    Default Gasp!

    Gasp! Pokeblock overdose!
Gasp! Human is still a soulless bastard!
Gasp! Krazy man is going to pop the Mewtwo town!
    Gasp! LEMONY FRESHNESS!
    Gasp! Newmew! Too kwet!

If I was Acciaio, I woulda ditched that annoying meaty human the first chance I got. Also, Magi has kooky dreams. KOOKY dreams indeed.

    AND....Year O' da Clones! WHEE!

Will Marty ever change? Hmmm.... Although, I wonder why Inara would have a Pokemon that evolves into what seems to be the number one enemy of Mewtwo. Maybe she beleived that she could train it to be something other than a killer? Although knowing Marty, he'd probably just laugh evily as it slaughtered innocent Mewtwo.

So, when Mewtwo get beat up, like in Acciaio's case, do they heal themselves via technology like people do with their pokemon, or do they heal the normal way, with medicine (Well, that can still be considered technology, depending on what kind of medicine is used.) and waiting? Also, I wonder why they don't have human healing machines yet... Maybe because you can't capture humans? But now I'm straying off topic...

As for Magi... I didn't know that's why Pokemon could only eat a certain amount of Pokeblocks. Althugh eating too much of anything will make you sick, it's easily more likely that something that can change your appearance would be dangerous if taken in large quantities.

Maybe Magi can get some answers from the Lost Kami? Hmm... I guess I'll have to see when the time comes.

Well, this chapter was very interesting, and you managed the switching form various viewpoints very well. I'll be waiting for the next chapter. Keep it up!

I loved this chapter, there is so much darkness. The cyboric battle was great, and how Marty distroyed it.
As for joe's part, knew that cheaters never win.
Magi seems like the dreams are going to make her insane if she keeps having them.

And for the NewMew, your rock and kick mewtwo's arse.
If something is wrong, please say so.

    Default Bye!

*huggles* Thankee for requesting that pic CM! ^^

(The following writing contains slight spoilers!)

    And now, an announcement...

*Walks away* *comes back dragging and shoving many of her main characters, who are all wearing sombreros, in front of her readers*

    Me: I'm going to Mexico this week! I will be building homes for people who do not have them, and will most likely be burned alive from the sun or die of sickness or injury. ^^;; Perhaps next weekend when I get back I'll be able to finish before my parents drag my tattered remains into a vacation of roller coasters... oo;;

Marty: *wearing a sombrero with pink edges* Don't say a word...

Acciaio: *stifles a chuckle* That suits you perfectly, human...

    Ashes: *wearing a Mexican hat and shirt* Well, this is the oddest situation I've ever been put in... oo;;

Magi and Keshaa: *both hidden under a rather large sombrero* hello? We're stuck!

Currently nameless cloaked villain: *also wearing a pink edged sombrero* I'm going to kill Shadowed Mewtwo for this when she gets back...

    Brute and Keahi: *wearing little sombreros* oO;;

Evil figure's two Darcmu: *look over at Ashes and Acciaio* Heheh... *lick lips*

    Ashes and Acciaio: OO;;;;;;;;

Kidea (As a Darcmu! Woo!): *growls* Leave them alone! I'm not afraid to fight you two...

Marty: *notices Acciaio is wearing no sombrero* HEY!!! That's not fair! Why isn't Aio wearing a hat?!

    Acciaio: Because I'm special...

    Might: A creature as powerful as I should not have to go through such embarrassment... -_-;;

Slave: I dunno, these are kinda nice! It is hot out, and they are well made...

Foul: *is staring at Marty* If Shadowed Mewtwo had not instructed me otherwise, you would be dead...

    Marty: oo;; Why?

Foul: ALL HUMANS MUST DIE!!! *blows up the area they're in in a sudden surge of anger*

*all Kamis make a Barrier to shield everyone else from the brutal attack*

Me: ^^;; Well, this was a bad idea...

Beside that: ROTFLOL! Such a funny spoiler, what a gag!

Anyway, have a ... time building homes! See ya in a week... or if not, enjoy the rollercoasters, and don't look down when you're at the big drop, if you don't want to!

You did it just to spite me, didn't ya? I struggle to get back to TPM, and you're in Mexico?! Too cruel.

Well campers, I've done her one up though.

    I'm in Japan.

I might be back later, I'll be home in a few weeks, so "look forward" to my comments then.

And remember SM, while you're catching Runpapas I'll be raking in Daatengus. DAATENGUS! Mwahahaha.

I hope you have fun. Although... I don't know how much fun it is to build houses, but the great feeling knowing that you helped a whole bunch of people will be one you probably won't forget.

So... That was a funny and interesting spoliery thing. ^_^ But, does this mean we all have to wear sombreros and such for the next week too? Hmmm...

    Default (My Review)

Hey all. I thought SM might want a copy of this here, I think I did it justice... I couldn't have given it 10/10 just because I liked it, but I think a 9 was justified. If you don't want it though SM, just say the word and I'll delete it out of your sight.

    Weak Might.

Before we start out, may I be so bold as to say that Weak Might must be rated as two fics at present. If you have read it, or are reading it, you'll no that part one deals with the adventures of Magi (amongst others), a smart magikarp in the depths of the see. While this aspect is still kept up in Part 2, not only is it moved asside, but they are no longer in the wild, and so it's not exactly the same story for them. The other story in part 2 covers the Trainer Story of Marty, which takes place in the futuristic society where Mewtwo live as equals with humans. Marty, however, being a specist biggot. So, moving on...

    Part 1

    Rating: 9

    Rating Chart

-Plot 17/20 points: The plot is an important factor in WM, always keeping you on the edge of your seat, whether it's because Magi and Keesha are in mortal peryl, or just because you're eager to see if things will start going Magi's way for once.

-Plot Originality 9/10 points: The plot twists are indeed vastly unseen, usually I find, because I at least, am willing it to go in another direction, but that's not to say everything could still be forseen. The introduction of new characters, and sometimes their behaviour is always just waiting to throw you.

-Writing Style 12/20 points: Weak Might (Part 1), had to loose some points here, but it's not because of the writer. Everything is at the bottom of the sea, so we very quickly get that image, and otherwise theirs not much else to describe, loaction-wise. The conversations are quite good, and I'd say indicitave of pokemon, but again, being pokemon, we're not getting a quite full gammet of emotion, so theirs not always much to describe. However, what does need written is written well.

-Grammar 8/10 points: I remember occaisional errors, but otherwise, reffreshingly accurate in its use of the english language.

-Spelling 9/10 points): If I could deduct points for using american spellings I would... but otherwise, I remember everything being pretty much fine, the spelling errors that their were were typos.

-Characters 10/10 points: there are many characters, each of whom are all distinctly different, from Magi, the curious Magikarp with the odd will to become smart, to Rays, a sympathetic, if naïve (at times) Chinchou. The development of the characters is very good too, Magi growing smart, Keesha growing frustrated at his injuries, or Stripfang, a gyrados who starts to grow a heart (metaphorically.)

-Settings 8/10 points: While you could dismiss it as just the bottom of the sea for this one, Weak Might also describes perfectly the different undersea society's, from the Magikarp schools, to loaned Gyrados, to the barbaric Hor/Sea/Kingdra city. The fact that their aren't so many of these brings it down, as a pesemist could still call it a fluke.

-Overall Apreciation 10/10 points: Most importantly, Weak Might has that “Je ne ses quas” (SP?), a certain something like Harry Potter that makes it addictive. Even if you don't particularly enjoy a single chapter, you'll never stop wanting to read the next one.

    Final Result 84 (%)

Closing advice: The only advice I could give is to have continued the story underwater.

    ~*~Chapter 23~*~

The Lost Kami had finally stopped crying. She now hung limply in the nothingness, absorbed in the sorrow of the memory of her father. How long ago had it been since she had allowed such things to enter her pained mind? And what was this Magikarp doing here, proclaiming it knew her father when SHE knew he had been dead for fifty years?! Foul the Seer… Could it possibly be able to communicate to the deceased? Was that why it was here, in the empty void that souls sometimes find themselves stuck in when they are almost dead but not quite? Or was it for some reason dying…

Magi watched the silver and black Mewtwo calm down and turn to study her suspiciously. Thankfully, the wild violence the Kami had once had was now absent, and she did not seem to want to kill her anymore. She watched her expression change from suspicion to surprise to sorrow to an odd mixture of eagerness and fear. Then she stopped crying completely. Slowly, deliberately, the Kami straightened herself and lowered her golden arms to her sides.

“You swear you have met my father? My DEAD father, who left this world long ago? A big shining yellow Mewtwo with three black scars down the left of his face and a blind eye? His tail and stomach are a reddish brown, and toward the base of his tail it fades to a dark dark almost mustard yellow. He also has a nick in his right ear.”

Magi frowned as she tried to think of such specific details, but she found her poor memory blurred his features.
“I don’t remember,” she finally said, feeling guilty. “I don’t think I paid that much attention to details. I’ve… never seen a ‘Mewtwo’ before I saw him.” The two female Pokemon looked at each other for a moment leaving an oppressing silence. Then the Lost Kami spoke again.
“Were you awed by his glimmering beauty? Did he look at you with eyes so dark you could hardly tell they were blue, yet they filled you with peace and content? Did he have a long black scar down the center of his face? Those things are what I remember of my father most.”

Magi was surprised at how right she was about how the Gold Kami made her feel inside. She was also relieved to recognize the mental image of the black scar that stood out so plainly on his golden face. As she pictured the details, the rest of his features cleared up, and she say him as though he were standing there right at that moment. The sight of him relieved her of her stress.
“Yes, that is him…” She murmured softly, remembering his smile, remembering his pain… Where was he?

“Then you can communicate with the dead.”

The statement struck Magi hard. ‘Communicate with the dead’?! What in the world??? Ashes wasn’t dead! He was alive, and he had saved her! He had spoken to her like he knew her, and she had had to watch the agony he would have to go through in the future!

Or… had all that she dreamt happened in the past…

“He’s… dead…?” Magi questioned, not wanting to believe it. Shadow, the Lost Kami, nodded her head slowly. Pain was beginning to fill her features.
“He died fifty years ago for saving our enemy…”

Magi was even more confused. Enemy? Their enemy? Or just his and her enemy? What was this enemy? Had it attacked him, or someone else? What in the world was she talking about?!

However, Shadow did not leave such an odd sentence hanging, and sorrowfully began to explain. In her vast knowledge, the Kami explained almost everything, as though she knew Magi knew nothing.
“There is a monster that was cloned from Mewtwos to destroy Mewtwos… It nearly did once, if a Shining blue Mew had not been born specifically to destroy it. That was long past, though, and is a practically forgotten time when there was no Mewtopia and only a few Mewtwos cloned from Mewtwo by Mewtwo.” The Lost Kami nearly got off topic with her great knowledge of the past, but caught herself before overwhelming Magi completely with more information than the Magikarp could handle. Instead she merely skimmed her species’ past so that Magi could have a firm grip on what she was getting into.
“Well, at first there was only one Darcmu, and that Darcmu almost wiped out our breed. Even surviving and winning the first attack of them, our numbers had been dwindled to about three or four and they were all males, so doom was upon us. However, the horrible slaughter also brought attention to what few Mewtwos there were, and humans began to clone us and created females so that we could continue on our own. Giovanni also began to clone like mad, making horrific monsters of Mewtwos and hybrids of anything he could to try and make the perfect bio-weapon.

“During that time, however, while the Mewtwo’s numbers grew, the single Darcmu fell in love with a Houndoom, and together they made many little NewMew that grew into Darcmu themselves. Their numbers increased, but they did not hunt Mewtwos until they felt sure of their numbers. Then, they made a surprise attack and nearly succeeded in wiping the Mewtwo race out a second time. If it weren’t for the Ice Kami, we would all be dead. However, if it weren’t for my father, the Ice Kami would have succeeded in destroying every Darcmu alive. Such an act caused him his life…” Shadow hung her head, unable to say more.

Such an end sounded slightly like the Magikarp’s dreams…

The thought made Magi want to weep.

    ~*~*~

Walking slowly through the forest were two figures: one of a young male human, and one of a young male Mewtwo. The two made a horrible racket, and so much noise kept all Pokemon away from them. This wasn’t that bad a decision.

Marty walked along as fast as he could, his new NewMew on his shoulder. Kidea, whose name was simply the first halves of the words “Kind Death”, had quickly won her master’s appreciation, though she hadn’t actually done anything herself. It was more of what her presence had done to the boy’s assigned traveling partner that made him so happy to have her.

Acciaio had automatically lost when he became too frightened to battle at the sight of the baby Darcmu. The cyborg Mewtwo now had to accept his fate, and stumbled behind Marty without complaint. However, the thought of being a Mewtwo hater’s slave was far from appealing.

A rope was tied around his main neck and had already been pulled so hard his skin was raw. He was also still weak and completely helpless—his real arm was badly injured from the dark blade and his mechanical arm was broken at the elbow where he could no longer use it. He was very much at Marty’s mercy, and was frightened to realize that if he was not given some sort of treatment to revive himself he was doomed to die.

Marty gave no sign that he cared.

“Keep up, Mewtwo,” the boy growled as Acciaio stumbled for the hundredth time that day. The Mewtwo silently complied as best he could, too hurt and frightened to really care about how low he looked. Besides, even if he had been healthier, prouder, more ready to resist, Kidea crumbled every bit of his will. He had no choice but to obey and pray that he didn’t make Marty angry enough to have the NewMew attack him.

They continued their unmerciful pace until nightfall.

    ~*~*~

The two days went horribly slow for the eager poacher, but he had learned the importance of patience long ago, and did not hurry in his task. He removed his cloak only to bathe and feed, and made sure to hide himself in the shadows of the forest when he did so. He would let not even his own Pokemon see himself.

His Darcmu for the most part simply wandered, and would sometimes come back with a nice little fur from some rare Pokemon, perfectly cut off so their master could sell it. However, they were only praised when they managed a Mewtwo pelt, though this was difficult for them, and were often sent back with their long tails tucked between their legs like some abused Growlithe. Their master had no pity for them.

However, the Darcmu were welcomed the second day as their trainer declared it the day of their hunt. The black shadows of Pokemon flashed their teeth in bloodthirsty grins and their eyes glowed a horrible pale green in their violent delight at his decision. He grinned back at them, though his smile was hidden in the darkness of his cloak. Then, they began their plan…

    ~*~*~

Zac was very close to getting a haircut. He hated that it was the “fashion for hybrids today” to let their hair grow long no matter what age or gender they were. His hair was driving him crazy! It went in all directions and was too thick for a comb to do anything—the best he could do was to put it in a poorly made pony tail. That made him feel like a girl!

Zac glanced at the black blade which he had left on his dresser. The thing looked long and deadly… a perfect Mewtwo killer. But it could also be used for good things if in the proper hands… like haircuts…

The Mewtwo hybrid shook his head and covered his furry human face. He didn’t dare touch that thing again, since while going home he had accidentally cut himself with it. The wound felt like it had been made with an evil ice that could never melt, and indeed, the pain still hadn’t gone away. It was disturbing how his flesh turned black from the blade…

Zac shivered at the sight and turned away. It was just a little cut, but it had been enough to teach him the danger of such a deadly blade. He would not use it even for fashion emergencies, no matter how great they were. He would just have to live with long hair.

The hybrid easily made his ponytail with slender human fingers, then grabbed the picture he had gotten from Marty’s bed and dashed to the other side of the hallway where Inara slept. It was morning, true, but she was a Mewtwo, and Mewtwo usually awoke at the crack of dawn unless they were injured or something. She had recovered enough where such things shouldn’t keep her in slumber.

Still, Zac was polite and opened the door quietly to see if she was indeed awake.

Inara was very much awake and was limping around the room sobbing over everything that had happened. She was a depressing sight, what with her new scars and still unhealed bruises, but she would come out okay in the end. Zac’s father, being a Mewtwo like Inara, knew exactly how to heal such injuries as the ones she had acquired. His dad was as stubborn as anything and had refused to take Inara to a hospital, but the female Mewtwo had actually been very happy to stay in the mixed family’s house. Only recently had she started becoming depressed with how she had been used in what she had once considered her family.

Zac was afraid to bother her, seeing her so miserable. Her slender body shook as she continued to cry, and her dark violet eyes were soaked with a never-ending stream a tears.
This is the story of a girl,
Who cried a river and drowned the whole world…
” Zac sang with a quiet sadness as he watched his guest. The hybrid sorrowfully decided to leave Inara alone after witnessing her state, and accepted his lack of knowledge of Marty’s real mother. Such questions would probably make Inara feel even worse.

Yet as Zac turned to leave Inara heard him shut the door, and invited him inside. The Mewtwo human mix looked carefully into the room and gave a sheepish grin before accepting her offer. He walked in carefully, feeling as awkward with a crying Mewtwo as he had felt with Marty’s dad. Yet he knew Inara could be trusted, for he had met her before and always loved how gentle she was for a Mewtwo.

Indeed, Inara sat there on her bed at that moment with a loving grin on her face despite the tears that still fell down her cheeks. She welcomed Zac and thanked him sincerely for letting her stay at his house, and asked about his father and mother. It was small talk, but it helped Inara out as they chatted about little things, like Pokemon training and things that were going on in the town.

Inara cheered up greatly as she chatted with Zac, and her pleasure of his company surprised him. She lost all sadness in no time, and was soon as content as ever. She played with his hair and made it a little neater for him, then gave him tips on how to keep his fur straight. They talked for a long time, for Zac was unsure how to raise the questions he had. The picture he hid.

Finally, though, the young boy began his questions.
“Um… Inara…” he began uncertainly as he watched her brush his tail.
“Yes?” she asked pleasantly, not looking up. Zac gulped.
“What… was in the Ultra Ball?” It wasn’t the question he had planned to ask. In fact, he hadn’t thought of the Ultra Ball until now, and the chosen topic surprised him. It also surprised Inara. She looked at him uncomfortably, and she answered in telepathic speech as though she wanted no one to overhear their conversation anymore.
{Why do you want to know?} She sounded awkward. Zac, noting her change in speech, also switched to telepathy.
    {I don’t know, Inara… It just popped up in my head. What could you possibly give to Marty that has to be captured in an Ultra Ball? Wouldn’t a powerful Pokemon hurt him?}

Inara set the brush down between them and studied Zac quietly. Her smile was gone, and her pleasantness went with it. It was clear she did not want to talk about the gift.
{This Pokemon I would trust with my life} She said quietly. {She is more intelligent than any starter he could receive, and she loves everyone no matter how many badges they have. We had a deep bond together that let me get to know her more than anyone else.} Now Zac was interested.
    {Why give such a valuable friend to Marty? He doesn’t exactly respect Pokemon… or hybrids…}
    {Marty loves Pokemon as much as any boy his age. He just hates Mewtwos, though I don’t know why. I know he’ll take good care of Kidea…}
{Kidea?} Zac had never heard such a name before. Inara squirmed uncomfortably before answering.
{It’s short for Kind Death…} She muttered, her telepathic speech barely audible. Zac blinked.
    {Why in the world would you call your best friend ‘Kind Death’?!}

Inara winced, and did not reply for a long, long time. When she finally did, she sounded like a little child.
    {Because the Pokemon I owned… the one Marty now has… in that Ultra Ball… is a NewMew.}

Zac leapt up in horror and backed away to the far wall. Inara was a Darcmu trainer…?! Mewtwo were imprisoned for such acts! Darcmu ate Mewtwos! Their sole purpose in life was to eat Mewtwos! What was she doing raising the very creatures that threatened their species’ future every day?! And now MARTY had it…

Inara looked ready to cry again.
    {Please don’t tell anyone} She whimpered. {It was an experiment to see if I could raise a Darcmu that didn’t hunt Mewtwos…}
    {Then why in Mew’s name did you give it to Marty?! He’s MARTY!!!! He wants to kill us all deep down, and enslave what’s left!! He’s my friend ‘cause I’m only half, but what about my dad?! What about the Kamis?! What about YOU?!?!}

Inara remained silent. She could think of nothing to say.

Well, uh, good job. I think the Magi part is getting boring now.
The Darmu trainer might be the Gold Kami Seeking revenge on those who shunned him. Marty has a NewMew which wouldn't kill Acciao I think... :Þ :þ Yeah
Where the hell have I been!?

Ooooh! Goody! Lots 'n lots of story! Giving us a view on Mewtwosian history! Though that part with 'only 3 or 4 left' confused me, because it didn't fit too well with Votty's explanation... For the rest, thumbs up! Marty's feeling like a king, the Mystery Man is gonna do his thing, Magi's getting brain-food, and Inara might go to jail! What a whole lot of plot there's left!!
    Thanks Orion, for my reflection...

Otto=ottO: oo;; Don't worry, it'll pick up the pace... And Magi will be interesting again! ^^;; You just gotta wait a few more chappies...

    Crystalmaster Mike: The Darcmu first attack didn't happen in Mewtopia... That was a bit o' Year of the Clones in there with the "only three or four left"... though there were only around twenty-five Twos to start with at that time period ^^;;

    Inara's a total crackpot, IMO.

Thing's are moving a little slowly... is this a trainer story or not?

    Yay! You return!

Yay Ice Kami! It keeled ze bad things!

    *Reads a little further*

Wait a minute! Bad Ice Kami! You ate the Shiny Mewtwo! *Smacks Ice Kami with rolled up news paper* Bad Kami! No cookie!

As for Crystalmaster Mike's question, its like SM said. Sun (The Mewtwo who started Hakujo's clan of genderless Mewtwo) was created by a crazy old guy in the Unknown cave place many years after the whole Year O' the clones deal.

Did you know I have no grasp on the passage of time?

Yep. Mr. Rocket Boss and all those other crazys made their own Mewtwos earlyer, once they saw that they'd been chomped to near extintion. Yay? I hope I got that right.

Yay for explinations! Yay for still hateing Marty! Yay for what the bloody hell was Inara thinking giving a baby Mewtwo muncher to her Mewtwo hateing son?! Yay for is Magi dead? Cake!

If Mewtwo don't need to be "born" as such, but can just be generated, then is their anything stopping them from generating humans in the same way? I mean, they're very compatable if the hybrids are to be believed. Are Mewtwo compatable with other pokemon? Are *shudder* humans compatable with other pokemon? *shudders violently* Ack, all the questions you raise by making these crazy crazy cross breeds! Interesting though, as in other pokemon species the mother's species will always be the species of the child (except in cases where two gender specific species of pokemon are considerred the same sepcies for the purpose of breeding (Nido's etc.), but cross breeds are never brought up (despite my great "Pokemon Breeder GC" idea Heh.) I don't like the concept of Mewtwo's... breeding, because aside from looking like uh, mutated freaks, they have no obvious sexual orgins. Plus I say they're not furry, that they have rubbery skin. Like a dolphin or something. Only with more rubber!

Darien Shields: Human copies have been attempted, but the longest for one to live was four years I think... Mewtwos were cloned from Mew, but tweaked to where they weren't really clones! oO;; In this way the first one lived, and every Mewtwo clone is actually slightly different from the other. They survive because they are naturally really strong, while humans' bodies are just too weak to survive cloning.

If Mewtwos are compatable with other Pokemon, they don't show it. Mewtwos are a proud race that mostly keep to themselves as much as possible, and most are as horrified with these natural born hybrid humans as you. Humans can't breed with any other Pokemon... and Mewtwo/humans are often born dead.

Have you seen any reproduction organ on any Pokemon? It's internal! Gah!

And... MEWTWOS HAVE FUR!!!! Trust me! I study Mews and Twos! I know what I'm talking about!!! And until Nintendo tells me otherwise, I am not changing my mind! *frowns*

V.o.t.M: Aw... let the Ice Kami have the cookie. I don't mind! ^^ lol.

Lookie! A piccy of Marty and Zac playin' tha Mewtopian Card Game! Woo!

So, now we know some interesting stuff about the past. Although it seems that there's some stuff between WotIK and this story... and of course the stuff from YotC which was first, right? It's really neat to be able to have a timeline that encompasses multiple stories. ^_^

Hmm... Although I hope the situation with Acciaio improves... Marty doesn't really deserve to be Acciaio's friend, but most defenately doesn't deserve to be his master. Also, I wonder if Magi will wake up soon? Although at least she's finding out more about herself while she's "alseep". Hopefully she wakes up and can put that knowledge to use.

It's back to waiting for the next chapter (and homework.) then. Keep it up!

EDIT: I just missed you, your reply wasn't there when I posted this...

It appears that your back Shadowed Mewtwo , and the odd thing is is that I had not noticed up until now! Where the heck have I been, anyway?!

Any way back to the story, Indra does seem to be a little crazy, but there might actualy be a good reason hidden in that clump of nerve tisue in her head.

*sighs*Magi is still in a coma. Boooriiing. *Lost Kami glares at Ralts_Mudkip* ehehe, sory about that ;o .

Marty is so evil! Putting the poor Mewtwo on a nasty rope. Evil! And Inara must be nuts to try and raise a NewMew. Thought maybe she's already fixed... The guy in the cloack is also a mystery, hmm...

Oh, Zac is sooooo cuuuuuuuute! Not in the baby animal way. He should keep his hair long, it looks cute. For some reason the idea of a smooth, long ponytail on guys is just disgusting to me. But when it's all jagged like that, it looks cute.

Anywho, you're back from your trip. I was worried that you might be stuck in Mexico or on the top of a rollercoaster.

P.S. I've read your reposting of YotC, I just don't have an account in that forum. And you stopped posting in the other forum, so that threw me for a loop. I would definetly sugest to all fans of WM that they read YotC.

GeneChildMewtwo: Teehee, you missed me! Yes, it's fun to make a timeline for two stories, though at first it was very difficult...

    ralts_mudkip: Inara's cool!

    Doomykins: Whee! You really like Zac? ^^ That makes me happeeeee!!! Yeah, and Marty's being a total jerk right now... ^^;;

Ultra_Poke2000: You were right with Kidea's name the second time. (Though she's not really picky with what you call her.)

I'm hoping you guys like this one more than the last... ^^ It was sure entertaining to write!

    ~*~Chapter 24~*~

“So… what exactly are Darcmu? And did they kill Ashes?”

This question was asked by Magi, who had started turning over the situation in her head and found that she really didn’t have enough details to jump to her conclusion. There was no mention of an evil dark cloaked figure thing in any of that…

“Darcmu are rarely seen now, but they are known as death shadows to Mewtwo. They can grow to be ten feet tall and over thirty-two feet long if you include their tails. They attack with tooth and claw, and their roar is said to freeze whoever hears it in its path.”

Shadow. Tooth. Claw. These were what Magi remembered of the evil beasts in her dream…

“But no, they didn’t kill the Gold Kami. They loved him too much for that.”

That statement made Magi jump and she eyed the Lost Kami eagerly, hoping that she had not dreamed the past.
“What did?” She demanded. She found her heart pounding in her chest…

“The Ice Kami… with the approval of the council… killed my mother, my father, and… me.” Shadow, the Lost Kami and daughter of Ashes, hung her silver head and buried her face in her hands. Magi was more confused than ever.

    ~*~*~

Zac had run into his room as fast as he could.

The hybrid now hid in the corner, shivering with fear over the fact that he had been carrying a NewMew and handed it over to Marty without even realizing it. Everyone was so doomed… And Inara HAD to be as crazy as the Gold Kami raising NewMew like that… Should he turn her in? Tell his father? His mother? Should he go straight to Mewtopia and see what the wild Mewtwos thought? He had no idea…

And he knew nothing more about Marty. Inara had known just as little as he, and that made Zac feel even worse. The boy pulled out the picture and studied it quietly to ease his nerves. The woman had to be Marty’s mother she looked so much like him. Indeed, Zac now noticed a tiny bundle in her arms that he recognized as Marty as an infant. The babe had a wide toothless grin as he played his mother’s long black hair, and she was smiling as well, though it looked more sad than happy. She was very beautiful, but she looked torn and depressed despite her grin for the picture.

Zac growled at his lack of knowledge of them both.

Momentarily forgetting Inara in his anger, the half-Mewtwo flew over to his dresser and hit the picture onto it with a growl. Then, ignoring all thoughts of caution, he yanked up the deadly black blade and swished it in the air like a sword. The darkness within it sent a chill through him like a Dark Pokemon, and he had already learned the wounds it inflicted affected his Psychic flesh like a Dark attack. He had never seen such blades as the ones Marty and his father carried. However, for some reason Zac was sure that these blades were only Marty’s, though where he would get such strange and deadly weapons as this he didn’t know.

How could Marty keep so many secrets from so many people?!

As the chill of the blade finally forced Zac to drop it, the boy took notice of Marty’s videotape. Marty had for some reason hidden it with a personal photo and the finest made of the black blades as though it were something important. What was on the tape? Could it possibly have some sort of valuable information??

Yet before Zac could find out his father appeared in the doorway. The large Mewtwo stood half a foot taller than most, and he was as muscled and fit as and wild Two. His coloration and basic shape were just like most Pure Mewtwos, even if he wasn’t of that bloodline. A single stripe on his nose categorized him as a “Neo” Mewtwo, a breed made not by Giovanni but a zoo… A strange history to most Mewtwo breeds.

Zac’s father had been born in Mewtopia, but at the passing of the law of Equal Rights for Mewtwos he went out into the world to explore. In a distant city he met a female human with amber hair and green eyes named Lara, and the two spent a great deal of time together. Eventually they fell in love, though when they tried to wed they were banished from the city. Zac’s dad then brought her to Mewtopia hoping they could live together there, but Lara was hated there and not permitted to live among Mewtwos. Then, when Mewtopia found out they had become mates and were attempting a child, they were banished from the city. That’s when they found the little town they lived in now, and thus after many tries they brought Neo Mewtwo Zachariah, or Zac, into the world.

Yet even as he adjusted to the lives of humans, Zac’s father always kept a wild side to him in the fact that he trained himself daily. And, when Zac was old enough, the young Mewtwo/human hybrid had been forced to train as well, though he did not have his father’s passion of battling. The boy preferred trading cards and video games.

Zac moaned as he realized that it was time to train with his dad, and without a word dragged himself unwillingly after his father to the field for a long day of work.

    ~*~*~

As dusk came three shadows left the forest and ran swiftly and silently towards the little Mewtwo and human village. The two larger shadows raced with jaws gaping open in blood thirst, and bits of saliva fell from their lips. The cloaked figure looked as though he were taking a leisurely stroll, but he moved far to fast to be doing such. With calm, suttle movements, the poacher was somehow able to keep up with the wild sprints of the great Mewtwo hunters. They reached the edge of the village without a sound.

As the three prepared for their great attack, a sudden chill in the air made them pause. There was a faint flapping of huge wings somewhere far off, but whatever it was, it covered ground far faster than they.

With a hiss of delight, the cloaked figure ran back into the forest and up onto his little cliff to get a better view of what he knew was coming. He caught sight of it immediately.

The creature was a Mewtwo, or appeared to be, with blue fur or feathers and eyes as red as blood. Large muscled wings were opened to their fullest and beat the air wings smooth powerful strokes, though the creature really didn’t need to use them. A long streaming river of a tail rippled behind it in the wind beautifully as it came along, still a blur to its unknown observer.

By the time the Darcmu had caught up the thing was closer and could be seen in more detail. On its head were three dark blue feathers, and on its chest soft white ones. Starting at its elbows was a sort of bumpy grayish skin, like the legs and feet of a bird’s, and each of its three fingers had a long black talon at the end. It’s feet were normal Mewtwo feet, and now lay behind it as it hovered on the powerful wind currents. As it flapped for a moment to gain better wind, the trees shook from the might of the wind it created.

The poacher whistled slightly at the sight of the creature and was rewarded by having it turn to look at him. On the side away from him it’s cheek bore a long black scar from some Darcmu attack long ago. This scar was the only blemish on the creature’s entire beautiful body.

Beside the poacher, the female Darcmu began to tremble.
“The Ice Kami…” She hissed in Pokemon tongue, “Mew-clone Slayer and Kin Eater… What is it doing here???” At her words, the male growled.

Only the poacher grinned with delight in the shadows of his cloak as the mighty Articuno/Mewtwo hybrid passed over them towards the city. When they did nothing, it turned its attention on the little nobody village and scanned the area high in the sky like a hawk. It’s gray-black muzzle and arms became the only visible thing in the vast blue of the sky as it drew itself higher where it could fly unnoticed.

Then, quite suddenly, it pressed its wings against its body and dove straight down, its long tail whipping behind it in the wind. It narrowed its eyes as the wind grew worse, and pressed its limbs against it so that it gained speed. It was soon going so fast that nobody could it if they tried.

As it vanished amongst the trees of the forest close to the village the poacher gave a soft sigh, for he had held his breath in awe of the legendary but slightly infamous Kami. The two Darcmu were very close to fleeing as they watched the stillness of the forest, knowing that the Ice Kami could come from anywhere and slay them easily. However, the silent command of their master’s presence kept them still.

Then both black Pokemon groaned as the poacher placed a hand inside his cloak and began searching for something. Only they knew what and why.

As the Ice Kami lifted itself from the forest, the three watchers noticed that it now had its wings folded and was flying Mewtwo fashion. It seemed busy with what it held, though until it got closer they couldn’t see what.

At the speed it flew it grew close to them quickly, and blood could be seen on the creature’s face. The limp form of some poor Mewtwo was made out in its talons as it approached. The Mewtwo looked as though its heart had been ripped out, and the Ice Kami’s arms were already dripping with its blood.

The sight and smell of Mewtwo blood made the Darcmu quiver, but this time with their everlasting blood-thirst instead of fear. Only their terror of the Ice Kami held them back. The poacher, however, showed no fear as he went to the highest peak of the cliff and awaited the Ice Kami to pass as it had before.

The Mewtwo hybrid looked at them with a cold, emotionless expression as blood dripped from its dark muzzle and stained the white of its chest. Its long scar could be seen more clearly now, and it ran down the Kami’s cheek, neck, chestplate and arm. That mixed with the blood, smell of death, and black talons made the beauty of the half Articuno turn to something deadly. As it drew near to them, the Ice Kami stopped using its powers and reverted back to its wings.

Then, as it began to pass, the poacher yanked out what he had been looking for and flung it at the Kami. The item looked like a cord with some sort of little machine attached at one end, and when it hit, it coiled around the Ice Kami’s leg and began to spark with electricity.

The poacher gave a hidden smile as the Ice Kami became enshrouded in lighting, and commanded his Darcmu to attack. The creatures miserably obeyed, fearing their master more than anything.

The Ice Kami suddenly found itself hit by an electric wire and facing two Darcmu who looked ready to rip it apart. Frowning in annoyance, the half Mewtwo neatly shook the cord loose and with a flick of its foot threw the still sparking cable onto the male Darcmu, who howled in pain as it was attacked by the machine. The Kami gripped its newly caught meal tightly as it turned its attention to the other Darcmu, the female, who had begun to shake at seeing the Ice Kami unscathed. It frowned even more.

After once being attacked by a Darcmu, the Ice Kami had kept a grudge against the creatures. Not only did they compete with it for food, but they had also turned out to be unfit for eating, making them useless. The Ice Kami usually killed them on sight, as it planned to do now…

The female Darcmu shivered from cold and fear like a little NewMew as the Ice Kami slowly advanced on her, but her loyalty to her master kept her from fleeing. Besides, such an act of cowardice would end up in her destruction anyway. All she could do was fight…

The battle was very short. As the female dove for her prey’s throat, the Ice Kami merely formed a ball of white energy in its free hand and hit her with a sort of Ice Beam, freezing her on the spot. It watched both its attackers fall with a kind of detached satisfaction, then began to fly away again.

The poacher nearly yelped with surprise as it suddenly dove for him and drove its claws into his skull. Then, content, it lifted back into the air and flew off to some safe place to consume its meal. As the electricity finally stopped torturing the male Darcmu, the Kami was already out of sight.

The poacher just laughed as if he had gone crazy.

    ~*~*~

“Why in the world would it kill you and you mom if Ashes saved the Darcmu?!” Magi persisted, still thoroughly confused. The idea of the Mew Council of Mewtopia agreeing to killing three for one’s crimes seemed wrong… Though of course, she had no idea how the rules went in this part of the world, or if the Council was just naturally mean. She should ask about that as well…

The Lost Kami looked up at Magi, tears falling from her eyes then floating up and vanishing in the nothingness. Her dark blue eyes were full of pain and suffering, the old wound in her heart reopened from the conversation that was taking place.

Yet before the young Shining Mewtwo could speak, Magi found herself torn away from her and yanked back into her own world. She was blinded with the brilliant light of the Pokemon Center momentarily, then as her vision came back, she found herself in intensive care in a little tank. As she sat there in the water she was too surprised for a moment to think, and simply looked around trying to sort things out.

As the large Magikarp awoke and began to move, Nurse Joy sighed with relief. Magi would live another day.

    ~*~*~

The cloaked figure lifted a gloved hand to his face, and when he drew in back, his fingers were covered in his own blood. He began to chuckle again at that.

“Such a fine creature… a wonderful Mewtwo slayer! Beautiful and deadly, a hunter of its own kind and more powerful than anything… A prize far more worthy for me than you two, eh?” This last part was directed to the two Darcmu, one who was still mostly frozen and the other who was burnt but doing his best to release her from her ice cage.

Once he had gotten his partner’s head free of the ice, he turned to the poacher and snorted.
“Yeah, catch the Ice Kami! What a dream! An impossible one…” Rumbled the creature with a shake of his head. Then he turned his attention back to unfreezing the female Darcmu. Now that he head was free she was shooting small fireballs into the ice, melting it quickly.

“Master, the Ice Kami is undefeated!” She complained in between attacks, “And you saw how what we did was nothing the creature. That’s why it is called a Kami! It’s practically immortal! It is the mightiest of Mewtwos, and it is what keeps its kind safe from things like us. There is nothing you could do to capture it!”

The poacher laughed a second time, loud and cold and cruel. He tossed his blood off his fingers and walked over to his Darcmu. Then, he smacked them both in the head.
“You underestimate me my pets! I have full knowledge of the Ice Kami, and every other Kami for that matter. I am a hunter, a history professor, a researcher, and a scientist! And I assure you, my dear Darcmu, that in the end with every skill in me I shall overcome the Ice Kami… and then every Mewtwo in Mewtopia…”

Thus the attack was postponed for another perfect time to hunt.

    ~*~*~

Zac stood there, too stunned to think. His shirt was ripped off and a gash had been made in his cheek, but he made no effort to take care of either of them. Even over the fact that his underdeveloped chest plate was in full view, that his own blood was trickling in his mouth, he still stood there like a statue.

His ponytail was free and his dark purple hair blew in the wind as he stared at a single spot at the edge of the forest, a single dark patch in the leaves. He felt he should cry, but no tears came, but his hands were shaking horribly. He mouthed two words silently over and over, not conscious of doing such, as he tried to understand what had just happened.

As the sun set, Zac finally gulped and looked down into his hands. One of them held a pale blue feather with a small splatter of blood on it. It shimmered with cold energy from the powerful beast it had once clutched to, and the blood looked like an impure sin on its loveliness.

Zac looked at the dark patch again, at the tufts of purple fur around them. Then, slowly, the hybrid backed away until he was close enough to his home to feel safe. After that the little boy turn and ran, ran as fast and far as he could. Tears fell down his cheeks and he gripped the little feather tightly.

His greatest dream had come true. He had seen the Ice Kami up close in real life. But… the price he had had to pay for such a gift…

Zac nearly broke the door as he slammed it open. Through the blur of tears he could make out Inara and his mother in the living room, and both were looking at him. Zac felt himself trembling as he turned to shut the door slowly, softly, as if he were trying to make up for the violence in which he had entered.

Then, the hybrid turned to face his mother and friend. The tears fell from his eyes and allowed him to see the worry of their expressions.
“Mother…” He whispered. “There is something I need to tell you alone… about Dad…”

Silently, the two left for the kitchen with fear and sorrow in their hearts.

    ~*~*~

Acciaio stood half awake beside a tree, too tired to even notice Marty as the boy ate a hearty meal. His Torchic had been let out by his new master, but he was not allowed to speak with her. Brute and she sat a large distance from the camp, studying the situation uncomfortably. They were very aware that Marty was torturing Keahi’s master.

Only Kidea showed no knowledge of any pain, for she was too wrapped up in her long discussions of Inara. The little thing was obsessed with her “mother”, and shared the Mewtwo’s desire to make peace between the Darcmu and Mewtwos. She seemed determined to talk Marty into helping her reach this goal, and was annoyed how the boy wouldn’t talk to her.

Marty was trying his best to avoid the conversation with silence, and eventually was able to make his new pet shut up by sticking a rather large strawberry that he had found on their hike into her mouth.

“Mewtwo, this fire needs more wood. Be a good Pokemon and fetch some.” Said Marty lightly as he finished his meal and pulled out a bag of marshmallows.

Acciaio moved without thought. He was too tired to think, to care, and he obeyed the voice of Marty automatically. In the bare remnant of his thoughts and feelings there was but one thing left: fear. He feared Kidea more than anything, and that drove his weary body over its limits. The broken cyborg stumbled blindly along, feeling numbly for wood with his feet. His arm had lost its cast sometime during that day, and hung limp and black at his side. His mechanical arm was also still broken, and occasionally shocked its owner with a spark of electricity. Yet Acciaio continued on.

When the Mewtwo finally found a small pile of sticks, he wrapped his tail around them and limped back to the camp. His eyes remained shut, for he was too tired to open them, and he had to find the campfire by the heat in the air. Then he tossed his tiny bundle into the fire.

His reward was a rock thrown at his head.

“Stupid Mewtwo!” Marty barked. “That won’t do anything for the fire! Are you that lazy?!”

The boy scowled behind his black bangs as Acciaio just stood there, and threw another rock to make him do something. However, this just made the Mewtwo fall… right into the fire.

A gasp came from the other Pokemon, and Marty blinked in surprise, as the flames began to catch on the dying cyborg child. A smell of burnt fur and metal began to fill the air.

"Well, what happend to Ashes was..."
    "Good morning!"
    O_O It's not fair.
(and to think, my last post mentioned that Magi should wake up soon... Too bad time travel is evil. ^_^)

Well, I have a feeling you'll explain later. (It's probably too early to give everything away.) And, seeing the Ice Kami here is neat, which means it's still alive. (Although I guess I could have figured that out earlier, but now it's for sure.) Hmmm... It's all very interesting. Although, I feel bad for Zac... He finally met his hero, but find out what the Ice Kami is truely like. I guess everyone isn't aware of that after all.

But, the most urgent matter on hand is the fact that Acciaio is in serious trouble. Somebody needs to do something and fast. Maybe Marty will realize he's a jerk... Or at least decided to help his forced laborer. Maybe the pokemon will start a mutiny for Marty being mean? Hmm...

Well, this chapter was really interesting. I have to agree that it was really good.
I'll be waiting for the next one. Keep it up!

Behind the clouds still shines the sun... Atleast Zac won't have to train anymore...

And so the poacher is undead... I mean, if the Ice Kami had driven its claws into someone else's skull, that someone surely would've died? But well, you have to be kind of undead to have no fear of Darcmu what so ever.

Now we come to a crossroads with Marty... Will he realize he's a jerk? Or will he kick Acciaccio in the knee caps for laying down on the job?

I agree, that was evil, what you did to Magi! She'd finally get a good answer, and *boof*! She's alive again!
    Thanks Orion, for my reflection...

And Marty's gotta go too. Poor Acciaio, poor Zac. Why was he hunting out there anyways?

    ~*~Chapter 25~*~

Even though he was too weak to even see, Acciaio felt every lick of flame against his skin. He heard the beeping on an alarm in his head as his mechanical parts began to melt from the heat. There were frantic shouts from both Pokemon and a person as he lay there in the fire, cut and burned for the kindness he gave to an enemy. Yet… he was too tired to care. He was too worn to think. Nothing mattered. Nothing. He was a slave now to a hater of his kind, but so what? All humans were like that. The deceptive creatures were all too greedy and power hungry for their own good… They were destined to destroy all life.

But of course that didn’t matter either. Nothing mattered. His very soul had been ripped out of him long ago, and now he felt nothing. He was a machine, a horrific freak that had no purpose whatsoever. He had been made in an attempt to save an infant that was too far gone for rescue. An infant whose family was dead and name forgotten. He was a walking corpse.

Now the human voice was louder, and had a high, frantic tone to it. There was a clatter of dishes being dropped, and the shriek of a Pokemon who must have been stepped on by accident. This was followed by a cry from the young human, and there was a moment’s pause of silence.

The fire was resting on him now, consuming him like a hungry animal. It grew and shifted, consuming his fur slowly as if it enjoyed seeing him tortured. The flame would be disappointed: he was beyond torture. Marty had tortured him already. Another poacher had tortured him even worse… a life’s worth of torture that had ruined him forever…

There was a shuffling noise as the boy got back up, and leaves and twigs cried out in resentment as he walked. Hands wildly beat on the flames on his back, striking his open wounds. It didn’t matter. As the flames died in silent cries, the hands threw aside the embers that melted his sides and metal, saving him from sudden death. It didn’t matter. The hands, somehow immune to the pain of the fire, then wrapped themselves around the Mewtwo’s middle. Acciaio mused that they weren’t just hands, but were actually connected to arms, and these arms a body that was jerking with sobs.

“He’s dying!” The human voice wept, “Acciaio, please wake up! I don’t want you to DIE!!! Maybe be a little broken, a bit more obedient like Pokemon should be… but DEATH… Oh Acciaio, don’t leave! My new Pokemon! Please don’t leave me!”

The words were too many and too loud for Acciaio to discern, but he didn’t care. It didn’t matter anyway. His mind was empty, absorbing nothing as he began to bury within himself away from the pain. Pain didn’t matter, and wanted nothing to do with it.

The limp Mewtwo was lifted gently but quickly out of the flames, and he felt himself dragged away from the campfire. He was laid down on what felt like moss, his ears still filled with the sobbing voice and his body still howling in agony. Stupid body. It was not worth saving at this point, nor was he. Machine. Clone-spawn. Freak. Orphan. Monster. He was these things—things hated and destroyed. So he had to be destroyed... He was already dead.

“Why are you helping him?” Asked a new, slightly deep and gruff voice, “I thought you hated Mewtwos…”
“I DO!!” Snapped the first voice, “I hate them! I’ll always hate them! They’re heartless monsters!”
“Then why are you helping him?” Said a third, much higher voice that Acciaio was sure he knew. It was feminine, and sounded just as frantic and upset as the human’s. “I thought you wanted to kill my masta…”
“No! I… I hate them… but… He’s my Pokemon! I’m responsible for him now, and I won’t let him die!”
“He’s not your Pokemon,” said the gruff voice, “You haven’t captured him. Besides, it’s illegal to… Master, what are you doing?!”

Acciaio felt the cold tap of a button on his burnt chest, then his body losing all feeling. He was suddenly shapeless energy that was compressed into a tiny sphere. Then, the sphere closed, leaving him trapped. It didn’t matter.

Almost as soon as he was trapped, he was let back out and found himself on the moss once more. Everything ached and burned again, and he found himself longing for the nothingness to return.
“There, he’s mine. Therefore he’s my responsibility, and I need to save him! Satisfied?” The human voice snapped. Then quickly, before the other voices had a chance to respond, the human dashed away, and Acciaio heard a shuffling sound a few feet away.

When the hands came back, they were covered in a cooling gel that covered his wounds and extinguished the burning sensation in his flesh. Though he still felt it didn’t matter, nothing mattered, he gave a soft sigh of relief as his burns left him from the Burn Heal. Then the hands left again.

“He’s still in bad shape…” Muttered the human voice, “I thought his arm was just bruised, but it looks like that chip of my blade is slowly carving what’s left of him…” A deep, stressed sigh came from the voice.
“We’ll need to cut it out if he’s going to make it… That means surgery… And we can’t take him to a hospital or Pokemon Center fast enough…” There was another moment of shuffling, then a gasp from the Pokemon.

“You’re using that??? Isn’t that what—” The gruff voice started, but was cut off by the human.
“I KNOW it’s the blade I stabbed him with! … But it’s the only blade we have…”

The next thing Acciaio knew, a horrible pain shot through his side that filled him with cold only a Dark Pokemon could have possessed. The blade sliced through his skin, his muscle, probing and searching like the claw of a Darcmu playing with its food. He had felt that blade before, felt that pain… So much pain…

Before he knew it, Acciaio had slipped into unconsciousness.

    ~*~*~

Magi stared through the walls of the tiny tank with surprise. She had been so close to finding out about Ashes!!! And now here she was in… a Pokemon Center. With the blue eyes of a Nurse Joy staring at her. Great. Just great.

“Well, you scared a lot of people!” Smiled the Pokemon nurse as she took out the needles that had been placed under Magi’s scales while she was dying. The large Magikarp winced at each one, but made no reply. Nurse Joy wouldn’t have been able to understand her anyway.

When the Nurse was done she recalled Magi to her Pokeball, where she would recuperate. This made the Magikarp even more depressed as she stared at the darkness of her small round prison. So close to finding out… yet so far… The chances of her ever seeing the Lost Kami again was near impossible. How could fate mock her so?!

It seemed like forever before Magi was released again, and the large Magikarp flopped and cried out happily at the sight of her master and Keshaa. The obese fisherman stared in surprise at the sight of her, and seemed unable to think how to react. Keshaa, however, was off his master’s shoulder in a flash and babbling on too fast for Magi to comprehend. She didn’t care. She was going on and on in senseless babble as well.

When they were finished, Joe continued to gape, then gave a small cough.
    “Well er… Courtney… I see you’ve turned orange…”

    Magi looked up in surprise.
“Orange?” She questioned despite her master’s inability to understand her. “I’ve always been orange…”

    Keshaa was gaping as well.
“Magi!” He yelped, “You’ve changed colors on us!”
    “I did?”
“Yes! You’ve lost your golden hue…” The bewildered Seadra cocked his head as he continued to stare like a young Magikarp. “You’re just a pale orange now!”
“What?!” Magi sat in shock, as she tried to picture herself as a normal everyday Magikarp color. No, not normal, Keshaa had said pale. So she looked like a terribly WEAK everyday Magikarp. Magi felt her happiness leave her for the second time that day.

“All well, guess I’ll have ta use the backup plan, eh Storm?” Sighed Joe. Keshaa made an angry snort, but was ignored. The fisher silently drew out a Pokeball, and let it fall to realease… another very beautiful Magikarp. It was Magi’s turn to gape.

The Magikarp was a darker red than any she had ever seen, and it was just as large as her. It flopped on the ground with powerful muscles that could be seen clearly under its crimson scales, and it looked to be in perfect condition.

However, the Magikarp stared at nothing in particular as it flopped up and down with its mouth gaping open like an idiot. It didn’t seem to understand what was going on or even who its master was. This gave Magi the impression that it was both newly caught and very stupid.

Yet Joe appeared proud of it.
“Meet Jaws!” He declared. “He’s gonna evolve into a Gyarados fo’ me! … Unlike some little Magikarp we know…”

Magi watched in disgust as Joe petted his new prize on the head, though this seemed to distress “Jaws”. The crimson Magikarp spun around and started flopping away from its master… and towards her.

Magi practically cried out in protest as she was tackled by the thing, and soon found herself gazing into an unfocused eye.
“You girl.” The Magikarp said with a deep male voice. “Pretty. Pretty girl. MY pretty girl!”

Magi really cried out as Jaws ran himself along her side in a courting maneuver, very much attracted to her. She was disgusted with the whole thing. How could Joe to this?! How could he replace her with this… with this…

Magi gave a shriek as Jaws pressed against her and laid large wet lips on a gill.
“NO!!!” She screamed at him, “I don’t want a mate!! Please leave me alone Jaws! Go away!! If I ever have children I want them with someone smart!” Jaws of course didn’t understand her, and began to make a cooing noise that made her flesh crawl.

Keshaa knocked the Magikarp away and glared with dark anger.
“You will not force my friend to do anything, weak might. Especially not spawn…” Magi blinked at this. He had not used the term “weak might” for a Magikarp in a long time… Now it was being used as an insult.

However, Jaws was not daunted, and bared a set on sharp little teeth.
“Pretty fishie. You take. You bad. She mine. She mate. She ready. We spawn. You challenge. I hate you… GIMME BACK!!!”

With that, the large Karp dove towards Magi’s comrade with wild fury. Joe merely watched.

    ~*~*~

Acciaio had no mechanical parts; he had no knowledge of such. He was an infant again, in a world of love and happiness…

The young Mewtwo sat on his father’s shoulders, laughing and babbling in baby talk while he was hugged and praised by both his parents. His mother kissed him on the cheek and his father took him down and embraced him, telling the child how proud he was. What were they proud about…? He couldn’t re—…wait.

Baby Acciaio floated into the air, giving excited squeaks at how high up he was while his parents praised him even more. Flight. He had learned how to fly that day! He flew around and around, dodging trees and his mother and father as best he could. They were in a… park. In… Mewtopia? Yes. Or at least in the outskirts of Mewtopia, on the outer edge, away from the city. His memory of that day was rather fuzzy, but at least he remembered some.

His father wore a badge around his neck, signifying the fact that he was a champion of the leagues held in Mewtopia. The strong looking Mewtwo was Pure—a bloodline that was becoming rarer and rarer as Pures and other breeds of Twos had children together. His mother was a Pure as well, but she was slimmer with smaller eye ridges, as was every female Mewtwo. She was not a fighter, but merely a mother and proud mate of a champion. Acciaio could remember neither of their names anymore, nor what he was called in his infancy. He did know, however, that he was showing signs of ending up as strong as his dad. He could remember them discussing it, and that that discussion had ended in the training he had started that day just outside the Mewtwo city.

He flew away from his parents, giggling with a squeaky little voice like a Mew. Through the trees he went, his heart pounding in his chest from excitement despite the fact that he was hardly going faster than a slow walk. Then, he reached a boulder.

With every bit of concentration his little mind could muster, the tiny Mewtwo began to slowly snake around the giant rock. He went out of sight of his parents, and for a moment looked behind himself as he flew, waiting for them to become visible again. Yet when he stopped looking where he was going, be bumped lightly into something… something furry…

Acciaio turned to find himself staring into the black face of some huge Pokemon. The little Mewtwo was about the size of a Mew, and this monster had to have been at least a dozen times larger. Yet because of his lack of maturity, Acciaio felt no fear.
“‘Ewo, sah. Wha’ ‘ou?” He said as politely as he could, struggling with the words. The creature merely sat and gazed at him, its dark purple eyes gleaming coldly. It had a few stripes on it, and its tail was covered in jagged, zigzagged rings. Sitting there like a shadow it was about seven feet tall… Yet for some reason Acciaio found it reminded him of a cat. It was that reason that he smiled at it and started stroking its long yet broad muzzle.
“Dun’ woi… I won’ ‘urt ya, kitty…” He cooed. The creature made no response.

A pair of gasps made the child turn around to see both his parents with very pale faces. Their mouths hung gaping like fish on land, and their eyes had a wild look like a cornered Mankey. Acciaio was too young to understand why they were in such a state. All the tiny Mewtwo could tell was that his parents were upset, and he immediately felt the urge to comfort them. Carefully he turned and slowly flew to them, half eager to make them happy and half afraid he might be the cause of their distress.

Yet before he could reach his parents, a large clawed hand grabbed him around his middle and yanked him back. The little Mewtwo made no sound as he found himself looking at the large Pokemon again, but the cries of his parents made him cower a bit. The creature curled back its lips in a cold grin, revealing two sets of long fangs and teeth. Acciaio knew what those were at least. He gave a whimper and cowered even more.

His father was there in a flash, kicking and striking the monster as best he could. The creature merely turned and watched.
{Release me child Darcmu!} Acciaio’s father shouted, ramming his whole body into the Darcmu’s side. This did not faze it at all: its girth seemed impervious to damage. Instead, it gave the champion that same cold grin and growled slightly.
“Why don’t ya make me, Mew-clone …” It snarled. The little Mewtwo’s dad tried to do just that, but nothing seemed to faze the high-leveled Mewtwo killer. He beat it with his fists, his feet, his tail… He even tried repeated Body Slams. Nothing worked…

Then, the Mewtwo got another idea. Using his telekinesis, he lifted a decent sized rock with sharp edges and proceeded to hurl it at the Darcmu’s head. The stone struck it right above the jaw.

The Darcmu gave a howl at that blow as a dark liquid flowed from its head, but this was more out of anger than pain. Acciaio yelped when the monster tightened its grip on him as though it planned to crush his bones… It probably did. The baby Two found it harder and harder to breath…

Another rock on the head made the Darcmu stop and turn to snarl at Acciaio’s father. This move was rewarded by another stone, and soon it rained large chunks of rock on the Dark Pokemon. Yet the Darcmu refused to let Acciaio go.

Finally the Mewtwo’s dad lifted the giant boulder, sweating from the exertion. Over half the rock was underground, and the part that remained visible was far larger than any Darcmu. The boulder hovered just above the Darcmu, darkening the sky above them.

    Then, it dropped.

While the Darcmu was distracted with the need to save itself, Acciaio’s mother dove towards it and yanked her child from its grasp. As she drew away, her mate let the boulder come crashing down. The Mewtwo slayer did not stand a chance.

Yet just before the stone crushed its prey, two more dark shapes dove in and knocked the rock away. The small Mewtwo family gaped at the pair of young Darcmu who landed on either of their older comrade. The Darcmu were small—they stood about six feet high, which was short even compared to a Mewtwo—and they looked scrawny and far too young for their evolution. However, they looked more eager for blood than their elder.

    Then, a fourth visitor arrived.

The thing made its entrance by first shooting the largest Darcmu in the head, then walked silently into view as it fell. It was a figure cloaked in black from his head to his feet. He had no smell and no sound; not even his breathing could be heard. Yet he gave off the appearance of a person, and when he spoke, it was comfortable human speech in human accent.
“Well well well… It looks like we’re a member short of our happy hunting group now, aren’t we my pets?” He chuckled, scratching the less striped of the two Darcmu under the chin. It bristled at his touch, and gave a small shudder at his words.
“What?” He protested, “She was beaten by a single Mewtwo! She’s a disgrace to her breed! Isn’t she, Dark Slaughterer?” His question was turned towards the other Darcmu, who seemed less daunted by the murder it had just seen.
“Was.” It grinned maliciously, “She was a disgrace.” The cloaked figure howled out a laugh that made Acciaio shiver in his mother’s arms. For some reason, the three Mewtwos could not leave. Their own fear held them.

“Aw… Look at the little baby, Mew Killer my dear!” The figure turned the less striped Darcmu’s head to look at Acciaio. “Isn’t he darling? Looks just like his big strong daddy!”

Mew Killer looked terrified as she stared at the three Mewtwos. She made no response to her master. Because of this, she was struck outside the head by the figure’s fist. Somehow this drew blood, which he wiped off and forced her to lick off his gloved hand. Then he turned towards the Mewtwos.
“I apologize for my Darcmu. She was weak, you see. They all are of course, what with their starving to death in a forest somewhere, but my three are especially pathetic. Or two, I should say… Well, otherwise you would have been beaten. Good help is hard to find, especially when we’re dealing with Mewtwo hunting!”

The father Mewtwo’s tail lashed and he began to bristle at this statement, obviously realizing the danger of their situation.
{You will find no sport here, poacher} He growled, his eyes starting to glow. The poacher simply chuckled at this.

“What a stupid thing to say, Pure Mewtwo. These are the outskirts of Mewtopia! And here before me stand two healthy young Mewtwos and their precious son. I have indeed found sport…” With that, he snapped his fingers, and his two Darcmu grabbed Acciaio’s dad before the Mewtwo had time to react.

They dragged him over to their master, who studied his prize for a moment.
“You are a very pretty Two, my friend…” He murmured, “Such a glossy coat and rich color… Just beautiful.” Here he paused and traced the Mewtwo’s cheekbone. “And your mate is the same way! What a lovely pair you make!” Then, he turned and strode away.
“Come with me my lovelies, and I will show you my happy mobile home…”

As he left, his Darcmu dragged Acciaio’s dad away, and his mother gave a cry. Feeling the need to save her mate, she set baby Acciaio down, told him to stay, and dashed after her husband. The tiny Mewtwo sat alone in silence, unsure of exactly what had happened. He gazed around himself, but nothing stirred except once when the Ice Kami flew by seeking a meal. When he waved to it, it gave a small nod and continued on.

    ~*~*~

Marty sat staring at Acciaio with mixed feelings.

He had finished his work on his traveling partner, but it had worsened the Mewtwo’s state instead of helping. The black blade he had used to retrieve the chip had simply made more black wounds, and these wounds could not be healed by normal means. Not even Kidea’s Recover had done anything, and Acciaio was slowly bleeding to death. That mixed with his melted mechanic parts and lack of nourishment left the Mewtwo in a very bad condition that had little hope of growing better.

And here Marty found himself debating on whether or not he should even save the Two. He had a bad history with Mewtwos, and his father had hated them just as much as he did now. He had good reasons for his hatred… all thanks to a single Mewtwo that ruined his life… but now was not the time to dwell on such things. But it was hard not to. But he should take some action. But he couldn’t decide what sort of action to take! It was driving young Marty crazy. He was a ten-year-old boy! What was he doing taking on big responsibilities like this?!

The cyborg Mewtwo gave a small, feeble cough and whimpered in his sleep, then grew still again. How long had he been unconscious? What time was it? These things Marty did not know. All he knew was he needed time to think… time he did not possess.

With a howl, the boy suddenly leapt up and fled, unable to take the stress anymore. He hated Mewtwos! Why was he even thinking of saving Acciaio?! That monster was the worst Mewtwo of the lot… Yet seeing him there, his skin stained black and covered with blood, his face contorted with pain as he lay dying… Any child would feel the need to help! … Right?

Marty suddenly found himself by a slow moving stream that glittered silver in the moonlight. It was clear and peaceful, a gentle beauty that mocked his inward turmoil. Shouting with rage, Marty lunged into the chilling water and struck it again and again with his fist, disrupting the glass surface with waves that cut into the air echoing his anger.

When he was finally exhausted, Marty sat down in the water and let his emotions flow away from him down the creek. He stared at his reflection in the water as he did this. His hair was still stiff with dried blood… And a red cloth bandage was wrapped around his head… ???

Marty lifted his hand to his head and touched the cloth with surprise, not realizing it was there until now. He slowly unwrapped the bandage from his head and held it out in front of him, gazing at it with shock. He knew that cloth… It was a piece of Acciaio’s jacket! Acciaio had helped save HIS life?!

Marty felt his stomach churn as he fingered the blood still in his hair. Acciaio had helped him… When he had attacked…

He had to save that Mewtwo!!!

Defying everything he had ever taught himself in life, Marty leapt up and ran to find help for his new friend.

So, Marty finally begins to see what's going on. I guess he hasn't made a sudden "I love Mewtwo" change or anything... But at least he understands that he owes something to Acciaio. Even if it's illegal to catch Mewtwo with a pokeball, would that be over looked for the sake of saving their life? If you walk into a Pokemon Center with a pokeball containing a Mewtwo in that condidtion... With some explination they might understand. And technically, you can release a pokemon, so you could just let it free afterward. But I don't know if Marty is quite like that. (Well, I wonder what his view on the law is.)

And that new Magikarp is not cool. Magi needs to give him a stern slapping or something. Although, I don't know if she's the kind that's prone to physical violence... So she probably won't. But Keesha could. I wonder if Magikarp and Seadra are in the same Egg Group...

Well, I liked this chapter. I also really liked the flashback to Acciaio's past. It's always interesting to find out about the character's pasts. Even if they are depressing. Well, I'll be waiting for the next chapter. Keep it up!

Eh, finally Marty has his prioties right, maybe if he woudl have been less concentrated on hate he may have not almost killed Accocio. Now it seems that Accioro, spelling errors are likely, has felt much pain in his life, with all the bad rotten stuff happening, yet if he survives he may just be the most powerful Mewtwo alive, and can his arm be replaced? Poor Magi, becoming more like a Magicarp than a special magicarp. Nice chapter though a lot of character development.
If something is wrong, please say so.
