Default \m/ I challenge Cross Poison \m/ Ref please.

    3 vs. 3
    One out at a time
    No Damage Cap
    Arena: Heavy Metal Festival Arena

I'm tempted to make some special rules this time. Are these rules OK?

Each Pokemon will carry a musical instrument plus a microphone set while battling. As you send out a Pokemon, you'll have to specify which instrument he or she is playing.

I'm suggesting some moves might have small side effects because this is also a Heavy Metal musical performance at the same time. Here I open a short discussion on which moves might have these interesting additional effects. Any ideas?

Also, each turn, we are able to decribe what kind of melody, comp, solo, voice or anything the Pokemon will play or sing while using the selected three moves. Yes, the move Sing has its normal effect, but consider the Pokemon can 'sing' all the time, as a part of the show, too, so we have to tell whether or not it's a battle move when a Pokemon sings.

Both of us battlers and why not the ref too, can post themes.

    First theme:

The ref will flip a coin and decide who sends out first. Anyhow, the battle won't start until we have agreed on the rules and the possible moves that have additional effects.

How could I actually refuse this? I accept your challenge. How about when a Pokemon plays a riff or solo, it has a 1/15 chance to up a stat depending on the instrument; ie. Elec. Guitar - Attack or Sp. Attack
Bass Guitar - Sp. Defence or Defence
    Drums - Speed

Oh, and my theme will be... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wp_Now6WDRc

Would pick a Maiden theme (They're my favourite band) but thought I'd go for a Prog Metal sound.

"What's the difference between a king and his horse? I don't mean kiddy crap like "One's a person and one's an animal." If their ability and power were exactly the same, why is it that one becomes the king and controls the battle, while the other becomes the horse and carries the king?! There's only one answer. Instinct!"

Sounds like a good idea. What comes to the difference in the outcome of certain Pokemon moves, I just figured out we must not have too complex rules, however, because if we do, we might have difficulties in finding a ref. But if a ref agrees with our rules, that's fine.

I think the theme can change anytime and it doesn't even have to involve the instrument your current Pokemon has. And you probably know a Heavy Metal piece can have a vast variety of instruments, even violins, or anything, limited by our imagination only.

String instruments: Attk or Sp. Attk/Def or Sp. Def
    Precussion: Speed.

That said, I think a better and more simple idea would be that no matter the instrument there's a 1/15 chance a random stat will increase. Kinda makes the instrument idea redundant but what do you think?

I say we let the ref decide. Even if the instrument idea becomes redundant, I think we can choose the instrument and the method for fun only.
