Chris's breathing becomes labour as the Kecleon becomes aware of the fact that he's circling the drain. Employing a deft maneuver, camouflages himself and creeps toward Frap. Before the cow can act, she finds herself on the receiving end of a shadowy and icy strike. Mooing in anger, she drops blinding for Chris and manages to find him. With a triumphant bellow, she hoists him over her head before slamming him to the ground below.
The Kecleon lets out a laboured moan as the last of his health slips away. Night night.

The Ghost-lover makes good on his name as he tosses a third Pokeball onto the field. Out pops a jewel-eyed spook that raises his arms and lets out a spectral moan. Frap seems a little intimidated by this newcomer and decides to shock him something nasty. However, before she can kick up more than a couple of sparks, Ichimaru Gin darts with for a surprise strike. The cow returns to her original colouration.
Ichimaru Gin: <-2 EP>
Frappuccino: <-4 HP; Normal>
Slamming her hooves against the ground, Frappuccino raises a series of tremors that dissipate across the open plain. Ichimaru Gin struggles to remain upright as he looks around for something to… use… to… oh! Nestled in the grass, he manages to find a... Rayquaza fridge magnet! Man, I want one! With that, he snaps his fingers. A hefty chunk of his health drains away and filters into the rubbery doohickey. La. Just like that, Substitute made.
Ichimaru Gin: <-26 HP; -4 EP; -1 Spd; Sub: 20 HP>
Frappuccino: <-4 EP>
Frappuccino curls herself up into a ball and starts rolling around the field like mad. She rolls toward the Rayquaza fridge magnet and flattens it easy-peasy, though the little novelty item remains intact. All this time, Ichimaru has been honing his focus like some kind of creepy-ass statue… until he’s ready to strike. Gliding toward his rolling opponent, Ichimaru unleashes one hell of a punch that sends Frappuccino flying. That would probably be quite fun if not for the, y’know, excruciating pain and all.

With Frap having lost four-fifths of his health, the bovine growls and decided it's time to get... tricky. Ichimaru begins to glow red as the spook wields its tricky Psychic powers. However, Frappuccino shields himself behind a scarlet Protective barrier, stopping the psionic waves dead.
Ichimaru Gin: <-7 EP; Sub: 17 HP>
Frappuccino: <-8 EP>
As Ichimaru assumes a DBZ-esque stance charges up an energy ball, Frappuccino stomps one of her hooves into the ground and hunches over like a linebacker and/or sumo wrestler. However, something's off: for whatever reason, she doesn't seem to be able to put herself in an Enduring frame of mind. Perhaps the recent Protect has something to do with it? However, it turns out that it doesn't really matter whether or not she's enduring because she's not at critical health anyway. Ichimaru's Shadow Ball catches Frap in the gut but she keeps on truckin' anyway.

RL kicks off the next round by releasing an iron snake into battle. She roars and rages as she thumps her tail against the ground, kicking up a ferocious Sandstorm. The Rayquaza keychain is idly tossed around in the prevailing winds but doesn't end up getting tossed too far. Ichimaru Gin waddles up to the Steelix and kicks her hard in the tail, causing her to fall over.
Ichimaru Gin: <-10 EP; Sub: 17 HP>
Titanium: <-18 HP; -4 EP>
Enraged that such a little pipsqueak could deal such beastly damage, Titanium slams her tail against the ground. Shockwaves shoot out across the ground and strike the Substitute for a sizeable amount of damage. Ichimaru Gin, however, isn't full shielded against his opponent's attack and feels the residual aftershock of the quake. He uses the momentum of the aftershock to launch his full body at the Steelix, but it doesn't end up being ridiculously powerful.
Ichimaru Gin: <-4 HP; -8 EP; Sub: 5 HP>
Titanium: <-9 HP; -8 EP>
Titanium takes a swing at the Rayquaza keychain with her tail and ends up snapping the thing in two. Hah! Ichimaru, meanwhile, squints through the raging sand and casts a tiny ball of blue flames at his opponent. The fire catches the very tip of her tail and leaves an unpleasant Burn.

Titanium: <-4 EP; Brn>
Ichimaru Gin suffers the effects of the Curse and the Sandstorm <-13 HP; -5 EP> while Titanium loses a bit of health due to that pesky Burn <-3 HP>.

IIRC Dragon Tail always goes last, so to nitpick I should've Will-o-Wisped him sooner. Being a bitch like that

We enter the sixteenth round of our lovely little fracas as Titanium does everything in her power to make up for her comrades' disappointing performances. Ichimaru sprints toward Titanium with fists a-blazin', but Titanium swats the wee sprite away into a swell of swirling sand before he can land a hit. Take that, diamond-face!
Ichimaru Gin: <-12 HP>
Titanium: <-8 EP>
Ichimaru gets back up and tries for a repeat performance of his stellar Low Kick. However, as he runs through the storm toward Titanium, she begins slamming her heavy tail against the ground to kick up some powerful shockwaves. Ichimaru stumbles forward and fumbles the kick, landing only a partial hit on one of the Steelix's spikes. That said, even partial Low Kick on a Steelix is nothing to write off.
Ichimaru Gin: <-12 HP; -10 EP>
Titanium: <-9 HP; -8 EP>
Titanium repeats the same strategy, drilling her opponent with shockwave after shockwave. This time around, Ichimaru Gin manages to navigate the quaking earth a little better and lands the hit without fault. Yay!
Ichimaru Gin: <-12 HP; -4 EP>
Titanium: <-9 HP; -8 EP; -1 Spd>
The combined power of the Curse and the Sandstorm <-11 HP; -5 EP> prove to be enough to bring Ichimaru to his defeat. RIP, ghosty. Titanium's celebrations are cut short when her Burn flares up again <-3 HP>.

‡ Round 17 ‡
The battle seems to be winding to a close as MLG releases his fourth and final Pokemon. A flash of red fill's the night's air as a bird with puffy white wings swoops into battle. She lets out a shriek which causes the raging Sandstorm to unceremoniously fall to silence. The moon is suddenly revealed and begins bathing the battlers in a white glow. Titanium responds by borking out a massive rock at her feathered foe. The boulder strikes Isane in one of the wings and sends her into a tailspin to the ground. She somehow manages to land rather gracefully, but the wing looks damage.
Isane Kotetsu: <-8 HP; -4 EP; SmD>
Titanium: <-3 EP>
Perched on the ground, Isane decides to roll with it and releases a fiery ideogram upon her energy. The flames blaze against Titanium's steely carapace while the moonlight seems to be making the whole thing even more excruciating. Titanium responds by throwing her full body at the grounded bird, scoring a critical hit in the process.
Isane Kotetsu: <-18 HP; -10 EP>
Titanium: <-24 HP; -8 EP; Crit>
The round continues as Isane kicks up a fierce, sweltering wind. The heat licks away at Titanium with impressive strength, but stops short of doing as much damage as it perhaps could have thanks to that handy-dandy thing called a damage cap. Titanium slams her tail against the ground and assaults her foe with a series of strong tremors, but they don't seem to hit the fowl for as much damage as Titanium has been receiving.
Isane Kotetsu: <-10 HP; -8 EP>
Titanium: <-16 HP; -8 EP>
Titanium's Burn continues to do what Burns do best, but the cap stops her from feeling it.

I think damage cap hits Titanium at 9HP?
Anyway, Isane lets finish this. Another Flamethrower, then Earthquake. Finish with Draco Meteor!
I've been reffing so many battles without damage caps lately that it didn't even cross my mind. Fixed!

And with that, we're done.

It was an awesome match. Chris, my Kecleon is sort of a win-or-lose guy, which is why I like him so much. And he looks fucking cool. Hoping for a fiery rematch dude!
