Let's go Yoshi
Rossy?? I'm gettin this back on the first page
Oh it's me! Yeah, I was just thinking that I haven't seen any of my battles for a while. Let's see, ooh, those are some cool tutor moves, although nothing really that new.
Okay, Thunderbolt, Dragon Pulse, Thunderbolt.
Aaaaand now it's your turn.
Dragon Dance, Dragon Claw, Ice Fang

Osloki watch impassively (the guy's not too expressive, is he?) as Mike releases his next Pokemon. A flash of light marks the entrance of a jolly, jumping Totodile. Unimpressed by this little munchkin, Hakuryu burns him alive with a quick touch of electricity. Mmm. Roasted gator be tasty. Yoshi yelps and fights back with a madcap dance routine which leaves him invigorated and ready for more.
Yoshi: <-15 HP; -4 EP; +1 Att; +1 Spd>
Hakuryu: <-8 EP>
The two fighters then swap off a couple of Dragon-type moves. Hakuryu cuts loose with an indigo pulse while Yoshi, on the other hand, puts those claws to good use with a few energy-infused swipes. Hakuryu takes more damage, but she doesn't seem ready to throw in the towel just yet.
Yoshi: <-11 HP; -6 EP>
Hakuryu: <-13 HP; -7 EP>
Since she clearly prefers her Totodiles well-done, Hakuryu makes with a second Thunderbolt. Twitching and shaking from the unpleasant jolt, Yoshi nonetheless keeps his head in the game... and he keeps his mouth in the game as well. He waddles over and sinks his icy fangs into Hakuryu's scaled tail, netting a wince from the serpentine creature. Nothing like a teething gator to really get on one's nerves.

Aqua Tail on OSLOKI then Dragon Claw on Hakuryu twice
Use Protect in front of the statue to prevent Aqua Tail from succeeding. This time it will work dammit. Then Extremespeed the statue. If you're somehow alive third action, Thunderbolt Yoshi.

Hakuryu isn't long for this world, but hey, she's kicked so much behind that she really doesn't care at this point. Eager to cause a few more hijinks while she still can, she slithers in front of Osloki and raises a Protective bubble that envelops both her and the little tiki. Yoshi waddles up to the bubble and tries to break it with a flail of his tail, but the Protect holds strong.
Yoshi: <-7 EP>
Hakuryu: <-8 EP>
Snickering, Hakuryu drops the Protect and hits Osloki with a swift tackle. The statue accepts the blessing. The round (and Hakuryu as well) then comes to an end as Yoshi dishes out a mighty Dragon Claw. Rossy's mighty Dragonair tips over and falls.

Sunny Day, Bug Buzz, Shadow Ball.
Don't forget, you hafta pick a Pogey you registered. They're listed on the first page.
...I did forget that yes. Sonans, you're up!
Okay, Safeguard, Encore, then Counter or Mirror Coat, depending on the move type, or, if a non attacking move, Charm! Hehehehehe.
This'll probably be my moveset for the whole time I use it.
Yoshi use Surf on Osloki, then use Swords Dance

We continue as Rossy releases his third Pokemon, a blubbery blue whatchamacallit who salutes as she enters battle. Woooooobbuffet! Yoshi blinks, gives his head a shake and then turns to Osloki. He smothers the statue with a mighty tidal wave which brings the little tiki god to its limits. It flashes purple, accepts the blessing and then punishes Sonans by draining both health and energy from her. Wobb? When all is said and done, she bolsters her fighting spirits by treating herself to a Safeguard. Wobb!
Yoshi: <-7 EP>
Sonans: <-20 HP; -20 EP; -4 EP; Sgd>

Yoshi then begins to madly dance around the joint, upping its offensive parameters. Impressed, Sonans begins slapping her polygonal hands together. Encore! Encore!
Yoshi: <-4 EP; +2 Att; Encored>
Sonans: <-4 EP>
Blushing, Yoshi is so pleased with Sonans's rousing response that he decides his dance solo can't end just yet. He redoubles his efforts and begins leaping about like an actor in a Gap commercial. However, Sonans smiles coyly and, for every speck of strength to suddenly enter Yoshi's body, a little bit vanishes. That Wobbuffet is just too gosh-darn Charming to attack with full power, right? Um. If you say so.

Okay, Encore, then Counter/Safeguard whatever he's locked into. If a non-attacking move is locked, Charm.

Sonans and Yoshi seem to be whittling one another down at a fairly consistent rate... which is good, I guess? Play continues as Yoshi rips into Sonans with a piercing Shadow Claw, which leaves Sonans so impressed she just starts clapping and clapping. Encore! Encore! Yoshi blushes. Gawrsh. Blushing furiously, Yoshi shows Sonans the true extent of his Shadow Clawery. His next attacks rips into the blue punchbag extra hard, dealing critical damage. How impressive! I'll send out Bones,
use a Focus Punch on OSLOKI then use a Sand Storm then use a Stealth Rock
Last edited by Mike Mysterio; 5th January 2013 at 02:34 PM.
You only issued two attacks.
Foucs Puch has to wait a turn to attack
No, with Focus Punch the user focuses and attacks during the same turn. If its concentration is broken with an attack then Focus Punch fails, but otherwise it only takes one action.
ok, thanks i edited my other post
Okay, so let's Encore the Pokemon after it punches Osloki and then Counter the Focus Punch. Thankfully, you have lower priority. But I doubt you'd really live it anyway. And especially not the curse.
I did this for Mike, so I suppose I ought to do the same for you: was there a third move you wanted to use, Ross?
I'll survive a Focus Punch and the Osloki curse? Well if you insist, Safeguard.

Poor Sonans isn't looking so hot. As Mike summons a Cubone into battle, the Wobbuffet is only able to greet her with the weariest of salutes. Bones closes hwe eyes and charges up a mighty punch. Meanwhile, Sonans holds off and waits for the little skulled fighter to go nuts. Bones lunges forward and slugs Osloki in the face. Sonans then applauds obnoxiously. Though you can't see it what with her mask and all, Bones blushes. Gawrsh.
Sonan's Safeguard goes kaput.
Bones: <-13 EP; Encored>

Bones closes his eyes and again hones his focus. Sonans then runs as quickly as a Wobbuffet can run, which isn't very quickly at all. The blue punchbag waddles between Bones and Osloki just as Bones opens his eyes. The Wobbuffet salutes. You shall not pass! Unable to hold in the Focus Punch, Bones swings her first forward and catches the blue blob in the face. Struck, Sonans leans backward... and then shoots forward with tremendous speed. Her forehead collides with Bones, sending her skidding through the sand. Wobb!
Osloki ain't happy. Sonans feels her vitality slipping through her fingertips... not that she, uh, has fingertips. But you get what I mean.

New blood! Flexing his pincers, Rossymore's Krabby takes to the beach and prepares to cut this bone-wielding weirdo down to size. It doesn't help that he smashes into a Stealth Rock upon his entry into the field. Er, not a great way to begin, but let's just put that behind us! Scuttle begins by splashing about in the wet sand, increasing his resistance to pesky Electricmakul attacks. Sure enough, this defensive measure is put to the test: Bones clobbers Scuttle with a sizzly punch and it doesn't do quite as much damage as it should. Huzzah! It works!
Bones: <-6 EP>
Scuttle: <-6 HP; -5 HP SRk; -4 EP; MSp>
Scuttle begins shimmying and hand-jiving in circles around Osloki. The island god then causes a downpour over the island, leaving everyone quite wet, much to Scuttle's delight. No fan of this dismal weather, Bones dive-tackles the Krabby in a bid for revenge. Fortunately, her helmet negates any and all recoil. Woot woot. Rock Head ftw.
Bones: <-10 EP>
Scuttle: <-12 HP; -4 EP>
As the rain continues, Scuttle goes for an offensive attack: Scald! The hot bath of steaming water leaving Bones feeling uncomfortably warm, so she returns the favour with yet another ThunderPunch. Again, it doesn't do quite as much damage, but it does leave the pleasant aroma of Alaskan king crab legs in the air. Somebody pass the butter.

‡ Round 18 ‡
The pitter-patter of rain keeps up as we continue into the next round. Scuttle lets another steaming bath of water fly, making Bones feel like a boiled yam, except not nearly as delicious. Bones responds with a piddly ThunderPunch which is once again weakened by Scuttle's muddy armour. Er, you saw how well that worked last time, didn't you?
Bones: <-18 HP; -6 EP>
Scuttle: <-6 HP; -6 EP>
Again, it's a Scald for a ThunderPunch. One does exorbitantly more damage than the other. Try to guess which!
Bones: <-18 HP; -6 EP>
Scuttle: <-6 HP; -6 EP>
And again, the two Pogeys exchange the same attacks. When everything has been said and done, Scuttle yawns, quite bored with how easy all this has been, while Bones moans. (lol rhyme) Looks like he's reached the damage cap. Oh, and he's been Burned. This is not the Cubone's day.
Bones: <-4 HP capped; -6 EP; Brn>

Bones takes Burn damage except, oh wait, he doesn't. Damage cap.
