Reshiram, Sabaku, come here and help us out! I've got a feeling that Zekrom and Z are above!

The area's going to cave in, and I don't think that we're going to be able to reinforce the ceilling enough to prevent a Zekrom and a Rhyperior from falling through. Instead, I'd recommend you run. Quickly - the way I came is safe, I can guarantee you that. The Reshiram and the Flygon are with us.

    CYNDER'S SAFARI ADVENTCHA!

    Ffeffni Mountain
This large mountain is very cold and has biting winds nipping around. There is a layer of snow falling and many ice types can be found here. Also look for hardier bird Pokemon and a variety of tough foes.

    ‡ Round 190 ‡

The mountain Pokemon decide to scarper as Reshiram trudges into the cavern, drawn by your summons. You, Reshiram, Sabaku and Brenton press yourselves against the wall and shield your faces as the ceiling caves in. You're sprayed with flecks of stone and ice, which form a dense cloud of debris all around you. When everything eventually settles, you realize a battle is occurring in front of you.

Zekrom has Rhode pinned to the ground and is presently electrocuting your Rhyperior with a powerful Bolt Strike, which of course has no effect.

"Where could Z have gone?" Reshiram inquires. "Last I saw, Z and Zekrom were together. They appear to have separated. Separate or together, though, Zekrom still seems to be under Z's control."

    How do you proceed?

    > Issue commands
    > Address Zekrom
    > Look for the God Stone
    > Look for Z

Rhode! Quickly, throw Zekrom off you with a Dragon Tail and Earthquake combo. Sabaku and Breenton, Dig a large hole in the rock as quickly as you can for Zekrom to fall into when it's thrown off. Then, everybody use Rock Slide to try and trap him temporarily while we find Z. 4 simultaneous Rock Slides should keep him buried for a while!

When we escape, we'll head to the underground lake to search for Z.

    Ffeffni Mountain
This large mountain is very cold and has biting winds nipping around. There is a layer of snow falling and many ice types can be found here. Also look for hardier bird Pokemon and a variety of tough foes.

    ‡ Round 191 ‡

With an abrupt motion, Rhode slams his tail against Zekrom's chest with enough strength to cause the ground to shake. Zekrom is hurled backwards as Sabaku and Brenton make quick work of the ground, Digging a nice big hole into which the Deep Black Pokemon stumbles and falls. Everyone then commands a bevy of rocks to tumble downward and bury Zekrom alive. When all is said and done, the rocks hold. Zekrom doesn't emerge.

You then decide to make way toward the underground lake. Reshiram nods and leads you and your Pokemon through a series of winding passages that twist deeper and deeper underground. After a few minutes of trekking, you eventually emerge in a gargantuan cavern deep beneath Ffeffni Mountain. Your team peers out over the surface of a placid lake. All is silent.

Z is nowhere to be found.

    How do you proceed?

Reshiram, is this definitely the place? Where exactly would the stone be hidden? Ideally I'd like to get my own hands on that stone before Z does.

    ‡ Round 192 ‡

"I cannot say for sure, human," Reshiram murmurs. "My memory is foggy but, if I am remembering correctly, this is the place where the God Stone was last put to rest. Prior to my rebirth from the Light Stones, I had not set foot in the physical world in a long time. Thus, the Kyurem's sacred artifact could have been moved somewhere else. The bottom of this lake is merely the God Stone's last known whereabouts."

Alright, thank you! I'll take a look around to see if there are any local water type Pokemon that can retreive it for us, since I was stupid enough to bring 3 that are weak to water Not that I regret bringing the Pokemon I have though, of course, they've been brilliant thus far ^^

I'll spproach the two Pokemon on my own, I don't want to scare them off!

Excuse me, Spheal and Seel, but would one of you be kind enough to go to the bottom of the lake and see if there is a round grey stone that looks a little like this one? It's very important to me!

    ‡ Round 194 ‡

You hold out one of the Light Stones and ask the swimming Pokemon if they've seen anything like it before.

"Ooh, we do know of a rock just like that!" Spheal says. "It sits at the very bottom of this lake. It's been there for about as long as anybody can remember."

"I'm afraid we can't move it, though," Seel adds. "Believe me, we've tried. I'm not sure, but I suspect it's because of our slippery little flippers. The stone is as smooth as marble, y'see, so it's damn near impossible to get any traction. You're going to have to get it yourself."

"She's a human," Spheal whispers. "They can't last very long in icy water, remember? There's no way she can swim to the bottom of the lake by herself."

"Oh, er, right," Seel says. "Well, how about this... you get into the water and we'll pull you down to the bottom. It'll take no time at all and we'll have you back up to the surface before you can, y'know... what's the saying..."

"Get hypothermia and perish due to exposure?" Spheal asks. "Or did you mean suffocate and die a slow, agonizing death?"

"Eh, either works," Seel says with a shrug. "So, you up for it?"

    How do you proceed?

...Or use a combination of Dive and Protect to shield me from that? That would be great too. Either way, I'm up for it. I have fire types to warm me again if neccessary xD

"Ooh, y'know, that's a good idea," Spheal remarks.

"Yeppers, she's one smart cookie," Seel adds. "'Cept for the part where she actually has to grab the stone, 'cause then we're gonna have to drop the Protect and all the icy water will rush over her at once and it will be extremely sudden and unpleasant. But other than that, yeah, solid idea."

You approach the edge of the lake and dip your feet into the water. Yowch! That's cold! You're not sure, however, what to do with your pack containing the Light Stones and Ultra Balls.

Brr, it looks like this is the only way to do it. I'd rather have a shock when I'm down there t-bo up here, I'll be out much faster that way. I'll leave my belongings in the capable hands of Brenton and Sabaku, who will alternate protects over it if there is any sign of trouble. Reshiram and Rhodes, keep a keen eye out for trouble while I'm gone. Protect the stones at all costs!

    Ffeffni Mountain
This large mountain is very cold and has biting winds nipping around. There is a layer of snow falling and many ice types can be found here. Also look for hardier bird Pokemon and a variety of tough foes.

    ‡ Round 196 ‡

You hand your pack over to Brenton and Sabaku with instructions to guard it carefully. With that, you return to the icy water and give a nod to Spheal and Seel. They each extend a flipper which you grab trepidatiously. A blue Protective bubble appears around you.

    "Here we go!" Spheal exclaims.

"Hold on tight!" Seel chimes in.

With that, you pass beneath the surface and leave everything in the frigid cavern behind. It immediately hits you how dark and how quiet it is down here. After less than a minute, you find yourself with almost no illumination. As the two Water-type Pokemon alternate the Protect, Seel begins shining a weak Aurora Beam around for light. The attack casts hypnotic, iridescent tones over every rock and aquatic plant. It makes everything seem otherworldly and doesn't put you at ease.

Eventually, you reach the lakebed. The Protective bubble rubs against the hard, frozen mud.

"The thingy is definitely around here somewhere," Spheal murmurs as they search for the God Stone. You begin to wonder if they're even going to find it when, at last, you spot something in the distance. Seel's Aurora Beam light passes that way and you spy a large granite plinth upon which a round rock just a little bit bigger than your Light Stones is perched. As you draw closer, you see some near-faded writing on the base of the plinth.

"Well, this is it," Seel says. "Give us a nod and we'll drop the Protect so you can grab the stone. Then we'll shoot you back up to the surface as quick as we can."

Peering around, you see shadows lingering outside the scope of Seel's light. You're not sure you like it down here.

    How do you proceed?

Note to anyone following this Adventcha, since I already mentioned this to BTPoke: Because a lot of mythology has already been established here and it will be hard weaving all of that into a cohesive adventure, I'm just going to ignore most of it and carry on. I'm reworking things so the Book of Ages, footprints and blue feather thing never happened.

You squint, just barely able to make out the engraving.

The Stone that holds the great Kyurem,
    Keeper of the frozen lands,
Can only be removed from this place
By the touch of human hands.

With that, you give a nod to Spheal and Seel.

    "Well, here goes!" Spheal says.

"Try to be quick!" Seel advises.

Suddenly, the energy bubble collapses and icy water rushes over you. You can feel the air leave your lunges as the lake water grips your skin, but you manage to stay focused long enough to lift the God Stone from its plinth. You, Spheal and Seel turn around and prepare to hasten back to the surface, but you see that something has emerged out of the shadows and is now blocking your way.

Though you're already growing light-headed from the lack of oxygen, Z seems unperturbed. The monstrous Porygon-Z watches you with those eerie red eyes.

"At last, you've arrived and removed the God Stone for me," it intones. "I've been waiting. Now, surrender the Stone to me, human, and you shall leave unscathed."

This large mountain is very cold and has biting winds nipping around. There is a layer of snow falling and many ice types can be found here. Also look for hardier bird Pokemon and a variety of tough foes.

    ‡ Round 29 ‡

You try to console Zigzagoon and ask for more information. She sniffles.

"Oh, it's so hard to explain. You might not even believe me if I told you. I'm not from around here, you see... I come from Sunshine Fields. I'm part of a colony of Zigzagoons and Linoones, but we're not quite like normal. We're, well, much more colourful than the average rodent, not to mention stronger. We got to be like this because, in the middle of our colony, there sits an ancient fountain rumoured to have been created by Lati-- ack!" Zigzagoon clasps her paws over her mouth. "Oh, you're an outsider! I can't believe I'm telling you this! The Elders will have my head!"

    How do you proceed?

You can talk to my pokemon and ask them if I'm trustworthy

(If none of my pokemon are out, I'll send out Veronica to talk to her. Don't wanna spook her with larger pokemon)

    ‡ Round 30 ‡

"Well, I mean, of course your Pokemon are going to say you're trustworthy... they're your Pokemon," Zigzagoon points out. "It's okay, though. I don't find you suspicious or anything, so I... guess I can talk to you about this. My colony's Elders are just a little paranoid and there's just all these annoying rules and ordinances about only conferring with other Zigzagoons and Linoones. I don't agree with the rules, but I understand why the Elders believe them to be necessary. You see, my colony lives deep beneath Sunshine Fields in an underground city we've constructed. In the very middle of it is a fountain known as the Soul Fountain, which is rumoured to have been made by Latias and Latios. We drink from it regularly, you see, and it's what gives us such tremendous colouring and fantastic strength. It also nourishes us, so we never need to leave our city to forage which means we can't be caught unawares by Pokemon trainers or predators. It's wonderful. However, about a month ago the fountain ran dry. As it turns out, all this time our bodies have grown dependent on the Soul Fountain. Without its waters, the Elders have fallen ill... including my grandmother... and we don't know what to do. There's a good chance that, as time passes, the same thing might happen to myself and the others. Our colour will fade and we'll perish."

    How do you proceed?

    > Ask about the Soul Fountain
    > Ask about the colony
    > Ask about Jackson
    > Ask why she's here
    > Shrug and leave

Eh, even though I happen to think zigzagoon and linoone are awesome, especially with fantastic colors, I'm really not looking to catch one at this time, so you can be sure I won't catch your brethren if I do decide to help.

Ok, I'm pretty sure I was in Sunshine Field for all of 5 minutes last time I was in the SZ, and I didn't see anything suspicious. How would I be able to enter this colony?

Also, if you're obviously desperate enough to ask help from people/pokemon other than zigzagoon or linoone, which is what I assume you are doing, why are you all the way up on this mountain?

"Woah, really? You'll help? Thanks! I'm Hadley, by the way," she says chipperly. "I can come with you and show you where the entrance to the colony is, if you'd like. You might be able to acquire some helpful information there. Of course, you'll need a disguise since never in a million years would they let a human, a Jolteon, a Druddigon and a Rapidash inside. As for why I'm here, it's because I went out in search of my brother, Jackson. Since the colony refuses to make contact with anyone besides Zigzagoons and Linoones, Jackson was sent here to seek help from the raccoon Pokemon who make this mountain their home, but he never returned. I journeyed here to find him and haven't had any luck locating him or the Zigzagoons and Linoones who supposedly reside here."

Zigzagoons and Linoones (is the plural even supposed to have an S? xD) live here? well, it's worth a shot. Maybe on the way to finding them we can find a way to disguise ourselves.

The group of zigzagoon/linoone might be somewhat close to the underground lake, considering that's probably the best choice for a water source. We should find a tunnel and make our way down there.

    ‡ Round 198 ‡

Before Z can react, you twist around in the water and try to set the God Stone back onto the granite plinth. You then feel a tug on your foot as Z latches onto you with Psychic powers and attempts to pull you away, but you're too fast. Lungs burning and body aching from the icy water, you still manage to heave the God Stone safely back onto its setting. Z lets out a shriek of rage.

"You fool!" Z roars. "I will pin you here until you surrender and agree to present me with the God Stone!"

Helpless, you feel yourself get shoved backwards by Z's Psychic attack. Your body is thrust against the lakebed and, no matter how much you struggle, you cannot break free. Your vision is starting to get spotty. You can't handle much more of this.

Spheal and Seel, meanwhile, look on in terror.

"Not bad reasoning," Hadley says. "Well, let's go, then!"

You leave the bunker behind and, after returning outside briefly, you locate a tunnel leading into the mountain's icy caves. Unsure precisely where the lake is, you wander for a good several minutes until you come across a mound of boulders that seem to be plugging a rather large hole in the ground. The boulders are quivering slightly. You wonder whether there might be something trapped underneath.

You also see a few Swinubs nearby. They're gossiping amongst themselves.

If you kill me, you can't get the stone!

I'll do as best I can to throw a stone at Z to distract him while Spheal uses Yawn and then both of them get me out of there as quickly as possible.

    ‡ Round 33 ‡

Strength courses through Sandy's body as she plods up to the pile of rocks. She sinks her steely talons into a particularly large and heavy and boulder; then, with a bit of a struggle, your Druddigon manages to toss the rock aside. She leans over and looks down into the pit to see what had been--

    WHOOSH!

Rocks spray everywhere as you, Veronica, Sandy, Catherine, Hadley and the Swinubs are all tossed backwards. Dazed, you eventually managed to pull yourself upright and see that something has burst free from the hole. You glance down a nearby tunnel and the large tail of some dark, immense creature as it hastens around a corner and out of sight.

"Ow," Hadley says. "That was... hey, look!"

Glancing over, you see a Pokemon trotting along the icy cavern floor behind the Swinubs.

    ‡ Round 199 ‡

You shout something at Z which sounds a lot like gargling and then provide Spheal and Seel with some commands which also sound a lot like gargling. Nonetheless, Spheal and Seel seem to understand what you're trying to say. You whip a random nearby rock at Z as Spheal distracts Z with a Yawn. The tactic seems to work: Z inadvertently drops his Psychic hold on you, giving Seel the perfect opportunity to swoop in, grab ahold of you and then take off toward the surface.

At this point, your body has thoroughly numbed itself and your thoughts are getting misty as everything seems as if to melt away. You're not sure exactly how long it takes Seel to get you back up to the surface but, next thing you know, you're lying in a patch of gravel by the side of the lake while spluttering and sucking back precious oxygen. You realize that Brenton, still in possession of your pack, has wrapped himself around you. His warmth leeches into your body and slowly causes your numbness to dissipate.

Just when you begin to contemplate making an exit, Z bursts out of the water. Eep. The Porygon-Z circles the lake overhead, shrieking with fury. You see now that he is still in possession of the Dark Stones. What's more, he's joined by another familiar face. Zekrom emerges from a nearby tunnel to reunite with its master.

"We already took care of him," Reshiram murmurs. "How did Zekrom break free?"

Veronica, Catherine, chase after that creature. We'll catch up to you later.

Anyway, Hadley, let's start up a conversation with that zigzagoon, perhaps.

EDIT: Oslo, you little jerk, you made me set Zekrom free xD
