Okay, I've emailed the video message of congratulations to both Brian and Becky and I guess there IS a chance of them seeing it since the wedding ceremony and reception aren't until 6pm and by my calculations it's around 12pm.

Having said that, I'm sure things are already hectic - but if you guys (Jeff, Brandy, Matt or Gabi) happen to see them in a non-hectic setting before the wedding (or at the reception), could you pass on mine and Cadmus' best wishes and congratulations and just let them know I've sent them a video? That'd be grouse.

At this point, Gavin, I'm pretty sure Brian and Becky are tied up in several double-knots regarding their itinerary - reading through a copy of it, it appears the whole day's to be far more hectic for them than for us - but we'll let them know you've sent the video, at the very least. No way we're not going to get to talk to them at the reception.

It was a beautiful wedding! I was very glad to be a part of it. Both Brian and Becky's families are full of wonderful people, but that ought to be no surprise, given that their family here is also full of wonderful people. I know a description of the venue hardly does it justice, nor would an attempt to describe the ceremony and festivities, but I may give it a shot later on (when it isn't midnight). Jeff, Brandy, and Gabi will probably want to offer up some input, as well.

It was beautiful, and they are such a beautiful couple, you can feel the love :') got teary eyed on more than one occasion...and also wow everyone is so amazing on the dance floor!
The only thing that will do it justice are pics lol many many congrats and much love to mr and mrs pikachu, and I know their lives will be filled with happiness and love forever :3

Yes, they're such a lovely couple! And we had a TPM table! And the wedding was held at a library, which is amazing by itself. But not only that: there was an Electrike on the stairs! I will allow someone else to elaborate on that, but expect many photos later this week. ^_^

It was all really fun, I'm sorry that I have to leave so soon, but I'm glad I'll be able to attend the brunch and see them one more time before I leave. I hope they can visit me in Argentina someday. Same goes for the rest of you.

Yes, we had a great time. And the brunch was also great! And I finally got the chance to talk to Brian about Pokemon Hangman.

Brandy and Jeff have just left and I'm already missing them. I hope they have a safe trip home. I'm waiting for the shuttle that will take me back to the airport. It's been a short trip for such a long journey, but now I'm full of sweet memories and I'm really glad I came here!

MOST phenomenal. And I'll do my best to provide better verbal description, although the pictures to follow will probably be worth a lot more than what I can say. Gorgeous ceremony, gorgeous couple. We just got home from the trip ourselves and we're coming down off the travel high.

As an aside, I'll get to explaining the Electrike on the floor (also got pics of that) later, but anyone who reads this will probably chuckle when I say I've been tasked by Brandy to write a fanfic based (LOOSELY) on both that and the events we were lucky enough to be able to attend. (Maybe it can be a TPM gift for Brian and Becky when they get back from the honeymoon.)

YAY!!! I'm glad you made it back safe! 100% chance of rain lol It actually was pouring down when we got in, and a thunderstorm that was crashing RIGHT ABOVE US!!!

As for the Snivy, well his parents hated each other so he had a hard upbringing lol When your mom is a giant plant snake and your dad is a pink deer its kinda hard to learn good moves XD

I'd have taken a video of the dance floor but it didn't occur to me. And if anyone had aimed one at me, I don't think I'd have approved... it's my impression that neither Jeff nor I have any dance skills at all. But I'd say Asi, Gabi, and Celine more than made up for it. So did Brian, for that matter! What a ham on the floor, but it was his night, after all. He really laid the moves down, as evidenced by a couple of Gabi's pics.

And now, ladies and gentlemen, for the tale of the Electrike on the floor:

When Celine and I arrived at the venue (the Indianapolis Central Library), I was directed to the room where the groom and his attendants were seated and patiently, if anxiously, waiting for instructions (I had the honor of being an usher). She waited out in the hallway, which had two series of stairs leading towards the Simon Reading Room, in which the ceremony itself was to take place an hour later. While she waited, Celine abruptly realized she still had my cufflinks in her purse - we had never quite figured out how to mount them, and our idea had been to ask one of the wedding planners upon arrival, but that plan never quite came to fruition. She came into the room to remind me of the cufflinks, but the other usher remarked that he didn't have his either, so it was determined that as long as we matched, it was a tertiary detail at best.

When she went back out into the hallway and ascended the stairs toward the entrance, she noticed that on the second set of stairs, one wide marble panel bore a striking mark. When she inspected it more closely, she was shocked to realize the mark was in virtually the exact shape of an Electrike's side profile.

Now, I want to make it abundantly clear here: if it had been a blob that maybe, possibly, at a stretch, could have been perceived as an Electrike if you put some thought into it, that would have been a different matter, and she might have mentioned it to me as an aside on the car ride back home. But this image left, really, very little room for imagination, if you know what an Electrike looks like. There was no mistake about it, this was an Electrike silhouette on the floor.

After the ceremony, Celine gushed about this Electrike silhouette to me, and I promised we'd go see it a bit later. We waited until after dinner, when the dance floor was open and guests were either rocking out or eating cake - during which time, she also mentioned it to Brandy, Gabi, and Jeff. Eventually, the five of us went to inspect this odd occurrence. When Celine pointed it out, we were flabbergasted to discover she hadn't been exaggerating. It elicited a lot of laughter, and both Celine and Gabi got out their cameras to take pictures. We all put one foot up next to it in some silly parody of Electrike Hokey-Pokey, and got a couple pics of that, too (as you no doubt have probably already seen, thanks to Gabi's incredible promptness!).

When we came back out to the atrium / dinner hall, of course there was still lots of dancing and cake-eating happening. Brian found his way over to us within the next ten minutes or so, and remarked he'd seen us all walk out and fretted that we might've been leaving entirely! We assured him no such thing was happening, and filled him in on the details. He laughed and said that in that case, the venue could not have been more appropriate. Puns ensued, as well... I believe it was remarked that somebody ought to get on the dance floor and do the Electrike Slide. We threw out suggestions to each other for a decidedly Pokémon-themed wedding.

As the evening went on, Brandy noted that as the writer, it should be my task to pen a tale of the Electrike in the floor. At first I just chuckled, because I wasn't sure whether she was kidding (though I doubted she was), or whether I was willing / able to undertake another story when I've already got some posted here that I've not worked on in some time (but it turns out I am). And in spite of my uncertainty, I couldn't help but start thinking about it, silly as it was to consider at the time.

I've been going over a number of iterations - a Sword in the Stone parody came to mind, among others - and I think I've got a basic concept down now. Normally it might be a while before anything substantive hits the site, but I've a mind to try and get some material up within the next couple weeks, a belated gift for the happy couple.
