Alroighty, then. One wonders what's going through someone's head when they use a special move on a pokemon that has a light screen up xD

Let's make that worse, Rosalinda, by starting out the round with a Sunny Day!

Up next, let's have you use a snatch on that poor Alphonse's Reflect.

For the third turn, if Nano manages to emerge from the ground before Alphonse uses TPunch, use Psychic to telekinetically hold him in front of you to take the punch.

Yeesh, this is gonna be taxing on Rosalinda's energy/health, I can tell.

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    ‡ Round 21 ‡

With our battle now closer to the end than the beginning, excitement mounts. Rosalinda claps her hands together and causes sunlight to spill down over the battlefield, much to her opponents' annoyance. Alphonse bounds toward Nano and slugs the little mudskipper with a sizzling punch of sizzling sizzliness. Nano is left in a daze from which he recovers quickly; taking aim, he releases a pressurized stream of water at Rosalinda. Between the hot sun and her Light Screen, the Hydro Pump ends up being more of a Hydro Splash.

    Alphonse: <-6 EP>
    Rosalinda: <-4 HP; -4 EP>
    Nano: <-12 HP; -10 EP>

Rosalinda watches Alphonse carefully. The Metang considers Mimicking Rosalinda's Reflect, realizes there was never a Reflect to Mimic and then decides to just conjure one all on its own. A silver shield twinkles into existence, but with a Snatching gesture, Rosalinda claims the Reflect for herself. It wafts toward her, protecting her from Physical damage, but it seems like she's incurred a bit of fatigue in the process. As Alphonse shakes its fist at Rosalinda, Nano decides he isn't particularly interested in this drama and Digs away out of sight.

    Alphonse: <-4 EP>
    Rosalinda: <-1 EP; -1 HP fatigue; Rft>
    Nano: <-2 EP>

Eager to use Nano as a flesh shield, Rosalinda preps a Psychic attack and waits for him to emerge. However, Alphonse whips up a Shadow Ball far too quickly and winds up scoring a hit... a weakened hit, but a hit nonetheless. Oh, and lookie there. Special Defence drop for Rosalinda. Grimacing, Rosalinda doesn't know what to do with her charged Psychic attack and ends up unleashing it at Alphonse to little effect. Finally, Nano emerges from beneath Rosalinda and winds up knocking the dancer to the ground. She's really not looking too good.

Aaaaand Rosalinda's Light Screen goes kaput.

    Alphonse: <-3 HP; -6 EP>
Rosalinda: <-9 HP; -3 HP fatigue; -1 SpD; LSn no more>
    Nano: <-2 EP>

More Burniness for Alphonse <-3 HP>.

    ‡ Post-Round ‡

welp, it's obvious I'm not gonna make it through this round, so let's make things a bit even xD

First turn let's use a heal pulse on Nano, shortly followed by a Rain Dance. He's gonna need all the help he can get if he's planning on winning this phase of the battle.
I don't know if this is capable of being a combo, but let's try and make it one if at all possible xD

If Alphonse attempts an attack, add a teleport into the combo to evade.

But srsly, awesome definitions aside, why do people not have one on one on one battles more often? The nutty strategies you guys have been pulling make my day. Heal Pulse on an opponent when you're about to faint. The shenanigans of it all.

Also, even though BTPoke is pulling a Rosalinda on you, Cynder, you should take it as a compliment that his idea of making this even involves healing the Pokemon that's winning the match. It means he knows you're FIERCE.

Eh, I suppose xD I guess the reason people don't normally have 1 on 1 on 1 battles is that they take a long time if the participants aren't all active, although they're pretty awesome when everyone is!

Start by redirecting Rosa's arm while she's using Heal Pulse with a combo of Psychic and Agility, with the Agility to gain the ability to move suddenly as soon as she starts to attack and Psychic to keep her arm still and pointed away from Nano. Then take Rosa out with a Meteor Mash.

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    ‡ Round 22 ‡

With everybody rocking more health than energy, it's clear that quite a bit of Ciceroing has been going on for all three Pokes to end up in this state. Alphonse snaps to attention, using a combination of Agility and Psychic to swiftly gain control of Rosalinda's right arm just as she points it at Nano. At the last second, Alphonse telekinetically tugs the arm upward and a cascading pulse of energy ripples toward the sky. Startled, Rosalinda reacts too late. She Teleports to the opposite side of the arena while doing a jig, which causes her health to bottom out. She slumps over, defeated, just as cold, fat raindrops begin to descend upon our battle.

Meanwhile, Nano does nothing. Because Paralysis is stupid.

    Alphonse: <-11 EP; +2 Spd>
    Rosalinda: <-10 HP fatigue>
    Nano: <Can't move!>

Alphonse charges up a Meteor Mash and prepares to put Rosalinda out of her misery, except Rosalinda is no longer in any misery on account of she is dead. Rather than gruesomely assaulting Rosalinda's corpse, Alphonse pauses for a sec and then decides to take a swing at Nano. The Metang scores a mere glancing blow just as the Mudkip disappears underground, oppan Miko style.

    Alphonse: <-4 HP fatigue>
    Nano: <-3 HP; -2 EP>

And then he reappears, also oppan Miko style. Tough luck for Alphonse, who can't escape it.

    Alphonse: <-9 HP>
    Nano: <-2 EP>

Rosalinda may be gone, BUT HER BANE REMAINS <-3 HP>.

Go out with a bang with a combo of Explosion, Meteor Mash and Thunderpunch and hope that's enough. If it Protects/Detects, relax and wait until the barrier recedes.

    ‡ Round 23 ‡

Crunch time is upon us. Alphonse whisks forward to deliver a punch and then combusts, bombarding the arena with a sequence of terrific shock waves. Dust is kicked up and all eyes wait to see whether poor widdle Nano survived. In the end, though that combo could have easily wiped out the Mudkip, Alphonse didn't have enough HP to bankroll its full effects. When all is said and done, the Mudkip still stands.

    so i herd u lyk... winning? ;D

Not to mention we have at least one starter pokemon per matchup...

Yeah, fun fact: I saw that spiritomb's keystone looked like a stool (and by that I mean the kind you sit/stand on), so i decided to be funny and call it "Demonic Stool," knowing full well that it looked like I was calling it "demon poop."

Also, you know full well that this whole battle may end in a 2-way tie, right?

Anyway, let's get on with these moves.
DS, I want you to just use Ominous Wind (weird. I'm using Ominous Wind at least once in each of the battles I'm posting in today). First use it on Triton, then frost, then triton again.

Snatch any self-targeting moves (Bar rest)

Yeppers! I think I addressed that possibility in the first post. I have a tiebreaker planned and I'll say what it is if/when it's needed.

I think a tie would be fun, but ultimately I'm just happy nobody won all of the first three match-ups. That would have really sucked the fun out of this whole thing IMO.

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    ‡ Round 24 ‡

Gen IV is upon us! It might be the most forgettable Generation in my book, but that doesn't mean we're in for a forgettable battle. (Well, it better not, anyway.) The trainers release and we're soon graced with the presence of a penguin, a malevolent spirit and a flame-coloured coconut with an icy tiara thing. Oh, and look! It's Hailing! Lovely. Frost is the first to budge, waddling over to Triton and then bashing the little Piplup upside the head with one of his branch arms. Both Pogeys take some damage. Triton staggers backward and responds with some horking noises, which is how I personally cope with blunt force trauma. He then spits a glob of Toxic goo at BTPoke's Spiritomb, who starts wailing and moaning and stirring up a big ol' fuss. The spirit calls up a terrible gale which makes Triton wish he'd stayed indoors today.

    Triton: <-28 HP; -4 EP>
    Demonic Stool: <-4 EP; Txc>
    Frost: <-7 HP recoil; -10 EP>

Triton finds a nearby patch of mud left over by the landscapers and begins rolling around in it like a wee widdle piggy. I see where the Mud comes from, but the Sport? Is this some kind of competition? Is Triton winning or losing? It's hard to say where Triton stands in terms of the Mud Sport, but it's fair to say he's facing troubled times in the battle. Frost goes hard with another Wood Hammer, which does a lot of damage but also a fair amount of recoil. Looks like Triton has hit the damage cap already. Jeepers. Meanwhile, the weather forecast today is windy with a chance of all-around spookiness. Yeppers, another Ominous Wind leaves Frost wishing he'd taken root in less blustery climes.

    Triton: <-12 HP; -4 EP; MSp>
    Demonic Stool: <-4 EP>
    Frost: <-8 HP; -4 HP recoil; -10 EP>

Time to bubble up! Triton releases a steady stream of bubbles which rocket into Demonic Stool like live ammunition. Pow! Pow! Triple pow! Frost continues to make Triton's life a nightmare with another Wood Hammer; however, since we've already reached the damage cap, it does no damage and no recoil. Demonic Stool also seems to have missed the memo about the damage cap being reached and hits up Triton with another Ominous Wind. Yeah, no damage and no stat boosts either. Life can be so cruel.

    Triton: <-0 HP; -5 EP>
    Demonic Stool: <-9 HP; -4 EP>
    Frost: <-0 HP recoil; -10 EP>

The Hail gobbles away some health from Triton (except not really) <-0 HP> and Demonic Stool <-3 HP>. On top of that, it looks to be Toxic time for Demonic Stool <-3 HP>, who's nonetheless managing to pull a Robirdo at the moment.

    ‡ Post-Round ‡

aaand it seems the incredibly brief team-up has come to an end. let's see, here...

Start things out with a Sunny Day. This stupid hail is getting annoying.

Next thing, Frost will most likely be looking at you while using that blizzard. I want you to try to lock eyes with him and use Hypnosis to put him to sleep.

Finally, use Dream eater on Frost if he's hit with the hypnosis. If not, use Protect.

Let Mr Devil Poop change the weather as he pleases, but beforehand use a Hydro Pump on Frost as he is about to attack to blast him away and into pretty much anything, preferably right into Stool. Then use Drill Peck on Frost after he and Stool are finished warring, and finish up with a Supersonic on Stool to hopefullly prevent him getting back any HP.

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    ‡ Round 25 ‡

Moar shenanigans! Eager to make up for last round's fiasco, Triton locks eyes with Frost and waits for the tubby timber to make his approach. Sure enough, Frost comes lumbering (geddit, lumbering) forward with an arm raised and gives it a swing. At the last second, Triton cuts loose with a pressurized assault of water which rockets Frost away. Whee! He doesn't end up crashing into El Diablo Excremento ('cause that kind of aim would be downright impressive), but hey, at least Triton avoided the Wood Hammer. Dat's good.

Meanwhile, Demonic Stool thinks sunny thoughts. The skies clear. Whoop whoop.

    Triton: <-10 EP>
    Demonic Stool: <-4 EP>
    Frost: <-6 HP; -10 EP>

Frost gets up and dusts himself up. Well, that was downright loony. He then closes his eyes and summons a deluge of snow and ice to sweep over the arena. The harsh sunlight makes the attack a little difficult to aim, but he nonetheless manages and sends a howling Blizzard straight toward Demonic Stool. The malevolent spectre howls in pain as the wintery spell encroaches upon him, but he then his attacker's eye and stares Hypnotically. Exhaustion overwhelms Frost as he tumbles to the ground, asleep in mere seconds. At this point, Triton tiptoes over and whacks the overgrown coconut with his beak. Vengeance. Vengeance!

    Triton: <-6 EP>
    Demonic Stool: <-14 HP; -4 EP>
    Frost: <-14 HP; -10 EP; Slp>

While Frost catches a little R&R, Triton lets out a hideous screech. As I clap my hands over my ears, Demonic Stool looks at me enviously. Poor guy has no hands. Wah-wah. His mind is thrust into a fit of Confusion and he begins headbutting his tombstone without a care for his well-being. Lawl. I mean, the poor guy is in pain so I probably shouldn't find it funny, but... yeah, definitely lawl.

    Triton: <-4 EP>
    Demonic Stool: <Cfn; -3 HP Cfn>
    Frost: <Can't move!>

Demonic Stool <-5 HP> feels the Toxin mount in strength. Yeah, it'll do that.

    ‡ Post-Round ‡

Hah, we've caught up with them! Concentrate on hitting Mr Merda Demônio with Ice Beam, then Frost with Signal Beam, and then if Stool's below half HP use Brine, and if not use another Ice Beam.

Let's have you try to rest until you're actually able, and then spam sleep talk.

I need to get rid of that toxic, anyway

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    ‡ Round 26 ‡

With nobody leading by more than a couple of hit points, it's hard to say who will come out on top as the winner of this set. Still dozing in the middle of the field, Frost babbles under his breath. An energy veil materializes and wraps itself around his body, warding off any and all status effects... except those already in effect, obvs. Meanwhile, Triton sets his sights on errybody's favourite unfortunately named Spiritomb and blasts him with a frigid beam of ice. Good thing sunlight prevents Freeze, eh? Otherwise we might have a malevolent poopsicle on our hands.

Meanwhile, Demonic Stool lets out a yawn and goes to Sleep. Nighty-night! The Toxin leaves his system, but the Confusion remains. Funny how that works.

    Triton: <-8 EP>
Demonic Stool: <-10 HP; +30 HP; -30 EP; Slp; Txc no more>
    Frost: <-4 EP; Sgd>

Triton peers from one sleeping opponent to the next and pouts. Jeepers. That's gotta hurt your confidence. While Triton frets over the possibility that he might be boring his opponents to Sleep, he lays into Frost with a different beam-based attack. This one pulsates red and green and leaves Frosty the Snover Man with a bit of a headache but nothing else. Frost then resumes his Sleep Talking ways. He shuffles over to Demonic Stool, wraps up the spook in a bear hug and begins sucking back his health. Eek! Also asleep, Demonic Stool wriggles free from Triton's choke-hold and goes back to headbutting his keystone.

Triton blinks as he watches the two somnambulant Pokemon go at it. Wtf.

    Triton: <-6 EP>
    Demonic Stool: <-10 HP; -3 HP Cfn>
    Frost: <-12 HP; +5 HP; -6 EP>

Poor Triton. After a rough beginning, the little penguin has managed to go almost two full rounds without taking damage... but that ends here. He attack Demonic Stool with another Ice Beam only to watch as Frost wakes up. Uh-oh. The Snover stretches and then tromps over to Triton, who knows perfectly well what's gonna happ-- BAM! Triton is clobbered with another powerful Wood Hammer and lands at the base of Demonic Stool's keystone. Though he's still Sleeping, the spectre doesn't seem to be Confused any longer. Demonic Stool then Retaliates with a good, strong physical attack. Triton rolls over and, with a moan, thinks back on Round 25 with a sense of wistful nostalgia. Ahh, yep, those were the days.

    Triton: <-27 HP; -8 EP>
Demonic Stool: <-10 HP; Cfn no more; -5 EP>
    Frost: <Slp no more; -7 HP recoil; -10 EP>

    ‡ Post-Round ‡

Keep sleep talking until you wake up

When you do: Ominous wind; first at triton, then at frost, then triton again.
