Salvadore, could you sketch us up a disguise like you did earlier? We could pose as something else commonly seen around the plant.

Hey Klang, I'm giving (whatever Salvadore's disguised as) a tour around the plant because he's new here. Do you have any idea what the fastest way to tour the entire plant and generator would be?

    CYNDER'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Skyline Terrace
A strange town, all within the treetops. Long since abandoned by humans, the MASSIVE amount of Pokemon that live here all seem a bit strange and off kilter. The completely aerial town is connected by boardwalks, and the homes all resemble traditional Japanese style. One would think the townspeople were turned into Pokemon here!

    ‡ Round 170 ‡

Salvador Sketches disguises for you. With a few whips of his paint-covered tail, he transforms you into a Klang, Sabaku into a Klink and himself into a Swoobat. You approach the three gear Pokemon who are conversing anxiously. They turn to look at you.

"A tour," the first of the Klangs says flatly. "You're giving a tour now? When we're on lockdown? Listen, tell your guest he'll have to reschedule. We have work to do. Generator I is on the brink of a meltdown and we're looking at these schematics trying to figure out how to set it right. It can't take the strain of having to maintain the Citywide Security Field. It's going to blow and wipe out half the city if we can't do something. We need to get down there fast. C'mon! Let's move!"

    How do you proceed?

A generator is out already? This is not good news at all, but it's a wonderful way to show Klink how well we deal with a crisis!

I'll follow the Klangs to the generator.

    ‡ Round 171 ‡

The Klangs order Salvadore to stay in the lobby as they lead you and Sabaku deep into the power plant where Generator I is located. They guide you into a colossal room filled with steam and the sound of a blaring siren. Sundry Klinks, Klangs, Volbeats and Illumises are scurrying about rampantly. They all look extremely panicked.

In the middle of the room is a massive, red-hot generator that's rumbling noticeably and not too far away from it you see a set of buttons and switches. Two of the Klinks are examining the switches while simultaneously consulting a set of instructions. They seem unsure what to do.

"If we weren't all temporary workers hired by Mayor Ambipom to help with the Citywide Security Field project, maybe we'd have some idea what the heck is going on!" the shiny Klink exclaims. "There has to be some way to turn this thing off! Let's hope Generator II doesn't start going haywire as well."

    How do you proceed?

I'll read the health and safety part of the manual to see if there's any way to shut the generator down in the case of an emergency.

    ‡ Round 172 ‡

You snatch the manual away from the Klinks (because let's face it, they weren't gonna figure this out anyway) and begin looking through it. Flicking to the back, you search for some indication of what to do. At last, you see it:

Manual shutdown can be triggered from the base of the control pad.

Glancing downward, you see a large switch inside a clear plastic case near the ground. It looks pretty rusted.

I'll press the button, and if it's actually rusted shut I'll have Sabaku discretely use Rock Smash to break open the switch and then press it.

    ‡ Round 173 ‡

It takes quite a bit of effort on your part, but you manage to pry open the casing and throw the switch. Suddenly, a mechanical voice sounds over a loudspeaker.

"Generator I temperature far exceeds safe parameters. Manual shutdown disabled."

The other Pokemon share nervous looks and begin to pant from the sheer amount of heat being given off from the generator, which is rumbling violently at this point. The ground beneath you begins to shake. Eek.

We need to cool this generator down, asap. Volbeat and Illumise, it would be wonderful if you could use Ice Punch to cool it down; but be careful not to damage it! In the meantime, I'll carry on looking through the manual for emergency protocols.

    ‡ Round 174 ‡

You ask the Volbeats and Illumises to try to cool the generator down. Their fists blossom with icy energy and they try to approach the generator, but the heat seems to be too much for them to bear at such a close proximity. They get within a foot of the massive, red-hot machine before they're forced to step back.

"Sorry, ma'am, but Bug-types don't hold up to heat so well!" one of the Illumises squeaks. "Maybe we should use an attack that doesn't force us to, y'know, touch the thing?"

You hunt through the manual for more help. You eventually locate a relevant blurb.

Generator temperature can be regulated from the main controls. Should the generator temperature exceed safe parameters, temperature control will be disabled. As a result, the generator must be cooled manually through controlled blasts of water. The generator's robust exterior will prevent the water from leaking into the interior and shorting the circuits.

Meanwhile, the tremors ramp up in strength. You can barely keep yourself upright.

    How do you proceed?

Controlled blasts of water, eh? Volbeat, Illumise, try using a Water Pulse to cool it down. I'll see if I can find a hose or something to help out.

    ‡ Round 175 ‡

You command the fireflies to use Water Pulse to cool the generator. They nod, turn toward the machine and begin blasting it with controlled spurts of water. Swells of steam begin to rise.

As you struggle to hold yourself steady against the tremors, you try to discern whether the Water Pulses are having any effect. The streams are awfully narrow and the generator doesn't seem to be noticeably cooling down. You look around for a hose when a noise from the entrance catches your attention.

    "Stop right there!"

Everyone turns toward the source of the commotion. One of the Volbeats forgets to stop Water Pulsing when he turns, accidentally causing you and Sabaku to get caught in the stream. You watch in horror as the water washes away your painted disguise. The timing couldn't be worse, either: you recognize the two Pokemon standing at the door as the power plant guards you Hypnotized and Teleported away.

"It's them! They attacked us!" the Volbeat cries as he points at you and Sabaku.

"They're trying to disable the Citywide Security Field!" Illumise adds. "We can't allow them to succeed!"

Suddenly, the two Pokemon launch toward you. Volbeat Body Slams Sabaku to the ground and begins pummelling her with Ice Punches while Illumise grabs you by the arm and Seismic Tosses you against a nearby wall. She pounces on your shoulder and attacks with a painful Bug Bite.

Owowowow get off me! In case you haven't noticed, this generator will blow up if we don't cool it down soon, I was just helping with what was already going on!

Sabaku, throw him off with a Struggle Bug, and if he persists with attacking use Stone Edge twice.

    ‡ Round 176 ‡

You issue commands to Sabaku. With a single Struggle Bug, your Flygon manages to toss both Volbeat and Illumise away from you, but they don't seem to have been defeated just yet. The two fireflies recover quite quickly and immediately zip toward you with their fists raised. Sabaku prepares the fight back with a Stone Edge but, before she can act, Volbeat and Illumise are intercepted. The three Klangs you met in the lobby dart in front of you and raise energy shields that Protect you from harm.

"What are you doing?" Volbeat hisses, stopping dead in his tracks.

"Yeah! We need to stop those impostors!" Illumise barks.

"I don't care if they're impostors or fishmongers or a pair of brightly coloured pinatas!" the Klang on the far left bellows. "They're helping us prevent the catastrophic meltdown that is about to occur right in front of your faces, you ignorant dolts!"

"Raise so little as a finger against them and we will Gear Grind that finger into mushed up Pidgey food," the center Klang adds as they drop their Protects.

"Now, make yourselves useful and help the other Volbeats and Illumises cool the generator down," the Klang on the right finishes.

The other fireflies nod and resume Water Pulsing the generator, which still doesn't seem to be cooling down quickly enough. You watch as a few of the Klinks locate an emergency fire hose and begin awkwardly unfurling it, but you can't say for sure whether it will make a huge difference.

"Now, listen," the center Klang says to you. "The Water Pulses seem to be slowing the meltdown, but the thing is still gonna blow if we don't act fast. We need a stronger Water-type move... the strongest Water-type move if possible. You don't have any other Pokemon in your party, do you? Maybe a Blastoise or Feraligatr or something else that can use Hydro Cannon?"

Hydro Cannon? Uhh, nope. Besides, the rest of my Pokemon are locked outside of this barrier! We're going to have to improvise... Do you know where the area's water source is? Or if there are any strong water type Pokemon living in the area?

Sabaku, try and help by using a cool Silver Wind to try and cool it down. If it doesn't seem to work then stop, but if not just keep going at it.

    ‡ Round 177 ‡

As everything continues to quake violently, you watch as a slab of concrete falls down from the ceiling and strikes the ground just a few feet away from you. You order Sabaku to use Silver Wind on the generator, but the attack doesn't do a lot. Sabaku ultimately decides to desist after a moment of trying. You try to dredge some helpful information out of the Klangs.

"The water tower is on the other side of the city," the Klang on the left says. "It's quite a trek. I don't know how we'd transport the water here."

"And there are some Psyducks and Finneons who live in Skyline Terrace, but they're too weak to be of much help," the Klang on the right adds.

"Well, hold on," Volbeat pipes up as he looks at the ground sheepishly. He seems embarrassed about having caused you so much trouble. "What about the Smeargle who Sketched that pocket watch and Hypnotized us? Do you think he could Sketch a Hydro Cannon as well?"

"Yeah, where'd he go?" Illumise asks.

You dispense some instructions to the power plant workers before embarking for the lobby with Sabaku. Everything around you continues quaking as you climb staircase after staircase. Every so often a slab of concrete is dislodged from the ceiling and smashes down to the ground, narrowly missing you.

At last, you find yourselves back in the lobby which is presently in a state of disarray. You realize that part of the ceiling has caved in and there pinned under the rubble is Salvador, still disguised as a Swoobat.

Sabaku, use Strength to lift the rocks off him! If they're too heavy, break them with Rock Smash then lift them off.

    Are you alright, Salvadore?

The generator can't take the heat that generating power for the forcefield expels, and is about to melt down. We need to cool it as soon as possible, and cool the others while we're at it as they're going the same way right now. If we aren't able to cool them down, then we can't shut them off and they might blow up and take out half of the city!

    ‡ Round 180 ‡

You explain the alarming situation to Salvador, who nods.

"Let's see what we can do," he says weakly.

You and Sabaku lead Salvador back down to the generator which continues to rumble. The fireflies continue to cool the machine with their Water Pulse attacks, but they're looking rather exhausted at this point.

"Quickly!" the center Klang yells out. "Sketch a Hydro Cannon!"

Salvador nods, swishes his tail around extravagantly and conjures a colossal hose with a spout even bigger than you! At the same time, you watch as the Water Pulses all peter away to nothing. The fireflies look too weary to continue. They step aside as Salvador grabs a hold of his artistic masterpiece and... slumps over.

"So exhausted," he pants. "And my arms... so sore... can't fire it..."

Some Pokemon weren't made for strenuous labour, it seems; of course, he did just have a ceiling fall on him, so you can't be too critical.

Just then, the loudspeaker sounds overhead.

"Generator meltdown imminent. Ten... nine... eight..."

    ‡ Round 181 ‡

You and Sabaku grab a hold of the Hydro Cannon and... er, what next? You're not entirely sure how to get this thing going. Before you can ask Salvador for instructions, Sabaku notices a little metal valve near the nozzle. She decides to see what happens when she gives it a--

    WHOOSH!

Sabaku turns the valve and the Hydro Cannon comes to life, discharging a mammoth jet of water at the generator. The sheer amount of pressure is enough to rocket you and Salvador backwards against the far wall. Pinned, you both manage to cling to the hose for dear life as it continues to spray a heavy blast. You watch as the generator's red-hot exterior begins to return to a steely grey. The machine's external temperature seems to be dropping significantly.

"Generator temperature has returned to safe parameters. Manual shutdown reactivated. Generator meltdown imminent in four, three, two..."

Still being thrust against the wall, you try to wriggle free so you can get to the manual shutdown switch. However, you can't quite manage.

    How do you proceed?

    > Must... get... free!
    > Try to shut off the Hydro Cannon
    > Yell for someone to throw the generator's manual shutdown switch
    > Come to terms with your impending death D:

    ‡ Round 182 ‡

You make a desperate plea. Exhausted but not entirely out of the game, Salvador pulls himself up to his feet, stumbles toward the switch and collapses into it. He manages to wrap his fingers around it and gives it a heart tug. Suddenly, all the lights in the room go out as the electricity is cut. The generator and loudspeaker alike fall dead. The Volbeats, Illumises, Klinks and Klangs peer around their surroundings. Sabaku gives the valve on the Hydro Cannon another twist and the water stops. You slump down to the ground.

"We did it!" the center Klang shouts. "Or, well, you guys did it! Way to go!"

"Exceptional work, you three!" the Volbeat you met outside says. "You saved us all! Without you, we'd all be... well, let's not even think about that."

"If all the lights are out, the other generator must have offlined itself as well," Illumise observes. "That means the Citywide Security Field must also be out of commission."

    How do you proceed?

I'll hop onto Sabaku and fly out of the city to try and find Reshiram and the others. Salvadore, you're free to come with us and take a break to recover on the way.

    ‡ Round 183 ‡

Leaving the power plant behind, you and Salvador hop aboard Sabaku who shoots off into the sky. With the Citywide Security Field no longer in effect, the sky is blue and lovely and doesn't smell like battery acid. You search your surroundings for any sign of your allies or enemies, but you don't see a soul. The outskirts of the city looks entirely deserted.

"They could very well be all the way to Ffeffni by now," Salvador says. "If I remember what Steve told me earlier, that's definitely where the Godstone is located. I can't imagine they'd have gone anywhere else."

Before you can react to this news, several familiar faces fly toward you and form a circle around your party. You're surrounded.

Man, these guys again? You got sick of their annoying antics, like, twenty rounds ago.

"Stop right there!" Commissioner Irrationalpants Noctowl barks. "Don't think we didn't spy you leaving the power plant! You disabled the Citywide Security Field, didn't you? You're in cahoots with that Porygon-Z and those Dragons! You're trying to leave us all vulnerable so Skyline Terrace can be destroyed!"

Oh, I'm sorry for preventing the generator from exploding and taking out half of the city! It's obvious that I'm working with the Pokemon that stole my Pokemon and was trying to kill me.

Now if you and you benevolent servants don't mind, I'll be going to Ffeffni to stop him getting the god stone. If they won't let us leave, use Stone Edge to clear them out of the way while Salvadore sketches a teleport device to take us to Ffeffni if he's able.

    ‡ Round 184 ‡

Your sarcasm rips a hole in Commissioner Noctowl's reasoning.

"It must have been part of your plan all along!" Comissioner Noctowl roars. "You must have--"

Rolling her eyes, Sabaku decides she's had enough. She rips toward the Commissioner with a Stone Edge, knocking him clear out of the sky. Still exhausted, Salvador begins Sketching a Teleportation device, only to find himself on the receiving end of not one but three of the Hoothoots' Air Slashes. Nonetheless, he manages to activate the device and Teleport you away from the city. About time.

Next thing you know, you stand at the foot of Ffeffni Mountain. Salvador keels over into a snowdrift while you scan your surroundings for any indication of Z, the Dragons or your allies.

Just when you begin to question whether Salvador was right to lead you here, you notice a shape swooping down from the heavens. It's careening right toward you.

    Uh, crap?

Hang fire for a sec - there's a chance that Reshiram managed to escape Z when his control was weakened. I'll wait to see what it does; but if it attacks, Sabaku use Stone Edge thrice. I'm curious to see what it will do right now.

    CYNDER'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Ffeffni Mountain
This large mountain is very cold and has biting winds nipping around. There is a layer of snow falling and many ice types can be found here. Also look for hardier bird Pokemon and a variety of tough foes.

    ‡ Round 185 ‡

You wisely decide to hold your ground as Reshiram descends from the sky. Miraculously (but not unexpectedly), Reshiram does not attack you. You then watch as two familiar figures dismount from the Dragon's back. Though Reshiram seems to be in perfect condition, they on the other hand look battered and bruised.

"Cynder, it's you!" Ernesta exclaims. "We saw the sphere of energy surround Skyline Terrace and weren't sure how you were going to get out of there. Z, Reshiram and Zekrom started to migrate north but Brenton, Rhode, Elmira and I resisted their attempts to buck us off. We latched on and accompanied them all the way here."

"Then there was a big skirmish inside the mountain's caverns," Elmira explains. "It was all so confusing. Rhode and Brenton eventually managed to execute your commands and steal the three Light Stones away from Z. In the chaos that ensued they passed them off to us."

The Ariados sisters then reveal the three identical white spheres in their possession.

"We're quite injured, but we successfully escaped with Reshiram," Ernesta continues. She then looks over to Elmira. "You fought well, sister. I'm... quite proud."

"As did you, sister," Elmira replies. "Listen, Cynder. Z still has Zekrom under his control and they're both still searching for the God Stone. They believe it's somewhere in or around Ffeffni. Brenton and Rhode are still inside the mountain somewhere. Their combat skills are impeccable. You raised them well."

"We, on the other hand, don't have anymore fight left in us, I'm afraid," Ernesta says weakly.

    Suddenly, Reshiram speaks.

"Human," Reshiram intones in a deep, echoing voice that reminds you of a chorus of trumpets. "I witnessed your deeds in Platrin and in Skyline Terrace. I was under Z's control, but I could tell that you handle your Pokemon with grace and finesse. Permit me to come with you and locate Z and my brother. If I join my might with your Pokemon partners, we can perhaps find a way to stop them from summoning Kyurem."

The Ariados sisters then hold out the Light Stones for you.

    How do you proceed?

    > Whoo, yeah!
    > Er...

I'm so relieved that you're both alright! It's great to hear that you were able to free Reshiram from Z too, and I thank you for assisting with that. Now, we'd better get going inside that mountain. I'll take the light stones and go! By the way, Elmira, do you and your sister wish to join us, or would you like to stay out here and rest?

You gratefully accept the Light Stones as Reshiram joins your party.

"I think we'd better stay here and recuperate," Elmira replies as she scuttles toward Salvador. "The poor guy looks like he's all fatigued. We'll see what we can do to nurse him back to health. When we're ready, we'll come find you."

    "Good luck," Ernest says, nodding.

Salvador, meanwhile, says his goodbye by moaning wearily.

With that, you shoot off into the sky with Sabaku and Reshiram. You peer over at the mountain and spy an entrance near the base and another closer to the summit. On one of the snow-laden paths down below you spot some activity, though you can't exactly see what's going on from this distance.

    How do you proceed?

    ‡ Round 187 ‡

You ask Reshiram where he thinks the God Stone might be.

"I cannot say for sure, human," the Vast White Pokemon remarks, "but I suspect Kyurem's artifact might rest in the underground lake that lies in the caverns below Ffeffni. I will lead you there."

Reshiram then guides you to the entrance near the base of the mountain. You cross the threshold into the mountain and soon find yourself in a massive chamber lined with a glistening layer of ice. Icicles hang from the ceiling and, nearby, you spot a few native Pokemon. They look perplexed.

Your surroundings rumble gently. Reshiram begins to lead you toward a passageway on your left; however, before you get very far, you begin to hear a kerfuffle coming from another passageway on your right. Flashes of orange seem to be coming from that direction, too. At the same time, you hear a familiar roar echoing from somewhere up above. It almost sounds like the noise is emanating from the other side of the ceiling.

You're not sure why, but the mountain Pokemon seem to view him as a threat even though he's not attacking. Meanwhile, you hear another roar coming from the level above. It's accompanied by a loud, sizzling sound.

Brenton! I'm so glad that you're alright! As for the wild Pokemon, Brenton isn't the one behind disturbing your home. That's the fault of Z, the crazy black and white Porygon Z that's working with Zekrom to find the God stone. So I'd appreciate it if you'd let Brenton free?

Brenton, what happened when we were split up? I'm so sorry about not being able to find you sooner, that barrier wasn't easy to get down so I was trapped for a decent amount of time.
