You soon find your pack and, after a bit more searching, you locate Perseus's and Zyuu's Pokeballs as well. Excellent! You give them a toss, sending your Pokemon into battle against Chimecho, Chatot, Vespiquen and... Pangoro?

You look around for Pangoro, who seems to have left the battle. Glancing over, you see her by the Mega Stone display. You watch as she busts open the glass with a Rock Smash and begins shoveling the Mega Stones into her sack.

Just as Pangoro scoops the last of the Mega Stones into her sack, Perseus fixes her in place with a Disable. He follows that up with a pair of iridescent energy blasts, ripping the HP clear out of her. Meanwhile, Zyuu brings out some brute force. Quinn successfully Protects against the first of his rocky attacks, but her next Protect fails. As Zyuu hits her with Stone Edge after Stone Edge, Animikii sets his sights on Perry. However, Confusion gets the best of your Zapdos, causing it to attack itself. It then gives its heads a shake, ridding itself of Confusion. It rips into a Chimecho with some double Signal Beam actions. All things considered, the bandits seem to be pretty below-average battlers.

However, since Perry was spared from that blitz of attacks, he's free to do what he wants. He looks at Pangoro, who's held in place by Disable with the Mega Stones in hand. He swoops across the room and snatches up the bag of goods in his beak.

Suddenly, the ceiling lights flicker on. You hear an automated voice over a loudspeaker.

"Auxiliary power established. Security gates deploying in 4, 3, 2, 1..."

You look over at the exit. Iron bars descend from the top of the doorway, ceiling off the floor. At the same time, Pangoro seems to have been finally freed from Disable. She leaps on top of Perseus and appears to be trying to strangle him to death. Hrm. Pretty sure that's not part of her official movepool.

The melee presses on as your opponents rapidly shed even more health. Perseus Teleports out from under Pangoro and fixes her with another pair of brilliant light blasts. Meanwhile, the game of hot potato with the sack of Mega Stones continues. Perry takes a triple Thunderbolt blast, but successfully passes off the bag of goods to Chimecho. Meanwhile, Zyuu maintains his Stone Edge assault, even scoring a critical hit on one of them. However, Quinn shields her eyes against the attacks and calls out a trio of Heal Orders. Swarms of bumblebees descend into the room from the hole in the ceiling opened up by Animikii's Judgment and begin to heal their mistress, offsetting most of the damage from Zyuu's three Stone Edges.

Chimecho then looks up at the hole of the ceiling with a gleam of victory in his eyes.

"Comrades, fall back! Escape through the gap!" he shouts as he Levitates upward, toting the bag of Mega Stones. Weary but not defeated, Perry and Quinn escape with him.

"What about me?" Pangoro bellows, watching as her allies disappear without her. She waves her arms in the air, perhaps out of anger, perhaps out of desperation to be airborne. "What about me, you fools?"

She lets out a roar, trudges over to the wall opposite the doorway and begins attacking it with Hammer Arm after Hammer Arm after Hammer Arm. Cracks begin to appear in the wall and sheets of stone start to crumble away.

At that moment, you see a crowd of figures assembling outside the room. They're all wearing identical security badges and are covered in bits of what looks to be String Shot.



"What in the name of Arceus is going on here?" the middle Exeggutor asks through the iron bars blocking the doorway.

You give a brief explanation as you recall Zyuu and Animikii. Perseus Teleports you up one level and you soon find yourself on the Air and Space Floor. Replicas of space shuttles and jet planes litter the floor. You see a large diagram explaining the internal workings of Golurk's propulsion system as well as a large container of rocket fuel. No sign of the thieves. As expected, there's a hole in this floor's ceiling as well.

Outside the room, you hear the Exeggutor security guards scrambling up the stairs from the fifth floor to the sixth. They stop outside the iron bars that are currently sealing off this floor's doorway as well.



"Freeze, Pokemon trainer, or we attack!" the middle one growls.

Meanwhile, you can hear Pangoro continuing her attempt to Hammer open a hole in the fifth floor wall.

"Almost... there..." she pants from somewhere down below.

You give your command and Perseus Teleports again. This time you appear on the roof of the building as a cold breeze tickles your face. Scanning the surrounding area, you see a number of emergency crews have gathered outside the museum in response to the attack. Sure enough, off in the distance, you can make out the shapes of a Chimecho, Chatot and Vespiquen flying away.

A flash of light appears as the Exeggutor guards Teleport onto the roof as well.



"Some perps just don't listen," the middle Exeggutor grunts. "Deploy the explosives!"

A barrage of Egg Bombs fly toward Perseus. They explode upon contact, injuring your Gallade and busting open another hole in the museum's roof. Perseus tumbles down to the floor below—the sixth—and lands on a desk in what looks to be an administrative office. He lets out a pained grunt.

A fleet of birds shoots up into the sky from the emergency crews that have gathered outside the museum. Nine Hoothoot, led by a single Noctowl, form an aerial blockade in front of you.






"Stop! I am Commissioner Noctowl of the Skyline Terrace Police Force!" Noctowl shouts boldly. "You are under arrest! Resistance is futile!"

Well, they're definitely making resistance difficult, but you doubt it's futile.

Perseus adds injury to insult by burying them in a Rock Slide, preventing them from pursuing you. Success! With that, you shoot off into the distance, leaving Skyline Terrace behind. You see that you're not far from the border where Skyline Terrace turns into Ivy Woods.

You scan the horizon, which is difficult, as the sun is now starting to set. You're pretty sure you see an airborne speck way off in the distance straight ahead of you, but you also see another speck just a couple of clicks west of that. At the same time, you're aware that neither speck might be the bandits. They could have easily descended into the Ivy Woods foliage not far ahead.

As the battle wages on, Senka and Father escalate their chant to a near-yell. Soon, their bodies begin to take on an ominous glow.



"We've done it!" Senka shrieks. "We've done it!"

The room hums with an unnameable energy. You watch as Cobalion's body on the dais begins to glow. Strangely, Elegance's body does the same.

A whooshing noise echoes around the temple as you begin to grow weak and dizzy. The room fills with light, then all goes black.

Next thing you know, you're sprawled out on a cold, hard surface with your eyes closed. Was this all a terrible dream? Will you open your eyes to discover that you are once again at the beginning of your Safari Adventcha, ready to start fresh? As it turns out, you have no such luck. When you open your eyes and look around, you find yourself on the temple floor. Senka and Father are nowhere to be seen, nor are the Ghosts they conjured into existence. You see Vigilance's and Darwin's motionless bodies lying prostrate on the floor beside you. Cobalion's body is no longer in the temple. Elegance is absent as well.

Welp. This ain't good.

"That's the thing. This was all Eckhart's idea, and he didn't 100% trust anyone but himself," Pangoro says, gruffly. "He's the Chimecho you met at the museum, see. I guess I should back up... Eckhart, Perry, Quinn and I are all part of the Safari Zone Battling League. We're a massive group of Pokemon from all over that gets together every month to hone our battle skills in tournaments. Eckhart, Perry, Quinn and I are all part of the NU tier, and let me tell you, it's not the easiest. We're the weakest of the bunch, and even if you win an NU battle—which we never do—nobody really gives a Mankey's ass, because all it means is that you're the best of the worst. Anyway, we all caught word of these newly discovered Mega Stone things, which can boost a Pokemon's power to crazy levels. This Kangaskhan I know from the NU tier gets to compete in Ubers if she ever gets her hands on some Kangaskhanite. Eckhart, Perry, Quinn and I were all excited... until the list of available Mega Stones was published. No Chimechite, no Chatotite, no Vespiquite and there sure as hell isn't a Pangorite. However, out of nowhere, Eckhart got us together and said there's a way we can change that, and all we needed was a little bit of 'leverage.' I don't know what he meant by that word, but he explained if we got our hands on some Mega Stones—any Mega Stones—he could make our dreams come true. That's why we pulled the heist. The museum's collection was the only bunch of Mega Stones we knew about. I pushed him to explain, but he was cagey with the details. You know how Chimecho are. When I pestered him, all he said was that everything would make sense once we found Diancie. And that's all I know. I guess they're going to find Diancie, but as for where it might be... I have no clue."
