    Default RL vs Eragam (ref:BTPoke)

I guess that, now that i'm an official ref, I'll also ref one of the new arenas from the arena dex:

    De-Generator

This ability can be any of the abilities released so far, even abilities exclusive to legendary and banned pokémon.

I'll use Slothella my female slowpoke with regenerator. Yawn, zen headbutt, psychic. If he protects, use amnesia and if tries to boost his own stats, use psych up. If he tries any status inflicting move, use me first(but only if it works)

    Round 1

Heeeey everybody it's chuggaaconroy! Welcome to this fine pokemon battle between Razor Leaf and Eragam! Our battlers are all rearing to go, so let's start the action!
Razor Leaf releases first, bringing out an adorable little azurill named Curacao, while Eragam chooses a cute little slowpoke named Slothella.
Now that the battlers have chosen their pokemon, let's begin with a little twist.
Due to the nature of this field, every three rounds (including the very first round), the special ability of both pokemon will be changed so that both pokemon will have the same random ability! My RNG is all set, so let's begin this battle! out of 164 abilities, the first ability chosen is...
Analytic! This ability strengthens the moves of the pokemon that goes last each turn! Do I sense a slight advantage for slothella this time around? Without further adieu, let's get to it!

    Ability #148 (rounds 1-3): Analytic
This ability strengthens the power of a move if it is used last in a turn.

Curacao, being the slightly speedier of the two, opens up by just standing completely still. What's wrong, Curacao? Slowpoke got your tongue? Anyway, slothella takes her time laying down on the ground, opening her mouth, and releasing a pink bubble from her mouth. Eww, that better not be what I think it is. The bubble slowly inches its way toward the little azurill, but she does absolutely nothing as the bubble pops in her face. Yet, the bubble doesn't seem to faze her. Although now that I think of it, she does look a tad smaller than normal...

    [Curacao: -5% health; -5% energy ¦ Slothella: -2% energy]

Slothella continues by charging up a Zen headbutt. Then, as Slothella gets her move ready, She's blind-sided in the side by a blue... ball? The ball bounces off of the slowpoke and starts rolling around in a circle. Slothella pays the ball no mind and charges... extremely slowly... at Curacao, her head glowing with an aura of psychic energy. As soon as Slothella's head connects with Curacao's, however, Curacao disappears in... white smoke? And she's replaced with a log with a blue ball attached to it? Ok, what the heck is going on!? Wait a second... I see what's happened here. Curacao used substitute, and that blue ball that's spinning around in a circle is her! We got some ninja-type stuff going on up here!
    [Slothella: -6% Health; -5% energy ¦ Curacao: -5 energy]

Gotta say, Curacao did some impressive stuff, just now. Now she's getting even faster as she hits Slothella once more. Only this time, our little slowpoke has been analyzing the little azurill's movements. She grasps out with her psychic powers to stop Curacao in her tracks, pick her up, and slam her into the ground! That had to sting. No more rolling around for her.
    [Slothella: -9% health; -9% energy ¦ Curacao: -14% health; -9% energy]

    NO REGULAR C!

Ahem. How does Analytic work exactly? The last attack we use is increased by 5? Shouldn't the last rollout have been more then just a 3% increase in that case?

    Anyway..

After that Psychic, how harsh, try some Fake Tears, then lets see how your Hidden Power turn out and finish with Body Slam

actually, the last attack used each turn is increased by 5 (I chose 5 because it seemed like a decent number to increase damage by). So since slothella's zen headbutt and psychic were both last to be used in both their respective turns, their powers were increase by 5

I guess I should've done something better to sort of "highlight" the ability changing.

EDIT: ok, I changed it so that the ability change is highlighted a bit more.

    Round 2

Our cute little Azurill starts out the round by... Crying? umm, can someone find this little girl's mom? Slothella, being the slowpoke (hehe) that it is, seems rather slow to see that her opponent is bawling its eyes out, and continues to shoot a blue spark of electricity at her opponent, locking up Curacao's muscles. That doesn't stop her from crying, oh no. If anything, she starts crying at a higher intensity. Only now, Slothella seems to realize that her opponent is crying, and goes over to comfort her, pat her back, tell her it'll be alright, leave herself open for attack, the usual stuff.
[Curacao: Paralyzed; -2 energy ¦ Slothella: -2 Sp. Def; -4 energy]

Ugh, that crying is getting on my nerves. Curacao keeps on bawling as Slothella keeps comforting her. All of a sudden, the little azurill actually stops crying. Wait, she actually has kind of an evil look in her eyes as she begins charging up a hidden power! That paralysis must've really slown her down, though, 'cause even slothella sees what's happening. She quickly (for her species, anyway) throws up a light screen, shielding her from the brunt of what would've been a rather weak fighting type hidden power, even with the weakened defenses. Bad luck on that one. But Azurill begins to analyze the light screen for any weak points in it, and finds the point where there might be the highest output of damage, at which point she fires the hidden power at that point, doing more damage than she would've otherwise.
[Curacao: -6 energy ¦ Slothella: Light Screen for 5 turns; -4 health; -5 energy]

After that pitiful hidden power at the hands of light screen, Curacao, the little bugger, sets off to bounce up into the air, but not before Slothella, speedy slowpoke that it is, fires off a beam of scalding hot water at her. Thankfully she bounces out of it, or else she would've been burned pretty badly. Anyway, the little Azurill has bounced into the air, and she tries to perform a killer body slam to pin her opponent. And it would... if only Azurill wasn't such a light pokemon. However, she does take the time while in the air to contemplate the maximum output of damage. She takes the opportunity to see where her opponent's weak points were. She adjusts her body in midair so that her tail was underneath her. She slams her tail into the small of Slothella's back... and wow. That azurill must be packing in the pounds, because Slothella has taken quite a hit, here.
[Curacao: -6 health ; -3 energy ¦ Slothella: Light Screen for 4 more turns; -5 health; -4 energy]

    Ref notes:
-I've interpreted that light screen halves the power of incoming special moves after calculation of effects that might've played out before the move actually hits, so Hidden power would've done 3 damage originally, but with the increase of 5 due to analytic and the halving brought on by light screen, the move comes out to do 4 damage. Hope that makes sense.
-Analytic increases the power of the move last used each turn by 5.
-Those victim under Paralysis have a 25% decrease in speed and a 25% chance each turn to be unable to attack due to being fully paralyzed.
-lol, seems like a pretty even matchup xD

    Round 3
    Last turn for Analytic!
(as if it matters, nothing really happens this round anyway xD)

Slothella starts out the round with using amnesia to get her opponent to forget what they were about to do, but since Curacao wasn't going to do anything anyway, the action really loses its meaning (you know, I was just thinking about "the lazy song." how weird is that?)
[Curacao: +6 energy ¦ Slothella: Light Screen for 3 more turns; -3 energy]

After that Very unproductive round, Slothella starts off this next turn by summoning an invisible wall of light, predicting an attack. The wall is so amazing and invisible, Curacao can't help but clap and demand an encore!
[Curacao: -3 energy ¦ Slothella: Light screen for 2 more turns; Reflect for 5 more turns; Encore!; -5 energy]

Seeing as how she has developed an audience, Slothella decides to please them once more with another usage of the beautifully invisible wall of light. The crowd of one loves it so much that they use refresh to get rid of paralysis to give her a standing ovation! Bravo, Slothella!

BTW, Amnesia makes the pokemon forget how to use a move. That was established really early in the Anime.

Alright, everybody, it's time again for us to choose a new ability! let's roll the RNG and see what we get.

Out of 164 abilities... we get...

    Ability #48: Early Bird
This ability allows the pokemon with this ability to be awakened from sleep quickly.
(oh boy, the stuff that's gonna happen with this one...)

Curacao, being the faster of the two once more, jumps into the air again. She swiftly focuses all her body weight (what little of it she has) into slamming onto slothella with as much force as possible. That, however, is not much, as she's all but stopped by the reflect that surrounds Slothella. Slothella simply reaches over to curacao and shocks her with a blue spark once again, which locks her muscles up again. The light screen that once surrounded Slothella, though, disappears in a flash of light.
[Curacao: Paralyzed; -3 energy ¦ Slothella: Light screen lifted; Reflect for 4 mroe turns; -2 health; -3 energy]

Slothella, being the faster one once again, throws up a quick safeguard to prevent any wrong-doings having to do with status effects. Curacao remembers what her trainer told her to do, but she's helpless as her muscles lock up due to her paralysis.
[Slothella: Sfgd; reflect for 3 more turns; -4 energy]

Slothella continues the battle by doing what it does best: yawn. Only this yawn isn't to put our favorite azurill to sleep. It's a high-volume yawn that dangerously shakes the platform, and Azurill gets knocked all over the place by the tremors. As the tremors stop, Azurill gets her next attack ready. She calls upon the secret forces of the environment, and since this is a plain old ancient arena, ethereal arrows appears out of thin air, shooting toward all of slothella's major joints. The reflect that slothella has slows them down quite a bit, but they all hit their mark. This causes them to lock up, paralyzing her, and making her the slower of the two once more, but the safeguard swiftly removes the paralysis.
[Curacao: -8 health; -4 energy ¦ Slothella: reflect for 2 more turns; -3 health; -6 energy]

I`m pretty lazy so lets just span Ice beam. If it protects or tries to somehow dodge, switch to Future sight.

    Ice Beam x3

    Round 5

Slothella is probably having fun being the faster of the two once more, as she shoots off an ice beam that hits Curacao-not exactly enough to freeze her-as she is preparing a substitute, which she creates shortly after being hit before disappearing. Slothella, however, is oblivious to the fact that a substitute has been made.
    [Curacao:-8% health; -10% health; -5 energy; Substitute: 10 health ¦ Slothella: -6% energy]

Slothella continues her ice beam assault on the substitute, bringing it on the verge of collapse, while Curacao merely sits in the shadows, refreshing her paralysis away. so yeah, nothing much happening here.
[Curacao: -4% energy; paralysis; Substitute: 1% health ¦ Slothella: -7 energy]

Slothella keeps on attacking that substitute while curacao sneaks out of the shadows to creep up behind Slothella. Once the substitute is done for and has collapsed into a pile of frozen-solid wood, Slothella realizes her mistake too late as Curacao spits a wad of toxic material at her back, Badly poisoning her.
[Curacao: -5% energy; substitute ¦ Slothella: -6 energy; Badly Poisoned]

And the fun really begins as Slothella takes that first hit of the poison.

    Last Round For Early Bird
    (as if it matters)

The speed advantage is just going back and forth between these two, and it's probably not going to stop until one of them drops. Curacao is now free of paralysis, and celebrates it by slamming his little body down on slothella once more, but she's quickly shaken off. Really, those body slams are starting to border on the line of "Pointless." Slothella takes her sweet time forming a reflect around herself while she takes a bite of that sweet, sweet poison.
[Curacao: -2 energy ¦ Slothella: Reflect for 5 turns; -4 health; -1 health (poison); -4 energy]

Curacao does a little reckless move by charging straight at Slothella straight on in a rage! Slothella seems to care little about the threat rushing towards her, and her eyes flash red as she goes into a fit of rage as well! Curacao, fueled with determination, and Slothella, fueled by poisoned rage, go at each other and collide in a spectacular head-on collision that somehow results in an explosion. Once the smoke clears, it seems that the little azurill has taken a larger hit. Due to Slothella's reflect, she doesn't seem to have taken nearly as much damage as what would be expected. Then again, she does take some more hits from poison, but that's beside the point.
[Curacao: -11 health; -8 energy ¦ Slothella: Reflect for 4 turns; -5 health; -1 health (poison) -9 energy]

Curacao's next trick involves him rolling into a ball for a Rollout attack. She gets right to it and speeds off toward Slothella. However, Slothella slams her feet into the ground powerfully to get the earth shaking, and that seems to throw Curacao's aim off a teeny bit, which is just enough for Curacao to only bump her opponent in the side, which is further reduced by the Reflect. The earthquake does, however, make her course go off enough that she rolls into a nearby rock that mysteriously appeared, probably by the earthquake (or maybe the arena's messing with ya). Slothella then takes another hit from the poison, only this time it's increased in intensity. Yeah, you should probably get that checked out. She's looking a bit tired, too.
[Curacao: -9 health; -2 energy ¦ Slothella: Reflect for 3 turns; -2 health; -2 health (Poison); -7 energy]

Alright, it's time again for a new ability to be played! out of 164 abilities, the ability we get is...
Ability #13 (boy, isn't that lucky?): Cloud nine
This ability dispels all weather effects, making it clear as, well, day. Not that we need this, anyway.

Curacao really doesn't like getting beat around so much, but the nice day that just appeared for no apparent reason kind of lightened her spirits, and she's determined to win this battle. Fueled by those positive feelings, the azurill charges (or at least waddles really fast) at slothella. Slothella, meanwhile, Charges (or at least walks fast-ish) at Curacao. They go at each other slower than any other pokemon could possibly go. Once they reach each other, they go at it punching, kicking, and even biting, determined to win this battle. However, once the fighting ends, slowpoke begins staring into the heavens, apparently predicting something. Those attacks took a lot of energy out of Slothella, though, and she's starting to suffer from it. The poison also pitches in for some pain.
[Curacao: future sighted (2 more turns); -7% energy; -10% health ¦ Slothella: -5% health; -6% energy; -3% health (fatigue); -2% health (poison); Reflect (2 more turns)]

Once they rest for all of 2 seconds, the pokemon go at each other once more. They seem to be almost evenly-matched. Curacao, fueled by her desire to win. Slothella, fueled by her fury of poison. Who will rise victorious? As the fighting quells once more, both pokemon appear out of the tussle even more exhausted than before. What's this fight even about, anyway? Family Issues? Stolen Food? Bitter Trainers? No one can say for sure, but this stage of the fight is almost at an end. Slothella gets hurt once more from the poison and exertion.
[Curacao: -7% energy; -10% health; (future sight 1 more turn) ¦ -5% health; -4% health (fatigue); -2% health (poison); Reflect (1 more turn)]

This next time around, Slothella gets to rest for a few seconds at best before
Curacao comes in, slowly, tiredly, tears in her eyes, trying her best to beat Slothella senseless with her mad desire to win. What's the point, anyway? These are cute, little pokemon. Why do we force them to fight? It all seems so pointless... Anyway, Slothella is trying to take this abuse as best she can, when a thunderous roar shakes the air, as a ball of psychic energy materializes out of thin air and strikes Curacao down, all but finishing her off. She tries to get back up, but can barely muster up the energy to do so. She looks so sad, with little tears in her eyes, as she puts on her best determined look in the face of this adversity. Slothella once more takes a hit from the poison, but it once again increases in intensity, only making her pain worse. Doesn't help that her reflect goes away as well. Our little fighters are at the end of their ropes. Battles can be oh so so cruel...
[Curacao: -8% health; -6% energy ¦ Slothella: -4% energy; -3% health (poison); Reflect wore off]
