Originally posted by Bacl Meh, considering Harrison is the kid from Hoen, then I'd expect him to have more Hoen Pokemon. Kecleon sure is cool...in the anime. Too bad in the video games that it can't turn invisible or use it's tounge for anything other then a pathetic lick attack.
Yeah, here's hoping in future games Pokemon with long tongues like Lickitung, Politoed and Kecleon get a powerful tongue move like Tongue Lash or something...

I know that last week we saw a Magnitude work on Charizard, and that even though it is a flying type peopel argued that since it was on the ground then it was vulnerable to such an attack. Okaaay...but Noctowel was flying when Steelix used dig. Dig hit Noctowel pretty darn hard, and it should have had no effect.
Doesn't it really make more sense that a giant snake exploding from beneath the ground would be able to strike something only about ten or twenty feet above it? I mean, would you think it would make sense for a Bonemerang by a Marowak to miss a Flying type just because it is a Ground type move? Really, it is quite logical that a Ground type move that moves through the air should be able to hit a Flying type.

What really ticked me off was that Blaziken's beak never opened, and yet it was saying it's name like crazy. It looked weird. It needed to move its mouth when it talks. Does anyone else think this thing looks like a human wearing red pants and a mask? Since when do chickens have arms?
Are you sure? I thought when it first came out it did open its mouth to issue a loud cry. Anyway, as someone else noted, birds don't need to open their beaks to make noises.

Next week? Charizard vs. Blaziken. Okay, fire vs. fire is a pretty even match..but Charizard is also a flying type and poor old Blaziken is fighting. Flighting can't stand a chance against flying. My money is on Charizard!
Except that Ash's Charizard doesn't know any Flying type attacks except Fly. Also, the anime hasn't paid any attention to Blaziken being part Flying type. So expect a very fierce, very even fight.

Anyway, my thoughts:

Interestingly for once Ash seems to remember Kecleon, as he says its name and notices that it doesn't completely disappear without needing to be told by anyone.

Great battles, though not the best (not enough movement), the real fight is next week.

Technicality but still a dub error: Steelix can't learn Wrap, the move used on Snorlax was Bind. And Steelix has to be about the only Pokemon on earth capable of binding a Snorlax.

Things to note: This episode debuted Dream Eater and had a Hypno battle for the first time in the series AFAIK. Also, more Pokemon using unusual moves like Houndoom's Counter (an egg move in the game) and Sneasel's Metal Claw.

Delia appears to be getting a bit obsessive with that camera.

Another of Ash's Pokemon's gender's is proven(sort of)! Oak referred to Snorlax as a "HE!"

What kind of "building" do Jessie and James seek to build anyway? A TR base, a beauty salon, a TR base disguised as a beauty salon?

Blaziken was awesome, and clearly shows how high-level, fully evolved Pokemon are in a league of their own when it comes to battling. It was amzing how it tore apart Bayleef's Razor Leaves with a dizzying barrage of talon-tipped kicks, then caught her Vine Whip effortlessly before knocking her out in one blow.

Though Bayleef was very cute in how she celebrated winning over Houndoom. I've never seen her so happy!

And let's not forget Totodile's HAPPILIY INSANE DANCE OF GREEN WEASEL DEATH!!!!
