    Default Youngblood Battle in the Street: Gigya vs Oslo Ref: DarkestLight

    So... Just recently joined and I want to get my hands dirty with a battle.
    Hopefully I won't screw up too much...
    So... It's a 2v2 with 1 at a time... I'd like to keep it a bit short.
    The opponent can feel free to go first.
    I like abilities.
    The arena would be in the middle of a rarely used street. A bit bigger than an alley, but kinda acts as one. Cars still go through, on occasions.
    Anyone interested?

    I'll take you on if that's alright. I'll battle using unevolved Pokemon.

    And I'll start with...

    Furious Bacon, my female Tepig with Blaze!

    Which means you send and then attack.

    Okay...
    I guess I could start with Cinamon, my Buneary♀ with Klutz.

    Then attack...?
    Should start with the basics I guess... Speed up a bit with Agility, wait a bit to read the opponents movements and trajectory with Foresight, then zip in and Quickly Attack

    Then we wait for a ref?

    Start with Yawn! Then use Curse followed by Superpower.

    And yes, now is when we shoot puppydog eyes at the refs.

    Like that, I guess.

    Told you I'd post. Battle battle battle!

    'nother one for the record books!

    ===Stipulations===

    2 vs. 2 (Singles)
    Banned moves: N/A
    Arena: The arena would be in the middle of a rarely used street. A bit bigger than an alley, but kinda acts as one. Cars still go through, on occasions.

    ===Battlers===

    ===Round 1===

    Yeah, the streets. S'what I'm talking about. Get my hoodie up and my Skittles in my pocket (too soon?) and I'm ready to do this. Yeah yeah. Let Geese try to stop me, I got my parkour skills right'ere.

    And yeah, over in this al-what the? Seems I can't even be street, without having to ref. Sa'lright. Right now the block is quiet, except for Oslo starting beef with Gigya. Gigya and his rabbit aint having it though, and the bunny bounces around the alley, getting used to her surroundings.

    This fool Oslo comes out with a pig, G! Like..straight oink Oink bacon burger barnburner pig. And the pig tries to be all fierce and hard but when was teh last time you took a sow seriously? And she holds true to form, Yawning away. Though Cinnamon, she didn't like that too much.

    C: -3E +2Spd Drw ~~ FB: -2E

    When you are momentumally challenged and suddenly have a boost in speed, that makes thing difficult. Especially if yer a flat footed hare. Cinnamon went for a little tumble, falling all across herself. Looked like a hot mess without a dress. Baconator over here squeals like Maxwell and ...stands there. WEIRD PIG. W-E-I-R-D.

    C: x_x Slp ~~ FB: -3E +Atk/Def, -Spd

    Cinnamon stayed down. Guess the yawn did work after all. While she sleeps on the streets, Baconblast waddles over and snorts in her face. Nothing. She smiles and opens her mouth, releasing a joyous squeal only Babe could love, before hopping and headbutting and beating Cinnamon's poor frial rabbit body into the asphalt.

    I had to break it up before a curbstomp occurred...

    Oh snap!

    Lessee, Bacon... start with Will-O-Wisp. Then Magnitude. Then... Flamethrower!

    EDIT: Also, Furious Bacon is shiny. Forgot to mention that.

    ...Gah!
    When (and maybe if) Cinamon wakes up, I'll have her go for Entrainment!
    If she has time to do anything else after that, go for Quick Attack to try and get out of that Magnitude or Flamethrower, and maybe finish with a Baton Pass into Absol!

    Myeh?
    Oh... I missed that during my first read.
    Well, if I'm able to change, then Sleep Talkx3. If Cinamon ever wakes up, sub Entrainment then Quick Attack then Baton Pass.
    If I can't change it up, then my initial list of actions.

    Generally you can't change commands once they've been entered, but you're new so I'd be an awful person not to give you a mulligan. Good call with Entrainment.

    Oslo... Stop rapeing the newbies and teach them how to do things!!!

    Gigya, in future, when your pokemon is asleep, you can use what we call a 'sub' to have backup moves. An example here would be:

    Sleep talk till you wake up, then X Y Z.

    Or

    Use X Y Z, if asleep, then use Sleep talk / Snore.

    BT, I already figured I was in some trouble when I found out Oslo was a gym leader (which I didn't know when the battle began).
    If he's really that bad, I guess I'll just have to try harder...

    hey, I started out the same way. I didn't realize Oslo was a Gym Leader until it was too late. Now Oslo has claimed another victim.

    Although I did come pretty close to winning that battle. You could have a chance in this.

    I really enjoyed my first months at ASB. Those first few battles I lost through my own actions helped me way more than any mentor ever could.

    Gigya is doing a fine job, but of course if you do have any questions feel free to ask and I can help clarify things for you. And I promise I probably won't give you bad advice to better my chances at winning.

    Wow this is round 2? LOL

    'nother one for the record books!

    Arena: The arena would be in the middle of a rarely used street. A bit bigger than an alley, but kinda acts as one. Cars still go through, on occasions.

    ===Round 2===

    As we continue to set up and break down shop in this alley, things look bad for the clumsy wabbit. She sleeps soundly, and this firemashal pig decides to set her widdle creampuff tail on fire. Mad sinister yo.

    Knee jerk reaction to being set on fire? Jump kick of course(what the hell?)

    I seriously..never seen Jump Kick used until now. Weeeeird. (-1)

    C: -4E Brn~~ FB: -2E/-11H

    The pig is just as confused as I am over being kicked like that. But it doesn't stop him from laying down the law. Stamping his hoovish like feet, he forces the property value to sink...a little.

    But it's enough to cause the rabbit to stir once more. She whips her ears back and forth, and does a little dance..and it's all very Charming really...(-1)

    C: -4E/-5H ~~ FB: -6E -2Atk

    Cinnamon aint doing too bad right now, actually. But Crispy over here is not done. He switches gears and releases his own flame broiled goodness-a superheated flame that aggravates the burn and wakes her right up! She yelps in pain and dashes around, trying to put the fire out. Her dash runs her back to Gigya and she throws another Pokeball out instead!

    Out pops a very confused Absol. A confused and burned Absol...(-1)

    Uhhh Oh. Cinnamon is on 58/85 and will remain that level until recalled out.

    For the record
    Kitus, Absol♀ with Pressure.
    Sorry for the burn, Kitus!
    Also, did the Agility fade on Cinamon? If it didn't, it should have been carried on the baton pass I think...

    Go for Perish Song, then a Future Sight. Finally, Double Team.
    Sorry for the Perish Song, too... Just trust me!

    The first time the Tepig opens its mouth, sub that round (the would-be attack) with a Detect! If it tries opening its mouth again, after that, sub that round with a Quick Attack to try and keep it closed! If it tries to switch out in anyway, use a Pursuit or Mean Look! It's your choice as repayment for the perish song!

    Whew. Hope that's not too much subbing.

    he probably intended the first taunt to provoke the detect instead of perish song. then he used taunt again to provoke quick attack and to finally get his taunt in so you wont be able to use double team. Please note that taunting requires opening the mouth.

    Kitus takes a good look at her surroundings. Slightly intimidating....dark edgy feel, like "you're in the wrong neighborhood" kinda vibe! Still, being burned does not make up for the speed she now inherited, nor does it help against that slanderous pig. Deaf ears, fatty, deaf ears.(-1)

    K: -2E~~ FB: -4E

    Gawd, that pig just doesn't shut up about how it's fitting a dark Pokemon likes hanging out in alleys at night, wandering the streets. This time, it stings and Kitus growls. She relinquishes reason and dashes at the Tepid, slashing his face with a well aimed attack!(-1)

    K: -4E Taunted~~ FB: -4E/-6H

    Furious fumes after being hit, and decides to amp up the heat even more a bright light shines out from the pig, before it belches out a massive Blast of fire. Kitus however, was already bouncing from wall to wall with rage, and dove at the wall of fire headed her way. She made it through, but that really didn't help her.(-1)

Furious doesn't regard the sneer, and instead lights Kitus on fire. Just like that. A little outrageous, I mean, who just stands in a fire and not be a one-winged angel(-1)

    K: -7E/-12H ~~ FB: -9E FS...

    But no, Kitus keeps battling and battering! Even as the alley's weeds reach up and pull at her toenails (ow?) Kitus looks up. Though narrow, the wish for the world to answer her cry for help was answered with a powerful surge of electricity(-1). Bacon squealed, and hrm, maybe some pork rinds....

    K: -10E/-8H ~~ FB: -7E/-15H

    Furious paced around, shaking off the attack and continued with the now tiring Flamethrower(-1). Kitus winced as she jumped away, and began to howl ominously. It was a strange lullaby and headphones go on...now!

    Got it off! Nice one, Kitus!
    Not much you can do here except setup for Cinamon, now! Go for a Mean Lookx3!
    If any of the Mean Looks hit, sub for a Rain Dance followed by a Stone Edge!

    Hrm. Methinks three rounds is enough time.

    Furious Bacon, begin with Fire Blast. Then, wait for Kitus to use Rain Dance, and follow it with a Sunny Day. Follow with another Fire Blast.

    'nother one for the record books!

    ===Stipulations===

    2 vs. 2 (Singles)
    Banned moves: N/A
    Arena: The arena would be in the middle of a rarely used street. A bit bigger than an alley, but kinda acts as one. Cars still go through, on occasions.

    ===Round 5===

    Kitus smirks from the praise given by his trainer, and tries to continue the rally of positivity! Odd though, he glares Furious down, right as Furious showers him with a fiery appreciation of his own. Man, Kitus gonna be blacker than Charlie Murphy when this is all said and done. (-1)

    K: -2E/-15H ~~ FB: -11E No fleeing

    Bacon squeals, and then stops in place. Kitus smirks, thinking the Mean Look from earlier finally registered with the slow porker. Not...exactly. As the wolf danced, the pig did its exact motions backwards. So, for a momehtere it looked like rain...only to turn into sun. That's quite the talented pig there.

    K: -4E ~~ FB: -6E
    Sun: 7 act

    Not WORKING! Nothing seemed to be working! Kitus stamped his paw against the alleyway ground, and hissed. The hiss seemed to attain a roar of its own, and Furious noted the new halo the Absol attained around its body.

    No matter. A strong smashing should put it down and out! She squealed and charged, just as Kitus turned around. Oh hell no! He jumped up and to the right, while Furious skidded to a stop and let loose her fiery rage...all over a 2008 Pontiac GT.

    Kitus played it smart, even though it resulted in a miss for the Stone Edge. Let the pig deal with the angry driver....which wasn't pretty. The burly fellow stepped out of his car and walked over to the Tepig, who now tried to back away slowly. The man took a step back -and then three steps forward. His last step turned into a momentous swing and kicked the pig right into the dumpster!

    Hrm, I think Kitus may have foresaw this...

    That strange song rang through each of their minds, a constant reminder of finality.
