Rosalinda, you're probably gonna be able to help out the most, considering you know some electric attacks. Plus, your psychic abilities will help locate the best fish.

    TEAM BTPOKE'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Ivy Lake
A secluded lake in the middle of the forest, you'll find rare Dragons here, along with all the usual Water types. Rumour has it, that there's a cave hidden underwater...

    ‡ Round 58 ‡

You approach Seismitoad and register yourself and Rosalinda for the contest.

"Wonderful," Seismitoad says as he writes down your information. "With that, the contest registration had concluded! Now, the rules... you will have thirty minutes to catch the best Water-type Pokemon in the lake. Once you've hooked a Pokemon, you will need to reel it in and then battle with it before you can catch it in one of your Lure Balls. Once you have a Pokemon, you're welcome to come back to shore and retire. That said, you want to keep looking for a better Pokemon... and you're encouraged to do so... that's up to you. You can catch as many as five Pokemon; however, when judging time begins, you can only choose one of those five to be judged. So be strategic! Catches will be ranked on size, weight, how far along the Pokemon is on its evolution chain and rarity, so it's important to keep this in mind while catching and submitting Pokemon for evaluation. Oh, and remember, just because you catch a Pokemon in a Lure Ball does not mean you actually own said Pokemon. If, however, you want to battle and capture that Pokemon for keeps once the contest is over, that's up to you! Oh, and before I forget... you're playing for this fabulous prize!"

He gestures to a tank of water beside the table. In it, you see a long, blue Pokemon swimming around. It smiles at you.

"Now," Seismitoad says, "take your Lure Balls... your rod... and the boats are on the shore! And with that, the contest is officially underway! Begin!"

The other trainers and their Pokemon hurry and go for the boats.

Sake and Eevee wish you good luck.

    How do you proceed?

Rosalinda uses her powers to sense the lake's depth. She points you right to the center of the lake and you paddle out before casting your line. You don't see any other boats nearby, fortunately.

No sooner do you cast then you feel a tug on your line! Oh my!

let's reel in slowly and try to gauge the weight of the fish. Then I'll slowly gain speed as the fish gets closer.

You reel slowly, but whatever you've hooked doesn't seem to be giving you much resistance. As the fish gets closer, you reel a little faster... and faster... and with one final tug, you pull your catch up out of the water!

Yeah, I think I'm gonna reel medium speed this time. We're beginning to run out of time.

All right Hanzo, do your thing. Teleport the three of us to Ruskie Tundra! Tesla, be on guard when we get there, we don't know what might be nearby when we arrive, and I don't want to get caught off guard.

ugh! this isn't working! send it back. Rosa, I need your help. We need to locate a heavy fish with some really large mass. Is it possible you can try locating a fish with a large mass with your Psychic abilities? if so, we're heading there.

    TEAM RAZOR LEAF'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Ruskie Tundra
This wide expanse of icy land extends as far as the eyes can see. Rolling snow dunes and harsh hailing conditions make it an idea place for Ice Pokemon, and only the sturdiest of winter loving beasts.

    ‡ Round 29 ‡

Hanzo Teleports the three of you to a wide expanse of barren, snowy land. Hail whips against your face and you shield your eyes against the brutal elements. Your Pokemon follow suit. Squinting, you just barely make out four Stantlers trudging through the snow. Not too far off, a Vanillite and a Delibird are doing battle.

    ‡ Round 67 ‡

You reel as hard as you can while getting Rosalinda to keep the line secure with her Psychic powers. It proves to be tremendously difficult and, at one point, your grip slips and the hooked Pokemon begins to swim away. However, you regain command over your fishing rod and reel as hard as you can. At last, you pull your hooked Pokemon out of the water.

It looks to be above-average weight for its species. Plus, its shininess increases its rarity.

oh god. oh god. Really, oslo!? the egg has to hatch now!?

Rosa, we're gonna battle that thing while tending to the egg. Rosa, use psychic to hold it in place, then use thunderbolt!

eggie, hatch fast or take your time, I don't care, but this is really a bad time.

EDIT: just to be clear, I'm gonna be holding onto the egg.

    CYNDER'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Skyline Terrace
A strange town, all within the treetops. Long since abandoned by humans, the MASSIVE amount of Pokemon that live here all seem a bit strange and off kilter. The completely aerial town is connected by boardwalks, and the homes all resemble traditional Japanese style. One would think the townspeople were turned into Pokemon here!

    ‡ Round 26 ‡

Speaking into the transmitter, you ask Steve what the deal is.

"A digital keypad?" he asks. "Hrm. That wasn't there when I went to school. It must be new. Here, let me see if I can patch in... hold on."

You pause for a minute as the voice on the other end of the line goes silent. After a second, it returns.

"Yeah, sorry, Ernesta must have put up a firewall around the door or something to prevent digital intrusion," Steve says. "I'm not sure I can help you."

Floatzel releases herself from the rod and treads water beside your boat, ready to battle. She attacks Rosalinda with a Water Gun, nearly knocking her into the lake. Rosalinda, however, holds onto Floatzel with a Psychic attack and then zaps the yellow Pokemon with a Thunderbolt. Electricity crackles up and down Floatzel's body, inducing immediate Paralysis.

Meanwhile, you hold onto your egg. The shell breaks open and a tiny Pokemon hops out onto your lap.

Steve, do you know if Ernesta liked anything in particular? I know she has an interest in legendaries, did she ever have a favourite or something? I don't wanna break down the door, too conspicuous. Wait, Sababku, can you use Faint Attack to go through the door and retrieve the item?

Don't worry, little guy. You're safe with me... or at least as safe as you can be while we're battling a floatzel.

Alright, Rosa, it's combo time. Use Magical Leaf, and supercharge it with Shock wave!

(By the way, since I hatched an egg, do I automatically get a pokeball for it? or do I have to use one of my own?)

    ‡ Round 27 ‡

Sabaku tries to Faint Attack through the door, but it doesn't work. It seems to be reinforced by more than just steel.

"A favourite?" Steve muses. "Hrm. Yes, actually... man, I forget what it's called. It's, uh... big... y'know... it's got claws... a nasty look about it... rare... er, did I mention big? Wait, let me ask Salvador... okay, yeah, he says he doesn't remember either but he says it's the leader of two other Legendary Pokemon. If that helps."

    How do you proceed?

Scary, claws, leader? Hmm, in that case I'd guess it's Rayquaza? I'll type in 72978292 and try that.

You have to use one of your own, unfortunately. It's technically wild until you catch it, though you wouldn't need to weaken it in battle.

    TEAM BTPOKE'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Ivy Lake
A secluded lake in the middle of the forest, you'll find rare Dragons here, along with all the usual Water types. Rumour has it, that there's a cave hidden underwater...

    ‡ Round 69 ‡

Rosalinda attacks Floatzel with a combination of Shock Wave and Magical Leaf, doing significant damage. As this is going on, Chinchou is still screaming and crying despite your efforts to calm its nerves.

At this point, Floatzel doesn't seem to be able to take the sound of Chinchou's crying anymore. She begins swimming away from that horrible sound... and ends up swimming right into the side of another boat no more than fifteen feet away from yours.

"Oh my!" the fisherman cries from his boat. "A shiny Floatzel! Kingdra, attack it with three Dragon Pulses!"

The fisherman's Kingdra leaps into the water and attacks Floatzel with a barrage of energy-based strikes. Uh-oh.

    How do you proceed?

You enter eight numbers into the keypad in hopes of accessing the room.

    Nothing happens.

rosa, use hypnosis to put chinchou to sleep please. (please make sure you don't hit me).

Hey, buddy! that's mine! Rosa, once you're done with that hypnosis, use psychic to drag floatzel over to here! Then hit it with another electric-charged magical leaf, then I'll throw one of the dive balls.

    ‡ Round 70 ‡

Rosalinda uses Hypnosis to put Chinchou to sleep. The infant's eyes close as it takes a nap.

Meanwhile, the fisherman ignores your pleas and raises a Lure Ball of his own before Rosalinda can strike.

"Lure Ball, go!" he shouts, tossing his ball at Floatzel. Floatzel is contained in the ball, which lands on the edge of his boat.

    Wiggle.

    Wiggle.

    Wiggle.

    Click.

    Your heart sinks.

Suddenly, from the shore, you hear Seismitoad's shout.

"Competitors are reminded that ten minutes remain!" he bellows. "I repeat, ten minutes remain!"

The fisherman blows you a raspberry and begins paddling back to shore.

    How do you proceed?

Damn it, Oslo! you just have to ruin my time! X3

I'm gonna have to yell to Seismitoad and ask him if that was allowed (although I'll have to suspect that it is...)

In the meantime, Rosa, try to locate another heavy pokemon. Then we'll head there. That stupid fisherman won't get the best of us!

Sabaku, keep a lookout and make sure that nobody is coming; you're the smallest. If you hear something let us know, asap. I'll continue to guess the code, so let's try Kyurem - 598736. I'll also try 384 and 646, their dex numbers.

Lol, sorry. I try to get my kicks when I can.

    TEAM BTPOKE'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Ivy Lake
A secluded lake in the middle of the forest, you'll find rare Dragons here, along with all the usual Water types. Rumour has it, that there's a cave hidden underwater...

    ‡ Round 71 ‡

You call out at Seismitoad and cry for leniency.

"All captures are final!" he bellows back. "If your catch gets away from you and someone else intervenes, that's your problem, not theirs."

Using her Psychic skills, Rosalinda leads you to a spot in the water far from where you were, because all the shouting you've been doing has scared everyone away. You drop your line, get a quick bite... but it immediately swims away.

You drop your line again and, after a minute, you hook something. Joy.

    How do you proceed?

    > Reel quickly

Let's reel normally this time. Hopefully we can get lucky...
