You start to tell your new Zoroark acquaintance that you'll catch him at the end of your quest—but suddenly, he grabs you by your collar and starts shaking you about.

"Wake up! Please, for the love of Arceus, wake up!"

Huh?

Your eyes open. You find yourself still in Skyline Terrace, except now there's a Sudowoodo holding you and shaking you about like a Polaroid picture. Another Sudowoodo stands by his side sobbing uncontrollably.



"Wake up! Why won't you just wake up?" he exclaims, failing to notice that your eyes have opened.

"We've killed him!" the second Sudowoodo wails. "Yes, killed him! We're going to jail! Do you know what they'll do to a hot young Sudowoodo like me in prison? Do you?"

"Wait, I've got it... I can give him mouth-to-mouth!" the first Sudowoodo says. "Here, let me try..."

You then spend the next few seconds desperately trying to fight off Sudowoodo's attempt to get to first base with you. When the bonsai trees have realized you're awake, they throw up their arms in celebration. You glance over to see your Pokemon standing by your side with looks of relief on their faces. You also see the Safari Zone's Abra attendant with you.



"I'm so happy you've come to!" Abra says. "I can't apologize enough for what happened. When I Teleported you and your Pokemon into the Zone, we ended up materializing right in between these two Sudowoodo who were having a friendly Pokemon battle. Just as we appeared, one of them let a Rock Throw fly and it collided with your head."

You suddenly notice a dull ache at the back of your skull. You touch it and feel one heck of a goose egg. Your memories of the Farfetch'd and Zoroark and everything else you encountered while you were unconscious already start to feel vague and distant.

"We'd best put this behind us," Abra continues. "To apologize for this horrible mistake, we hope you will accept this complementary Great Ball on our behalf. Oh, uh, and if you could sign this waiver to absolve the Safari Zone and its parent company from blame over this freak accident, that would be, er, just dandy."

She holds out a Great Ball, a legal document and a pen.

Looking around, you see a number of exhibits scattered around this part of the museum. Most of the exhibits feature various evolutionary stones and shards, while a few of them off super-valuable items like the Dragon Stones and the Magma Stone. Interestingly, none of the other patrons seem to be particularly interested in these things. Instead, in the far-left corner, you see a very number of patrons huddled around one particular exhibit. They're blocking your view and you can't tell what it is they're looking at. Meanwhile, in the far-right corner, standing all by herself, is a Pangoro. Just because, I guess.

While you idly check out a Float Stone exhibit and wonder whether this entire day might be a total waste, you suddenly hear a series of distant bangs coming from far off in the museum. The floor quivers slightly. The museum patrons all seem confused and mildly alarmed. They look toward the docent, as if expecting her to know what's going on.



"Er... stay calm, everyone," Marceline says. "I'm sure... that's normal..."

The only one who doesn't seem bothered by these events is Pangoro, who continues to hold her ground in the far corner.

A swell of bodies presses into you as the Pokemon at the Mega Stone display start blindly stampeding toward the exit. Suddenly, a rather large Pokemon slams into your hard, sending you flying. You collide with a glass display case, causing it to shatter. Bits of glass spray you painfully. You feel cuts on your right shoulder and face.

Deciding that the museum will probably forgive you for sneaking in a few Pokemon given the fact that they clearly have bigger things to worry about, you reach for Animikii's ball from your belt... but can't find it, nor the others. You realize they must have detached when you were tackled. You begin to blindly grope around your surroundings.

At this point, judging by the relative quiet, most of the Pokemon on this floor have managed to escape. As you search for your Pokeballs, you hear two voices in hushed conversation. One of them belongs to Pangoro, but you can't identify the other.

"How did Perry and Quinn make out?" Pangoro asks.

"Well, the power's out, isn't it?" the other voice says. "It took a few Boombursts, but Perry got it. And Quinn got the guards all tangled up nicely. Now, quickly... were you able to detect any extra security measures?"

"Nothing that can't run without power," Pangoro says. "Only thing is, I can't see worth a damn."

"I've got this," the other voice says.

Suddenly, a Flash of light erupts from the corner. You glance up to see Pangoro with a glowing Chimecho by her side.



They take a step in the direction of the Mega Stone exhibit and stop when they see you. Using this extra light, you quickly scan your surroundings for any sign of your Pokeballs. You find one six or seven feet from you. You jump for it and give it a toss, not sure which Pokemon it might contain. Sure enough, your 33% chance of sending Animikii into battle proves favourable. Your Zapdos emerges in a burst of light.

Time to teach these goons a lesson. Animikii pops with electric current as it releases a pair of humming Thunder Waves. Both Pangoro and Chimecho twitch as if they want to use a defensive maneuver but can't think of what to do. The Thunder Waves make contact and the duo succumbs to Paralysis. As their bodies go rigid, you notice the sack in Pangoro's paws starting to slide out of her grip. The sack falls and out tumbles a number of dark spheres.

"The Smoke Balls!" Chimecho shouts through gritted teeth as a dozen of the spheres burst, causing an impenetrable black cloud to fill the room. Once again, you're left in total blackness. You inhale a mouthful of smoke and double over coughing.

"Quick, use Heal Bell!" Pangoro shouts through coughs of her own.

"I'm trying!" Chimecho exclaims. "I'm getting nothing but Parahax!"

"Brought down by an OU," Pangoro grunts. "How typical."

Time to exact a little Judgment. Animikii lets out an otherworldly wail and, through the thinning smoke, you can see a pillar of pink light splitting through the ceiling and coming down hard on Pangoro. She lets out a cry of pain. Welp. Can't say she didn't deserve it.

Suddenly, a ringing noise fills the air. You recognize this as Chimecho's Heal Bell. He rises up into the air once more as Paralysis leaves his body. Pangoro seems to be similarly cured.

As this happens, you notice two more figures in the doorway.



Vespiquen's forehead jewel glows red as it emits a burst of light. A Confuse Ray whips across the field and collides with Animikii, who becomes slightly deranged all of a sudden.

"Perry, Quinn... about time you showed up," Pangoro says, slowly rising to her feet.
