Matepod seems eager to continue. But Trace feels this match is lopsided. Aw well. Maybe he can finish off this bug this time around. A driving swipe and his claws hit chrysalis. But his leg feels a sharp twinge. Metapod crunches down on that exposed leg, and Trace if forced to land abruptly to try and slash and kick free.

Me: -5E/-9H ~~ Tr: -4E/-7H

Trace finally manages to free his leg, but Metapod already flung itself backwards. Being the hyper aware creature, Trace raises its arms to block and manages to use his wings to flap himself backwards enough to turn and hurt the incoming Metapod with them, before being squished on his back plenty hard!

Completly confused as to how this bug could fight so well, Trace went for another aerial slice. Its blades met hardened exterior and then its ridgeline met fangs of some sort again! Where were the teeth!
