The foliage doesn't take too kindly to the sudden change in climate, but Alexander persists, keeping you cloaked in snow. You keep moving forward until you start to hear squeals coming from up ahead. They're not familiar, however...

You continue through the treetops with a mission at hand, but you keep an aura of stealthiness as to not attract attention. Alexander, meanwhile, minds the rear, bringing the ice storm with him.

As you continue, you spot an unusual series of painted Xs along some of the trees. You think about them for just a moment before hearing a set of voices -- you quickly hide amongst the foliage as a troupe of four pokemon march forward, spotting Alexander.



"Young Abomasnow," says the grumpig to your pokemon, "why have you come here with a hailstorm?"

You emerge from behind the trees and try to approach the situation peacefully, but as soon as you catch their gaze, their smiles wipe away faster than a newly divorcee on Valentine's Day.

The grumpig is the first to announce his concerns:



"Human!," he shouts, disapprovingly, "your kind are unwelcome here!"

You try to explain the situation to the four of them, but before you can even open your mouth, you feel a blunt punch to the back of the head. Your vision blurs for a second, but the last thing you see before total blackness is Alexander standing overhead with a menacing smirk on his features.

...

...

You awaken several hours later in a daze. Your head is throbbing and you're surrounded by four walls and a door. Your remaining poke balls are missing, as well as Alexander and Kamon.

But you're not alone:

As you continue to converse with the grass pokemon, a flash of lightning overtakes the peaceful sky and a sudden torrent of rain comes down from the skies.

"This... this is part of his doing, yes," Gallon explains, while rummaging for something underneath his counter, "you must wear him down." He pulls out the something, and hands it over to you -- it's another great ball, "and then catch him with this. If you can do this... then we'll see about that vial..."

You nod in agreement, accepting the great ball. As you turn to brave the storm, you hear a ridiculously loud roaring sound coming from the outside. "Good luck, stranguh," Gallon says as you step outside with your two pokemon in tow.

The rain is heavy, but not enough to overwhelm you. The lake remains calm as the pellets of rain fall into it -- but that calm is interrupted as the largest serpentine creature you've ever seen emerges from underneath:
