I only used one move that is affected by you having Filter... Just throwing that out there...

HOW IS SPOINK STILL ALIVE?!
I MUST VANQUISH THE PIG
Let's just go with a shadow sneak until it's down; if it protects/detects successfully, just relax. Take Frisk as an ability.
OK... A bunch of annoying questions for Oslo. Sorry in advance.
1) How does swapping work, both in general, and in this battle? Assuming we swap as a move (I think you use the same method DL does), do we declare two abilities, one for the pokemon swapping out, and one for the pokemon swapping in?
2) If we use an ability that works when the pokemon comes in (such as Frisk), how does that work here?
3) Looking at the list of abilities... How does Multitype work?
1) In general, yeah, swapping costs an action and the Pokemon leaving play will be locked in as one of the trainer's selections. In this battle, Pokemon swapping into play do not get an ability from the Ability Room, as the Ability Room can only give out an ability at the very beginning of a round. The Pokemon swapping out would be eligible to receive an ability from the Ability Room, but the Pokemon swapping in would not get an ability at all, not even its natural ability.
2) Frisk would activate as soon as the Pokemon receives it from the Ability Room.
3) Multitype fails on any Pokemon besides Arceus.

OK... So, in that case, we only have one hope, and that's for Frisk to deal 1 or 2 damage. So... either way, we'll take Static as the ability, which, by the way that Frisk is worded, should trigger.
If... somehow, you survive the Frisking... GET OUT!!! Swap out for DARKRAI. My ungendered Darkrai. (Yes, really original nickname, I know) Then Darkrai can Dark Void until he's asleep, and then Nightmare.
Ability: Static
Swap to Darkrai ~ Dark Void ~ Nightmare/Dark Void
Of course, this is all pointless if Frisk kills the immortal Spoink.
Also, a mate has been informed of this battle and believes that the reason Spoink is so powerful is because a gym leader (Oslo) gave it to me.![]()

I was under the impression that Insomnia only prevents the pokemon from being put to sleep, it doesn't wake them up if they gain the ability after being put to sleep.
Of course, if the way that the ability room works is different, then that's cool. But just wanted to get clarification.
From Bulbapedia: A Pokémon with this Ability will wake up if it is asleep in battle (such as if it gains the Ability outside of battle or by an effect like Skill Swap, or is put to sleep by a Pokémon with an Ability like Mold Breaker).
OK. All good.
Hmmmmm... Take stance change.
