1 - No one's using a puzzle solving program here
2 - Wild guess 'till your heart's content, but just make sure you have the right number of letters. My word is 9 letters, not 8.

Of course, that's a hypothetical situation. It's best not to spend 5 hours straight playing a forum game. There must be other things you need to do.

What does 'neither of any 2' mean?

You said that one of the things eliminated was "any 2 of those letters in the right place". I guess logically that can be read as 'from any arbitrary two, neither are in the right place'. But I guess that's also kind of a stretch. Plus, when I first read it, I thought it was referring to the '2 misplaced', since the second statement was referring to the 1 right, but now I realize they were both referring to the latter which make way more sense (not more than 1).


Anyway... just wanted to respond to your question as I have yet to look over the words to make an educated guess. But since I'm already here and posting, let's throw out an uneducated one?

I would think 'from any arbitrary two, neither are in the right place' is a convoluted way of saying 'no letters are in the right place', but in any case I'm glad you understood what I meant.
