In the beginning, there are no banned moves. But each time, both the battlers will have to ban a move. That makes two banned new moves each round. Neither of the battlers can use those moves as soon as they are banned. However, the rule concerning the newly banned move won't come into effect until next round, so you can say, for instance, "use Earthquake thrice, I ban Earthquake " Also your opponent is able to use the newly banned move, but next round, not any more. In the case of moves like Rollout, Fly, Dig, Future Sight etc. you can issue those before they are banned and they still come into full effect afterwards. The banned moves are banned all the way to the end of the battle.

Round Seven

And the round kicked off, with a new ref!

Lich started off the round, preparing himself to Snatch Lairon's Sub, he closed his eyes and began to concentrate. As he concentrated, confusion set in. Were his orders... to...hit himself in the face? Could...those be the orders? He squinted at Lairon, and then back at his trainer, PC nodding to him as if to say "Go on, we're waiting." He took a deep breath, and then nodded, knowing what he had to do.

Lairon suddenly found herself in a similar position. Did her trainer order her to hit herself in the face??? It seemed plausible, but then again so did using the move Substitute. This was so hard. Mimicking Lich in terms of taking a deep breath, she then decided what would be best.

The two of them hit themselves in the face at the exact same time.

Lich:
-4 HP, -1 HP

Lairon:
-4 HP, -3 ENG

And then Lairon took centre stage! She closed her eyes and aimed her head at Lich, her foot scraped against the floor, kicking dust into the air. Her eyes opened wide, her irises glowing red, her head covered in a new shiny sheen. She then leaped forward, charging towards Lich, striking him with her head, a loud metal-clanging-against-the-floor noise rang out as they collided. Both Pokémon falling to the floor.

Round Nine

PC sent out his new Pokémon, Babel.

Babel waited for Lairon to get her move on. And Lairon did, kind of. Lairon still confused from previously, struggled to grasp the concept of "use Magnet Rise". She sat there, looking down at her feet. Did...did use Magnet Rise mean...hit herself with her feet? No, couldn't...could it? Shrugging, she blinked thrice, and then whacked herself in the face with her foot.

Babel shrugged, oh well, she hit herself. Means Babel's orders were fine and dandy. It shuddered as it closed its eyes, concentrating as it started to rip out parts of its body that were not vital. Bits of Babel started to conglomerate into a ball in front of its diamond middle. The ball grew to around one seventh of the Golett's size. The little Golett looked barely like Babel, and was all dripping and unfinished as it dropped to the floor, but oh well.

Babel:
-14 HP, -12 ENG +SUB

Lairon:
-4 HP, -3 ENG

And again, Babel waited for Lairon to move, to see which move she used. Having snapped out of confusion, Lairon began to mimic what Babel had done the previous round. Closing her eyes, Lairon began to rip away whatever non-vital cells and metal were in her body, and started to concentrate it to her mouth, which she opened for convenience. The ball shifted and shuddered as the bits were added, it slowly growing, forming a bastardised Lairon shape. She spat it out, the creature of leftover cells and metal having taken about one fourteenth of the Lairon's health.

Babel shrugged again, barely affected it. Babel pulled its fist back and closed its eyes. As it closed its eyes, it focused on the arena, using its pseudo-psychic powers, and painted a picture of the arena with its mind. The arena appeared in Babel's head in black and green, like Tron or something, with Lairon's weird heat signatures in orange and white. Babel started to sweat as it concentrated and then opened its eyes, lurching forward to strike this weird, wet Lairon with its fist, smushing it into oblivion.

Lairon:

Babel:
-14 ENG

Lairon closed her eyes and started to concentrate, focusing all of the magnetic charge in her body, she concentrated the positive charge to the floor and the negative charge at her top, making her a magnet. The floor, already having a natural positive charge or something, however Pokémon reasons Magnet Rise working when it obviously shouldn't. Her entire body started to glow yellow as she rose from the floor, all four legs spreading out as she floated around. Avoiding all Ground Moves.

Babel shrugged for the third time, so what if she was floa-oh, she would dodge Earthquake. Oh well, no time to change now, it had to follow its trainer's orders. It started to stomp its feet, just small and not energy consuming at the start, but then it began to pick up the pace, the stomping increasing in intensity and frequency. Eventually, Babel's stomping caused the ground to shudder and shake, for birds to fly off trees far off in the distance and for one lamp to be knocked over in Blackpool and caused a weeks worth of news reports. And...Lairon was not affected.

Round Ten

And, so, Lairon kicked off the round.

Lairon closed her eyes and started to concentrate. As she concentrated, she started to focus all of the shadows and evils in her body and around the local area into her front, left foot. As she did this, the arena seemed to become...lighter as she shadows retreated. However, as the arena grew lighter, her foot became darker. Slowly becoming more and more dark, to the point where it was almost black. As she moved, shadows dripped off her foot, creating puddles of shadow on the floor. She leapt towards Babel, striking it, knocking it to the ground.

Babel grinned, kind of, however a golem made out of clay and ghost-stuff could grin. It started to concentrate, closing its eye-things tight. As it concentrated, it started to glow pink, and its mind got in sync with the planet below. Babel somehow started to add more mass to the centre of the planet or something, however Pokémon also wants to give reason to this move, and because there's no logic behind it, I don't really want to give you some bullshit pseudo-science explanation behind it. Just that more gravity was exerted in the arena.

Babel closed its eyes and pulled its fist back, starting to concentrate.

Lairon thumped right on the floor and glared at Babel. How dare it, she was perfectly happy levitating right there and now she could barely lift her legs! She took a step forward and then repeated what she had done the previous action. Closing her eyes, she started to focus all of her evils into her foot. As she did, she seemed to become a little more...well, she had a nicer presence. However, as she had a nicer presence, her foot began to darken, shadows in the arena starting to fade too as they all conglomerated on her foot too. As she moved towards Babel, shadows dripped off her foot, splashing on the ground, causing little shadow splotches. She jumped forward, striking Babel with her claw. Causing Babel to rip apart and fade away, her eyes focused again as she saw the proper Babel pulling its fist back in victory.

Babel smirked as its substitute was destroyed, the thing having taken more damage for the golem than it had put in. It continued to focus, closing its eyes, picturing the arena in black and green, like in Tron, or an old computer screen, or that Homestarrunner game where you battle against Strongbad, I guess. The only proper thing in the arena was Lairon, well, again, sort of. Lairon's heat signatures registering, creating an orange and white pattern in the world of black and green. The Golett's fist began to shine with white light and Babel opened its eyes, taking advantage of Lairon's dumbfoundedness and struck her on the head.

And some more Pseudo-Science crap that I really can't be bothered to reason. Lairon glowed yellow as she tried to oppose the natural charge of the ground or something. However, the localised gravity was so high, she couldn't float and it was all in vain.

Babel moved next. Repeating what it had done this action last round, Babel started to stomp on the floor. Starting with its left leg, it alternated legs with each stomp power and frequency increasing each time. Babel closed its eyes and began to sweat as its stomping caused miniature tremours in the ground, it cracking a little and of course shaking. Soon enough, the shaking got too much for poor Lairon and caused her to be knocked off into one side, causing damage to her.

And, Lairon kicked off the round.

The pseudo-science bullshit happened again as Lairon stored the charge in his body somewhere, the same charge as in the ground, to levitate him, but he couldn't anyway because of the gravity. The fact that a Pokémon that cannot learn electric moves can learn this move is even more annoying.

And even more stupid crap, Babel calling on the Earth's core to get heavier or something, making the gravity stronger. Imagine whatever, it just meant Lairon couldn't float.

Lairon&Babel:
-8 ENG each

Lairon moved next. Closing his eyes tight, he started to focus as he stretched his muscles. One leg at a time, he stretched it out, flexing it. As he did this, the muscle mass increased and the muscles grew thicker. Grinning a little to himself, all of his leg, neck and tail muscles had been thickened, increasing physical capabilities, but decreasing speed.

Babel shrugged, so what if the Lairon is slower? Who cares!? It started to jog around in circles a little, its little clay legs squelching as air bubbles, trapped in the clay, popped as Babel moved. Babel picked up speed as it ran in circles and then turned towards Lairon, charging towards the dragon/dinosaur/steel thing, it then slid on one foot, aiming the foot at the Lairon's noticeably thicker legs, knocking him over onto the floor.

Lairon:
-6 ENG, +1 ATK, +1 DEF, -1 SPE, -12 HP

Babel:
-7 ENG

Lairon closed his eyes and started to focus, his steel getting shinier for a moment.

Babel gave a shrug again, this Lairon wasn't doing anything, better luck for it then. Closing his eyes, the ref's signature saying, it started to concentrate. As it concentrated, its body was surrounded by a light, brown aura. It began to sweat a little as it stretched his arms out, palms flat, facing one another. Between the palms, a small, brown orb of light began to form. It grew oddly, one side stretching out, then another, rather than symmetrical growth. The orb grew bigger and bigger, until Babel lifted it over its head, the ball the size of Babel and growing. Its knees bent and the Golett grunted a little as the ball blasted off towards Lairon, striking him.

Lairon, as Babel had been doing that Dragon Ball like display, had been doing a charging of his own. Within his own steel, he was somehow making the reflection power more powerful, as he did so, his steel grew shinier and shinier, almost blinding to an organic being. He cringed as the massive ball of energy hit him, but his steel absorbed the hit too, weakening the impact on Lairon. He grinned, his shiny, ivory teeth reflective too at the moment, as his steel shone bright, and brighter until he shuddered, roaring as he released the energy outwards, blinding light blasting off from Lairon's body, striking Babel.

Babel attempted to activate Magic Coat, but couldn't due to its banned status! So it just shuddered and frowned.

Ralts smiled wide. Looking up from under his bowl cut, he swaggered over to Babel and grinned wide. He stared into Babel's eyes and started to concentrate, as he concentrated, he started to focus hypnotic energy into his eyes. As he did so, they began to glow orange and brown, the colours alternating in circles. Babel could not help but look into those eyes, his eyes focused on Ralts' eyes. Its eyes started to lull a little, and as Ralts, swayed, it swayed. Ralts reached out with both hands and grabbed at Babel's face, both Pokémon glowing white for a second before the entire show stopped. Ralts pulling away, Babel falling flat on its face.

Ralts:

Ralts grinned again, staring at the sleeping Babel. The evil humanoid wiggled as he climbed up on top of the Golett. He closed his eyes for a second, one of his little undefined hands touching the back of the Golett's head. As he closed his eyes, he began to think of horrid things, nasty things, things you would not want your mother, nor grandmother, seeing. As he thought of these things, both Pokémon started to glow dark purple, the aura rising up like flames. Ralts lifted his head up and revealed his eyes, no irises, glowing bright white. Babel shuddered as the Nightmare started.

Babel continued to sleep, bothered by its horrible dreams.

And Ralts, the maniacal bastard, continued his reign of evil...ness! Hopping off Babel, he closed his eyes tight and began to focus all of the cold energy in his body to his hands. As he did so, his body and his hands especially, started to glow light blue. As he glowed, a light wind whipped up around him, causing a whistling. He opened his eyes, them glowing bright blue as he lifted his arms into the air, the blue glow dissipating. He cried out as the wind carried the blue light, the light forming into snow and ice. Hitting Babel with a mini-barrage of snow and ice.

Babel:

Round Thirteen

And PC kicked off the round, I guess. Switching out Babel for Cerberus.

Ralts shrugged, that meant nothing to him! He closed his eyes and began to focus. As he focused, he started to clear his mind of all obstacles. His mind was blank, black. As he started to think of calming things, like a Library on a Sunday, or a Greggs in Southern England, he started to glow pink. His mental prowess started to grow as the calm things took hold!

Ralts:
-4 ENG, +1 SPA, +1 SPD

And then Cerberus made his debut, trotting up to Ralts, he grinned wide, showing off his shining, ivory fangs. When he got close enough, he started to whisper things, mean things, nasty things about Ralts' Weezing father. He trotted in circles around Ralts as he did so, both Pokémon glowing red just a little as he did so, he made faces at Ralts too, the grin widening asRalts got angrier and angrier.

Ralts, totally pissed off, closed his eyes and started to concentrate. As he concentrated, light energy focused between his hands, as it focused, it conglomerated into a rope of green energy, with a lasso at the end. He started to swing the rope around, causing it to make a sort of whistling sound in the air. Aiming it at Cerberus, he flung it at the Pokémon's leg, dragging him by the rope, knocking him over.

Cerberus:
-6 ENG, -4 HP

Ralts:
-5 ENG, Tormented!

Cerberus grinned again as he closed his eyes, as he closed his eyes, he started to focus some weird, psychohypnotic energy. As he focused this energy, he started to glow with a weird black aura, that's right, glow black! The glow rose off him like flames, he opened his eyes, them glowing white, as he stared into Ralts' eyes. Ralts' eyes glowed white too as the Houndour entered his mind, Ralts gaining the black aura. Cerberus then played with Ralts' mind, causing him to strike himself with his hand. The glow faded as their connection split.

Ralts was too angry to use Grass Knot a second time...for some reason, with no other option, he cried out and thrashed around, striking himself and Cerberus.

Ralts:

Start off by chomping down on Ralts, then follow that with another nefarious attack and finish off by sending out a wave of dark energy

If she tries any status effect/stat-reducing attacks, mock him to stop those and any stat boosts should be taken away for yourself

And I had a feeling from the start that the moves I banned would eventually backfire.
Don't mean to sound bitchy but Ralts should have Iron Fist and the Calm Mind boosts.

Round Fourteen

Cerberus attempted to kick off the round by using Taunt, but due to it being a banned move, he could not!

So, then, Ralts actually kicked off the round I guess. He started to gag and clear his throat, as he cleared his throat, a lump travelled up it, he was accessing the poisons and toxins from his evil sac in his lungs. The lump of poisons landed in his mouth and mixed with a mass of phlegm that was already in there, the poisons mixing with the phlegm to make a horrible tasting purple goop. Ralts cringed at the taste of it and then spat it out at Cerberus. The poisons seeping into his fur and bones.

Cerberus:

Cerberus couldn't Taunt this action either, it was still banned!

Ralts closed his eyes and started to concentrate. As he concentrated, he began to focus all of the electrical energy in his body to his hands, which he had thrusted out. The electricity began to focus at a centre point between his palms, in the air, creating a mass of static and yellow glow. This yellow glow increased and encompassed Ralts too. His entire body glowing yellow as he pushed his palms out one more time, the mass of electrical energy storming out in a wave, hitting Cerberus and causing paralysis.

Cerberus:
Paralysed

Ralts:
-4 ENG

Ralts glared at Houndour and then grinned, this round he was being victorious! He started to kick at the floor, just unsettling the dirt for now, removing the top dry layer of the dirt on the floor, revealing the soft mud underneath. As he continued to kick at the floor, the mud started to kick up with him, the kicking now increasing in intensity and velocity that slaps of it came up, one tumbling towards Houndour, striking him.

Houndour shuddered as paralysis took hold of him.

Cerberus:
-5 HP, -1 ACC

Ralts:
-4 ENG

Cerberus shuddered as he lost health due to poison.
