- Tyranitar has spikes; T. rex does not
- Tyranitar has good posture; T. rex does not
- Tyranitar has proportionate arms; T. rex does not
- T. rex has a long jaw; Tyranitar does not
- T. rex has long legs that lift its body a good distance off the ground; Tyranitar does not
- T. rex has many, many teeth; Tyranitar does not

CONCLUSION: Besides the fact that they're big bipedal reptiles, T. rex and Tyranitar don't really resemble one another. So we still don't have a T. rex Pokemon.

The next fossils need to be non-standard extinct pokemon. The last two were a prehistoric sea turtle and an Archaeopteryx. Aerodactyl, Cranidos and Sheildon are obviously dinosaurs. Omanyte and Kabuto were based on the most well known of fossils.
Lileep and Anorith were something different. I want fossils like these again.

Or failing that, a Dodo.

As for teeth, T-tar has teef ;_; They just pop out when they're needed. But when you eat pokefood, they're usually not needed.

Uhh the jaw. Pfft what, where's that pic...can't find it. But Mandible size can't be a indicator. In that same vein you'd be saying Aggron isin't a Titanoceratops/Udanoceratops blend

Okay so pokemon now have mega forms/evolutions WHAT THIS IS COMPLETELY STUPID



The only three of the designs I like are Lucario, Mawile and Blaziken, the rest just look like designs a 13 year old made... Like, they gave absol wings and a longer fringe, and just added hair to ampharos (who is now a dragon type WAT); just... ugh. Why do this Nintendo. And the new Pokemon are kinda stupid too; one looks ridiculously like a mixture of Raichu and Marill, one just looks like a bunny bidoof (which is a shame, I wanted another rabbit pokemon but not one that looked stupid) and gogoat's prevo just looks, well, exactly how you'd expect it to. A mini gogoat. Way to lower my design expectations, Nintendo!

Please tell me this is a bloody joke, this is putting me off X and Y now. Mawile and Blaziken look cool, Lucario is so-so, but they've just THROWN HAIR ON ABSOL AND AMPHAROS. Okay, Absol has wings, too and now he's growing on me. But Ampharos looks ridiculous.

However, the more I look at them, the more they're growing on me. Apart from Ampharos and the hair.

We'll just have to see how it plays out in-game. Maybe there should be purchasable Mega Stones to use in battle?

We've discussed introducing purchasable items (beyond eggs/Small and Large Stones) into our ASB a few times, but iirc the general consensus was that it would be too difficult to keep track of who's bought what and it only stands to benefit wealthy veterans (who usually already have the upperhand in battle) so it's not worthwhile. So whether that would apply to introducing Mega Stones, idk.
