb, She connects with Sip, and managed to strike him back with an equally hard hitting Aerial Ace.

Skye: -3E/-12H ~~ Sip: -7E/-12H

Even matchup folks, and the fight has just begun.

Sip looked up and down before trying to attack the bird. Skye fluttered in the sky, and quickly zipped back and forth, but found it a bit hard to see in this light. It did not help that Sip initiated a flash blast that threw Skye off her game.

Skye: -3E +2 Spd -Acc ~~ Sip: -3E

Skye dove to the ground, bouncing off of it slightly harder than she'd like. As Asi looks around, talking nonsense about hearing me, Sip takes advantage, and fires off a few seeds. Unsure which way they're falling from Skye is encumbered with the nasty seeds, and is instantly hampered by their effects.

But that's not what happens. Instead, the thin barrier Skye utilizes is enough to bounce the seeds off as its dispelled.

Skye: -6E ~~ Sip: -2E

Annoyed that the bird still seemed to get the drop on him, Sip went back to the drawing board. Out went craftiness, and instead came a barreling strike. Skye flew backwards and skidded to a stop. Taking a shot, Skye cawed and released a stream of fire that enveloped a massive area. Too bad it was away from Sip.

The partial blindness was more than enough for Skye to deal with. She began to flap her wings, calling in a thin but powerful fog. The Haze washed over the pair, but Sipuli kept his focus. A littering of seeds layered the avian-and the health drain began. (-1)

Skye: -4E -2 Spd +Acc LS ~~ Sip: -2E

Feeling a bit robbed by this creative plant, Skye decided to act on an intrinsic level. She began with a Safeguard that gave her protection form anything that the Bulbasaur could though, but Sipuli was not even focused on her. He was focused on himself as well, bringing out a power upgrade. (-1)

Skye: -5E SG: 2 Rds~~ Sip: -2E +SpA

Satisfied with her protection, Skye decided to whip up on the plant. But as she released the heat wave that would have crippled the planimal, a thin barrier stood up to defy her. Skye grumbled, that plant had bested her this time...(-1)

Skye was not keen on Sipuli's apparent advantage. Flapping those fluffy wings the avian took it upon herself to start some physical confrontation. As Sipuli sucked up more of this thing called life-he found that beaks were pretty sharp. The streak gave him something to now be wary about.(-1)

Skye: -2E ~~ Sip: -3E/-8H +SpA

Satisfied with his prowess now, the Bulbasaur now looked to pinning the bird. Only...Skye was up in the sky! not only that, but a swarm of other avians came raining down from all sides!(-1)

Skye: -4E ~~ Sip: Too many birds! -5H

Skye flew down, a solitary blue and white streak against the cavalcade of colors assaulting the air. Sipuli stayed crouched down, until he finally spied the bird. By then, it was a little too late, as Skye's hit connected with the rolypoly saur, Sip rolled to the side, but fired of a Sludge Bomb at the end of its tumble. The poisonous blob splattered all over a few of the birds in the sky as they started to retreat. (-1)

Ick. Skye was still flapping around in disgust at this staining purple that littered her wings. But that gave her an idea. Those puffy appendages began to expand with every flap, increasing her own guard. Sip didn't seem to mind much, as tendrils of light began to make his bulb grow...(-/+1)

Skye: -2E +3 Def ~~ Sip: -5E

Thinking that she was safe from anything Sip could muster, Skye called the sun to wash over the field. As the rays of sunlight intensified, Sip smiled. His bulb suddenly became hyper charged! A massive Solarbeam was the result, firing into her chest and sprawling her across the ground.(/+1)

Skye: -4E/-8H ~~ Sip: -5E
Sun: 6 act.

Skye pulled herself together, and gave out a series of chirps. She shimmered in place a few times, revealing no less than 5 avians, ready to attack once more. Though outnumbered, Sip smirked. The sun was quite revealing in its glory and he just bided his time, beefing up himself. (-1)

With the sun still shining bright, Skye decided to turn the tables on her grassy nemesis. As he tried to sell her Avon products (though, you gotta admit, that apricot scrub has a crazy sweet scent), Skye was kind enough to inform him of her main issue. Dry skin.

Then it got all sorts of hot in herre! (-/+1)

Skye: -9E ~~ Sip: -2E/-13H

Oh yeah. But Sipuli continued to tell her the benefits of this lotion, and of others like it. Like this strange purple one, that he said was eggplant. Damn sure didn't SMELL like eggplant. But he let her try a free sample on her face.

Skye tried it out, a little unwittingly. But in the end, she turned it down, feeling it was too overpowering.(-/+1)

But no. There was still more. Man, Avon does not give! Now he was showing off these small balls that you could roll on your back. He called these Seeds "back bombs" And then proceeds to rub Skye's back with them. Skye crashes to the ground from the impact, slightly placid from all the scents. She still doesn't approve of the items (+/-1)

The warm sands of Australia in the summer. A bird could learn to love it out here. Sand baths that are therapeutic and enriching...as well as hardly any natural predators! Skye rolled around, Roosting happily for all of a minute. Her world was subsequently rocked by a Energy ball from a more than eager Sipuli.(-/+1)

Skye: -12E/+25H/-16H ~~ Sip: -6E

Now the sands hurt because they're ripping along her face. Poor Skye. But she's not crying about it, no. She stays down, and shrugs it off as best she can. Seeing no retaliation, Sip stays put as well.(-/+1)

No longer comfortable being on eye level with Sip, Skye launches herself back into the stratosphere. Why in the world did it seem that every time she flew up high, those other parakeets came back to start some mes. Now he had to deal with this swarm.

Not only that, but Skye took a cheap shot, slicing across his side as he was preoccupied. Slamming a parakeet head first into a rock, Sip turned to watch the blue and white avian. Then he stuck his tongue out, and gleefully sucked up some LIFFFFFE!(+/-1)

Nothing much seems to happen for the moment. In fact, its a strange lull in the battle.(-/+1)

Despite his exasperation, Sipuli fired off a Sludge Bomb that caught the bird off guard. She sqwaked, and noted the poison seeping int her. Craaaap. (-/+1, -1)

Now exhausted, Sip squatted on the ground. Bad timing? Guess so, as Skye ran over and sliced at him with her beak! How dare he do such a thing to her! (+/-1, -2H)

And all of a sudden, the match just picked up in intensity. Skye landed, and tried to rid herself of all the sickness she just inherited. Sipuli tried to muster up anything, but his bulb just sputtered. Poor guy was still exhausted. Concentrating hard, Skye purged her system of that little trump card Sipuli tried so hard to obtain.(-/+1)

Skye: -4E ~~ Sip: >O!!

Not wishing to fall over in exhaustion and be a sitting duck, she wanted to try and relax. Only, Sipuli was up, and he wasn't having any of that. A Sludge Bomb slammed into her with no mercy, knocking her off her perch and leaving her anything but relaxed and serene.(-/+1)

Skye: +6E/-14H psn ~~ Sip: -7E

Skye sqwaked in anguish, and tried to heal herself, but Sipuli once again rained all sorts of Sludge on her. She sat through it, knowing this would hurt the plant more ! (+/-1) But, as she healed, the chills ran down her back. Again! Seriously? (-3)

Skye: -12E/-14H/+25H Psn ~~ Sip: -7E

In the end...nothing was gained.

Well, after that strange hiatus, we get back in this match. Pretty heavily too. Because you can see these two Pokemon are so energized and ready to rumble. Skye is waiting on a Solabeam, totally foregoing the simple fact that Sipuli is not firing one off right now! In fact, he put it on the backburner in order to try a more sinister attack. Feeling the ebb and flow of the poison in her veins, Sipuli mentally forces the poison to move in a different direction, causing stark amounts of pain to the fluffy flier.(-/+1, -1)

Skye: -9H ~~ Sip: -6E

Well, this is awkward. Sip sits down, pooped again. Skye grunts, anxiously awaiting the whole Solarbeam that's supposed to come. But it never does becasue Sipuli is completely tuckered out for two actions in a row! Man, that's gotta suck. (-/+2, -2)
