I just might! I've been reading it over, it looks fun, and just maybe I can find some inspiration there, which in my experience is never a bad thing.

In this particular case, it was our job as ushers to ask if guests were being seated groom-side or bride-side, and then either escort them to open seats, or direct them to the side they were intended for. I say "either" because although we offered escorting, we didn't do it all that much - guests would just sort of charge ahead to their seats. Plus, no one seemed to know exactly which side they were supposed to be on, and nobody had a list on hand to tell us at the time! (Lists had been distributed the previous day, but apparently none made it to the event.)

Also, we escorted the bride's and groom's parents up the aisle to their seats when the procession began. As silly as it might sound, that was when I was the most worried as to whether I was doing it right! Nobody's come along to assassinate me for it, so I might be safe... but the honeymoon isn't over yet...

Hi all! We arrived late Tuesday evening, and have been recovering from jet lag ever since. Brian's been catching up on his e-mail, and I'm back to the dissertation grind.

First of all, thank you SO much to Matt, Celine, Gabi, Brandy, and Jeff for making it. You guys really helped make our day special. And thanks Matt, for being a great usher, too! I won't have photographs for several more weeks is my guess, but I'll be sure to upload them to flickr and share the link with everyone.

Gavin, we got your video, we didn't see it until now (I know, we're late!). Indeed, the whole wedding day was really hectic. I still had my phone on me that day, but didn't get to check it once. But we knew you sent it and were really touched. I can't express how lucky we are to have support from such an amazing group of people.

Photos from Jamaica coming soon! Sad moment: I saw a plush in a store of what looked like a Pikachu, ran up to it and sadly saw the label "Pokyman" and a strange mouth on Pikachu. I saw the same plush everywhere...shame there wasn't an officially licensed product. A Pikachu with a Jamaica shirt would have been really cute. Nonetheless, it was a great time.

Welcome back!!! I can't congratulate you guys enough and it was such a beautiful wedding, both of you looked amazing and the venue was perfect! It was so much fun too
